hello......... little wonders art request.......... that scene of Ocean and Constance that goes:

“She’d stepped off the bus and immediately rushed to the Blackwood house, where she’d reportedly begged for forgiveness on her knees. From what I hear, there’s a lot Ocean hasn’t told us, but Constance has said in that familiar sweet voice of hers, “Everything is fine.” And for once, I believe her. 15: What did you learn from writing this fic? Bc man,,,I’ve learned stuff reading this fic. Young adulthood, how to handle it, how to find the beauty in it…I’ll sob ANYWAY

i also learned all that stuff! it also helped remind me that writing should be fun, not to accomplish any specific statistic goals or anything. oc work is less common and less read in general - which is fine! - but i’m still gonna write it bc it makes me happy. 128k words later and i’m havin the time of my life!

3: What’s your favorite line of narration?

There were a couple silly ones that I had so much fun with, but I might have to say:

Connie grabs for her hand, and Ocean takes it, just as she has done since they both scrambled up monkey bars and harbored anthropomorphized animal infatuations. It feels just as nice as it did then.

It makes me think of how they knew each other when they were kids - and now, they’ve grown up together enough to babysit Annie’s!

4: What’s your favorite line of dialogue?

It’s between

“[…] These two wouldn’t know an interjection from a preposition if it hit them in the face!” […] “I, I don’t know how to play with them! Feed them! Entertain them! What do I look like to you? A circus clown? A Michelin-star chef? Noel Gruber?”

and
