"You never quite get used to it. I still get majorly pissed when I'm out on shifts, like, weekly." He snorted. "At least it's over. How're you feeling otherwise?"

[A knock on Cyclone's door, and a paper slid underneath. The paper reads:]

Due to insubordination in the form of directly disobeying orders, you have been formally demoted two ranks. Alongside this, your employee card has been temporarily deactivated, and you will be unable to go on regular shifts for the duration of one month. Your pay will also be docked.

The octoling immediately frowns when he read the note. He knew getting his way into EVP would be done, but all the other stuff was an issue. He opened the door to see if anyone was still outside. “Hang on!” He called out. He had to come up with something, and fast.
