Bagahe Padala App [Week 15: Perspectives]
Week 15. The last week for TECHNOPRENUERSHIP and the DEMO day.
This week is presenting the start-up to 3 experts of the start-up field. I can say I am quite nervous when presenting but I was able to shake off those nerves.
This is how the pitch went.
"
I started my pitch with a TRUE story AND SITUATION of an OFW named EMMA SALAN who wanted to surprise her family on arrival from abroad but opted not to because she is afraid of bringing a big bulk of baggage all by herself.  So instead of surprising her family, she called her husband to come to pick her up and spoiled her surprise welcome home.
Is it really a problem? Yes, EMMA AND WE SHARE SAME PROBLEM OF LIFTING HEAVY BAGGAGE ALL BY ourselves to the point of we felt like our arms and hand would fall off.
Now, knowing this kind of problem of heavy baggage with no help and with no public transportation at hand. The team discovers solution to the problem.
A ride hailing cab that is available 24/7 where users can choose the riders, hails at the nearest available rider, with hassle free because users can get extra help from the riders. Users will experience safe ride, THAT CAN book anytime anywhere. An app that books today, delivers today.
The BAGAHE PADALA APP and services where users can choose 2 services. Either the book today, delivers today service or the scheduled pickup.
Users can know the rider's location if they chose the delivery. Users’ loved ones can know the user's location by sharing their location using the Global Positioning System.
Riders are part of this start up too. Riders have different user interface that targets easy access. Lists the available bookings and the job offers.
So as the start up is on its formative years, the application will target the people that mostly needed this application for they bring heavy baggage, items and purchases on a regular basis and everyday life cycles. These are the OFW, balikbayans. Travellers and vacationers and the sari-sari store owners.
As we looked into the numbers of the potential market for this app the team sees a great potential for potential users. With a total number of (TAM) these numbers are of the total for the three target customers.
The TAM: 491,925,000 POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS IN THE WHOLE PHILIPPINES
The SAM156,839,466 POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS IN MINDANAO
The SOM: 42,307,608 POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS IN CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY
Seeing the numbers uplifts the team to hope for a chance to make the BAGAHE PADALA APPLICATION survive in the competitive market of ride hailing cab business.
That’s why the team decided to focus the traction : Viral marketing as social media viral stories can hit millions of users in a minute. ZMDC will build a good reputation toward its customers by giving them cheap, hassle free and safe service of transportation that can generate profit to sustain and maintain the start up.
The application is based on the commission revenue model in which the free application will get commission rates of 3 % in every transaction which is the cheapest among the competition. Advertisements following the CPC, CPM, CPV and CPA methods will rack up some profit that will generate Revenue Streams of money.
Now, the greatest competitor we have is the GRAB, because they are already established but we can outdo them by offering riders and customers with cheapest transportation fee with the state of the art app programming and development.
The team is capable of running this start up , employing best programmers that can create the app that the team is hoping for.
ZMDC A dynamic and strategic team with complimentary skills set that will always value customer’s wants over self-indulgence.
If we can have the capital and investment we ask for, in the next 5 years, BAGAHE PADALA APP and services can compete with the other leading competitor. Users tend to value cheap price more. This app will offer cheap, safe yet state of the art service.
As we always go back to the vision of the Team which is valuing the customers above all. Me together with my team will impress the users and customers by an An application that offers transportation with hassle-free ,cheap, and safe transportation ride for all in need.
DROP OFF HEAVY ITEMS AT YOUR DOORSTEP. BOOKS TODAY, DELIVERS TODAY.-- BAGAHE PADALA APPLICATION
"
Update: The comment of the panelist who was assigned to us was to further research and regulate how our app will work. This is a very much appreciated comment as the team wants to proceed with the application development and distribution to the market.

Bagahe Padala App [Week 14: Perspectives]
Week 14 is about Intellectual Property and Solutions for the start-up. Hence the following:
Updated the Business Model following the instructor`s comments and suggestions.
Tumblr media
There is not much change for the Bagahe Padala App Business Model. The only comment we have prior to this week is to include Web applications to our channels.
THE HIGH-FIDELITY PROTOTYPE
Introducing the Bagahe Padala App high-fidelity prototype to the class and demonstration and navigation on how to use it. Chrishia and Melody covered the customer's and courier navigation , respectively. They demonstrated how to use the app and how the app can be used by users for providing vehicles to attend to their needs.
The link below is the high-fidelity prototype created by ZMDC's designer. Try and please comment on how can we further improve the application interface.

Bagahe Padala App [Week 13: Perspectives]
This week revolves around continuing the Bagahe Padala App prototype, Bullseye Framework and GO-TO Market Plan.
THE BULLSEYE FRAMEWORK
There are 19 tractions in all. ZMDC ranked these tractions until the Bagahe Padala App will use TOP 3 prioritized Tractions.
The ZMDC`s Hipster, Daylyn crafted the Bullseye Framework and she did a good job.
Tumblr media
We then tested the inner circle ideas:
Viral marketing is the one ZMDC choose since it is a promotion that relies on an audience to produce the message of our software and service. Because this marketing is shared by the general public rather than simply its intended audience, our Bagahe app Padala and services will be known not only in a local society but also in a big community. It will target the SOM.
• HOW MUCH WILL IT COST TO ACQUIRE CUSTOMERS THROUGH THIS CHANNEL? This viral marketing could potentially cost 5 digits numbers. • HOW MANY CUSTOMERS DO YOU THINK ARE AVAILABLE? Mainly, Featured stories and advertisements through Facebook are more chance of getting viral. So, we’re going to focus on Facebook. According to Rappler, there has been a 200% rate of users in Cagayande Oro, meaning, a lot, that amounts to 6 digit numbers. • ARE THE CUSTOMERS GETTING THROUGH THE CHANNEL YOU WANT RIGHT NOW? Yes. In a 2017 analysis of Facebook demographics, Simon Kemp noted that “there are more 18-year-old men using Facebook today than there are 18-year-old men living on Earth.”
Another option ZMDC considered is content marketing, which is a method we can employ in our app to attract, engage, and retain users by developing and distributing relevant articles, videos, podcasts, and other media. It is really useful in our app for establishing expertise, promoting our app, and keeping our business at the top.
• HOW MUCH WILL IT COST TO ACQUIRE CUSTOMERS THROUGH THIS CHANNEL? ZMDC believes that this is not going to cost large money. We the founders can make the content itself because we have the resources. We can simply pay for SEO tools to be recognized by a lot by a large market. • HOW MANY CUSTOMERS DO YOU THINK ARE AVAILABLE? Since internet is available for everyone, ZMDC will assume just like the 6 digit numbers on Viral Marketing. • ARE THE CUSTOMERS GETTING THROUGH THE CHANNEL YOU WANT RIGHT NOW? Yes.
The top three traction channels that can help our startup are business development, marketing, and sales. All businesses, according to experts, require this type of traction channel to help us summarize the ideas, initiatives, and activities that contribute to our startup's growth. This includes increasing income, expanding the company, and improving customer service. Profitability is achieved via smart relationships and sound business decisions.
• HOW MUCH WILL IT COST TO ACQUIRE CUSTOMERS THROUGH THIS CHANNEL? Business development professionals work to develop a company by evaluating their performance and looking for areas to improve. As of now, ZMDC cannot estimate the numbers but we are sure that the cost will not go down by 5 digits , since we have to pitch to big companies and we need resources. • HOW MANY CUSTOMERS DO YOU THINK ARE AVAILABLE? According to our TAM, SAM, SOM, this could amounts to 1 MILLION potential customers. • ARE THE CUSTOMERS GETTING THROUGH THE CHANNEL YOU WANT RIGHT NOW? Yes. This will be visible for everyone and we will make sure of that.
After deliberation the team decided to focus on VIRAL MARKETING:
Bagahe Padala App will establish a solid foundation and a positive reputation among clients. For the time being, investors will be hesitant to invest if we cannot demonstrate our company's potential. ZMDC will concentrate on VIRAL MARKETING, since influencers nowadays are willing to try anything for content and reviews. The Bagahe Padala App might gain from their vlogs by encouraging their followers to download the app. We will spend less than we planned.
THE PROTOTYPE
ZMDC Team chose the violet pallete as the theme or color for the application. This color is distinct from the other competitors. The UX of the application is being worked on by Chrishia and Melody.
We have also presented the landing page of the application.
THE GO-TO-MARKET PLAN
Tumblr media
A go-to-market strategy, also known as a GTM strategy, is a detailed business plan that details how you'll get your new spirit, wine, beer, or RTD to market. It's a roadmap that forecasts your beverage alcohol brand's future success in on- and off-premise venues, as well as through direct-to-consumer channels. These forecasts are based on your market research and data from competitors.
Our GO-TO MARKET PLAN is very distinct and relevant to address the problems of our target audience. It will also answer if the application is marketable and when will be the distribution of the app.
Update: For the TRACTION, our TECHNOPRENUERSHIP instructor suggested to include Social Display Ads to our TRACTIONS. She also suggested to work more on the landing page---- more accessible to users.

Bagahe Padala App [Week 12: Perspectives]
This week we started creating our high-fidelity prototype of Bagahe Padala Application. To accommodate the big bulk of works for our start-up, the team decided to split the team of two. While our designers are busy crafting the prototype, Daylyn and I are in-charge for the Business Model Canvas.
As the Hustler, I need to oversee both works so I have been checking the prototypes progress and the business model every now and then. The team has a great dynamic and synergy while doing this week`s deliverables.
THE BUSINESS MODEL CANVAS
Tumblr media
The team has chosen the automotive services as the key partners because anyone with a vehicle can sign with the business and be the riders or couriers. Bagahe Padala App can also be the avenue for other business to promote their respective businesses.
The key activities mainly surround the app`s services which is the main goal is the hassle-free and cheap transportation ride.
Bagahe Padala App will always envision its value proposition and try to fulfilling it.
DROP OFF HEAVY ITEMS AND BAGGAGE AT YOUR DOORSTEP. BOOK TODAY, DELIVER TODAY!
Through the GET, KEEP, and GROW we can maintain customer relationship and expand the business. These three key points will always ensure that we can get enough customers to survive in the business market.
Since Bagahe Padala App is a free application, this will be available through GOOGLE and IOS stores---customers can download the app anytime, anywhere. Customer`s persona of the customers are coming from all socio economic statuses --- could be anyone as long they have the ability to pay for the services. But, for now the business is focusing on the OFW, Balikbayans, traveller, vacationers, and sari-sari store owners.
The cost structure for developing, distributing, and maintenance of the app could amount to hundreds of thousands.
The revenue streams were already discussed in the week 11. Please see the attached link for further information.
This weeks deliverables made the team trust each others guts and capabilities. Communicate regularly and be open-minded also play vital roles for this weeks success. We communicate with each other and throw our suggestions and comments-- be it positive and negative the team work harmoniously.
This week as a HUSTLER I realized that---
LEADERS DONT CREATE FOLLOWERS, THEY CREATE LEADERS.
Update: As our TECHNOPRENUERSHIP subject instructor suggested to include WEB APPLICATION as one of our channels. This is a great suggestion! ZMDC realized that customers can access the service through the web application.

Bagahe Padala App [Week 11: Perspectives]
Math and numbers.
These two words are the main stars for this week. This week we crafted the Bagahe Padala App`s Revenue Model.
Along the process, the team has done a lot of revisions to come up with the perfect revenue model that fits the start up.
ZDMC decided to use the Commission Revenue Model.
Below is our business model. This a linear business model that reaches the goal of generating profit through cheap charging fee and advertisements methods.
Tumblr media
A user is charged a fee for each transaction in the commission model. It is by far the most common business strategy for an online marketplace. The marketplace receives a percentage or a fixed fee for its services when the client pays the provider. Either the customer or the consumer might be charged by the platform.
For now, Bagahe Padala App will operate free of charge and we will profit the business by taking commission rates every transaction.
We take 3% commission rate from every transaction which is the cheapest rate among the competitors. Our lowest commission rate could be our competitive advantage among the competing business.
Revenue Streams
We can profit Bagahe Padala App by taking other businesses` advertisements following the CPA, CPV, CPC, and CPM advertisement method. Each click could amount to a corresponding rate.
OUR VARIOUS COMPUTATIONS
TOTAL REVENUE FOR THE ADVERTISEMENT METHODS
We get the total revenue of APP ads by using this formula EX: ₱11.55 (ADS RATES) * 10 est. No of ads = ₱115.50 : ₱1,055.108 (overall total of rates) * 30 (days Fee for Advertisement) = ₱31,653.00
Computation for transportation revenue
Since our computed TAM is 1,000,000 customers, we can assume that number to compute the commission revenue and net revenue.
1,000,000.00(Frequency of customers) * ₱547.66 (riders transportation payment)= ₱547,660,000.00
Computation for founders commission revenue
1,000,000.00(Frequency of customers) * ₱16.94(Founders commission)= ₱16,938,000.00
Computation for Net revenue
₱564,631,653 + ₱31,653,000,000 = ₱564,631,653 - ₱6,502.81 (fees we need to pay)
Total Net Revenue =₱564,635,533.71
LIFETIME AVERAGE OF THE CUSTOMER
LIFETIME CUSTOMER VALUE= AVERAGE VALUE OF SALES * NUMBER OF TRANSACTIONS * LIFETIME /COURSE OF YEARS
LIFETIME CUSTOMER VALUE= 564.00 (Estimated minimum charging fee from Laguindingan to CDO proper ) * 5 (Average number of travel/arrival per year ( Interviewed 10 persons Travellers and OFW)) * 5
LIFETIME CUSTOMER VALUE= Php 14,100
ESTIMATED MINIMUM COST OF TRANSPORTATION FEE FROM LAGUINDINGAN AIRPORT TO CDO PROPER= 564.00
NUMBER OF TRANSACTION PER YEAR BASED LATEST SURVEY = 5 PER YEAR
Average time a customer remains active before they drop off and go “dormant= 5 years

Bagahe Padala App [Week 10: Perspectives]
This week  we defined our target customers, its description, how we can address customers' pains, and how we can take advantage of their problems.
Description of the Target Customers
Our inspiration for this start up idea are the OFW's who have been enduring the pains of hauling their heavy baggage and items all alone when they are departing or arriving in their hometowns. My Auntie is an OFW and  has been in and out of the country for almost 15 years. One time I asked her if she ever thought of surprising her family of her arrival, she said 'DILI KO KAY KAPOY AKO RA HAKOT SA AKO DALHONON' (' I won't do it because I have to lift all my balikbayan boxes all by myself.')
My conversation with my Aunt made me think, if there is a convenient, safe and cheap ride hailing cab will my Auntie surprise her family? Hence, BAGAHE PADALA APP AND SERVICES will create the way so that my Auntie can finally surprise her family for her next arrival by the year 2024.
The target market of Bagahe Padala App and Services are the OFW/balikbayans, vacationers/travelers and sari-sari store owners who share the same pain of lifting heavy baggage all by themselves with no available public transportations at hand. As we conducted our different rounds of interviews to our potential customers, the customers demanded a cheap, safe, and hassle free transportation experience.
This week is about crafting our start-up competitive advantages among the other competitors. Leverages against other competitors is like our start-up's express ticket to success. It will also make our product the queen of the crop and rack up customers.
Our Competitors are Grab Taxi, Maxim, and Padyak.
Grab is our greatest competitor. The Grab taxi is an established brand and product and has been racking millions of dollars per month including loyal customers.  Now the question is, how can we convince our potential customers to use Bagahe Padala App instead of Grab Taxi, Maxim, Padyak.
I've learned a lot this week. This week was like scavenging other competitors' mess and errors and feed from it.
EDGE OF BAGAHE PADALA APP AMONG OTHERS
After we decode what could be done on our App, we thought of ways how we can win our potential customers. Hence, the competitive advantages.
Bagahe Padala is the perfect solution to address the pains of our target customers. Thus, the customers will have a stress-free and baggage-free experience through Bagahe Padala.
• Accurate Map location ( Grab Taxi , Maxim and Padyak users have been complaining about how inaccurate their maps are. Users have been telling these apps for months yet the errors are still persisting. We went to Grab Taxis playstore reviews and there are a lot of instances where customers' addresses are not the one they are inputted. Like-- how this particular customer has to wait for hours for an available transportation. Like-- instead of Taguig , the drop off point for one customer is Pasig.  Reading these comments signify that the app is experiencing system glitch. )
• Cheap price for safe and fast delivery ( Maxim users have been complaining about ridiculous charges.Though the price was calculated before the transaction, the users have been feeling the app is overcharging. The users also have been complaining about the verbally abusive riders and the unending error of map location.)
• App translation for Non-english speakers  ( This will be our advantage since competitors app
Since one of our target customers are
• Bagahe Padala App follows the Freemium and Premium Model
We can market our product with our value proposition and convenient service for everybody. We can make an appeal by promoting it to social media accounts like Facebook , INSTAGRAM , etc and garner investments by doing pitches to potential partners.
CUSTOMER PROJECTED SALES ( NEXT 5 YEARS)
We dont have the projected sales as we are on the first stage of crafting the app.
But according to our TAM, SAM, AND SOM if ALL OF THE POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS WILL BUY AND USE OUR PRODUCT WE COULD ACCUMULATE AN ESTIMATE Estimated Market = 42,307,608.
PRICING COMPARISON
Our pricing is the cheapest out of the competitors. This could be one of our competitive advantages with Php 42 base fee for 1KM + Php 12 succeeding kilometers. Grab, Maxim and Padyak range their base fee from 44-60 with 14-15 in the succeeding kilometers.
CUSTOMER RATINGS
We can only hypothesize for now because we haven't really launched our start up.
7 out 10 would buy and use Bagahe Padala app and Services according to our surveys. While our competitors which are follows:
According to our random sampling of 10 of Grab users’ reviews, 7 out 10 users are not happy with the application. They said  the app USED TO BE GOOD but nowadays it's full of bugs, map location problems, and sometimes does not have available riders, etc.
We conducted a random sampling of 10 of Maxim’s users where 9 out 10 of its users have problems. The users have been complaining about the ridiculously charges, verbally abusive riders, map problems , etc.
According to the App’s reviews, 7 out 10 users have been complaining about the unresponsiveness of the users’ queries and it doesn’t have ‘Tracking' like how the company advertises it, etc.

Bagahe Padala App [Week 9: Perspectives]
This week is after the Holy Week season so we are expected to perform well after the 4 days break. But honestly, as a third-year college student, other than enjoying eating BINIGNIT, I do not have that much free time to relax.
This week is about assessing market size and share and formulating TAM, SAM, and SOM.
TAM, SAM, and SOM are analysis practices used to determine the potential of a product or service offering and if it is worth bringing to market. These analysis are on based on statistical data that needed to incorporated and computed with our start-up data to determine if our start up has a chance to prevail.
We've discovered a lot while researching about the market we are entering for the start-up. We found out the following:
TRANSPORTATION NETWORK COMPANY BUSINESS / RIDE-HAILING CAB BUSINESS
It was predicted by Statista Research Department in 2021 that the revenue of the public transportation in the Philippines has amounted to $855 MILLION which is forecasted by the year 2025. Competitors like Grab Holdings amount to $675 Million estimations of net revenue from 2020 to 2021. Though 2020, Grab took a loss of 26% of its earnings but slowly went racking up sales.
GROWTH POTENTIAL FOR THE BAGAHE PADALA APP
16% - Android developers over $5,000 a month
25%- IOS developers over $ 5,000 a month
GOOGLE SLASH FEE - ONE TIME FEE OF $25
IOS YEARLY SLASH FEE - $ 99
WE CAN AVOID PAYING THESE ON THE FORMATIVE YEARS AS THE APP IS 'FREE' .
WAYS TO PROFIT
MONETIZATION BY TRANSACTION FEES + ADVERTISEMENTS FOLLOW THE CPM, CPC, CPV, and CPA METHODS + FOLLOW FREEMIUM MODEL
FORMATIVE YEARS FORECASTED 1-5 YEARS OF SERVICE - RACKING COURIER AND CUSTOMERS BY ADVERTISEMENTS
FREEMIUM MODEL
Instead of charging users a fee from the start, freemium apps allow users access to basic features. However, to access premium features, users are required to pay a fee. This fee will be renewed every year.
//PREMIUM SERVICES, WHERE EVERY TRANSACTION HAS REWARD POINTS. ACCUMULATED REWARD POINTS CAN EQUATE TO A FREE RIDE.// What we're trying to do during the first years of the business is not burn it down. This means we must not be haste to do something risky, as these years are crucial.
DURING 1-3 YEARS, THE APP WILL SOLELY FOCUS ON THE TARGET MARKET( OFW'S/BALIKBAYANS, SARI-SARI STORE OWNERS, AND TRAVELLERS/VACATIONERS). When the lost profit is recovered, we will expand to courier service, allowing small items delivery and two-wheeled couriers to partake in the business.
To know about our potential customers, we interviewed 10 people. It is needed to be done to know the percentage of people who want to use the application.
Knowing our potential customers….
Seeing things from the customers perspectives because they know what they are looking for.
AS AN ENTREPRENEURS, DONT ASSUME THAT WE KNOW CUSTOMERS' PAINS!

Bagahe Padala App [Week 8: Perspectives]
This week is about the Midterm Authentic Presentation. This is the accumulation of all the lessons and activities we had for the past 7 weeks. I amazes me how did we come to this moment where we able to passed the required 7weeks outputs for the Technopreneurship.
As the CEO, I volunteered myself to do the presentation. I am shouldering the powerpoint presentation because out of my team I know more about our start up. And it is my job to oversee everything with regards to Bagahe Padala App and services. I instructed my team to read everything from the start so that they know the course we are taking and where were we for Technopreneurship and start up idea.
What we incorporated in the presentation are the following:
PROBLEM/NEED WE ARE ADDRESSING:
Heavy Lifting of baggage with no available public transportation
TARGET CUSTOMERS: OFW/BALIKBAYANTRAVELLER SARI-SARI STORE OWNERS IN CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY
UNIQUE VALUE PROPOSITION
”DROP OFF HEAVY ITEMS AND BAGGAGES AT YOUR DOOR STEP. BOOK TODAY, DELIVER TODAY!”
CUSTOMER DISCOVERY JOURNEY:
Most interesting interview is with an OFW.
An interview with an OFW from Bahrain. She has been a Balikbayan for almost 2 decades and experiences problems (heavy baggage and transportation) that needed solutions. We interviewed her through a video call. She gladly answered our queries. She even gave some suggestions for the app and also gave some advices if ever we get to work abroad.
LARGEST CHALLENGE:
FINALIZING THE PRODUCT WITH NO ERROR AND DISTRIBUTING TO THE MARKET. Its because we are worrying about phones compatibility with the app.
CHALLENGES IN THE WEEKS AHEAD:
Product Development and Final Testing
Working high-fidelity prototype + testing phase
Evaluation on the Prototype
Acquisitions phase, Finance and Marketing
Acquiring target/ potential customers by giving them beta test runs + finance acquisition
Operations and Administrating
Distributing and deploying it to the market and operating , Monitoring of the operations and evaluation of the product.
For the pitching, we've decided to start with a short story of an OFW. Storytelling as an introduction is an effective opening for pitch because it can make the audience visualize what will happen in
Why we chose storytelling as introduction for our Midterm Pitch?
We can be able to connect with the audience and generate interest in in the startup when we add narrative into the pitch deck. It will aid in the formation of an emotional bond, which will boost the chance of a favorable reaction to our pitch.
During the presentation, we have encountered technical difficulties. The powerpoint presentation got frozen and we run out of time. Honestly, during our test runs and run-through before the actual presentation, everything went smoothly but I do not know why that happened. Its an experience for us and we will learn from it.
I am proud to say, i have no qualms nor complaints with regards to ZMDC TEAM because all of my team are capable, competent, and excellent. I have shown my appreciation as the CEO by giving them deserving peer evaluation mark.

Week 7: Perspectives
This week is about storytelling and also getting feedback from our potential market. Feedbacks from customers are important. As an entrepreneur, we wanted to know if we are still on the course of being the solution to the customers' pain. On week 6, ZMDC created an MVP through a video inspired by DropBox MVP. This week we've presented it to people and gathered some essential data.
MVP
We asked these questions after they are done watching the MVP video. What did you understand in the video?
Is it Minimum?
Does our service/app offer minimum service?
Is it Viable?
Is it Pre-mediated or a product?
Does our app is a solution to our customers' problems?
What are your suggestions for the betterment of our app?
We've interviewed three individuals, and gladly those three said that they are willing to use our product if it will come out on the play store. Getting these kinds of words of anticipation is really motivating and keeps from moving. These comments and suggestions will help us craft a well-done prototype and MVP.
Feedback is essential and is a tool that may be used to assist us and also assess our work, as well as how they are seen by others. While employees and students require feedback, it is equally critical for leaders who believe in growth to solicit input, set an example, and serve as an inspiration to others.

Week 6: Perspectives
This week is the crafting of MVP and Low-Fidelity prototypes. This has been the yet most challenging week of technopreneurship. We've done a lot of research and interviews so we could come up with a viable and doable MVP and easy to navigate Low-Fidelity Prototype. LOW-FIDELITY PROTOTYPE
Prototyping is cool and enjoyable to do. Our start-up is an app that needs to be prototyped first to know how it works. Low-fidelity prototypes are frequently made of paper and do not allow users to interact with them. From hand-drawn mock-ups to printouts, there's something for everyone. Low-fidelity sketches should be easier to make in theory. Yes, we've drawn our prototype on paper. Each rectangle (phone frame) is labeled and we also provide legends for clear instructions for those who wanted to see our Low-Fidelity Prototype. We also did the Wireframing that connects each rectangle. It must be done to know the flow or how the navigation works for the app. MVP
Crafting MVP is very tricky because we have to set aside that unnecessary information and just focus on what's important. We've deliberately conducted 2 meetings just to come up with the prototype and MVP. During our research, we read that Dropbox did their very first MVP through a video. Watching their video is fascinating because the computer that the narrator is using was an old version of Microsoft and it wonders me, how do they come up with this solution/service. Though the video is low-quality and doesn't offer a creative presentation, it still provides what the customers needed and what their service could offer. Hence, we felt an overwhelming idea of creating an MVP video. While making the script, we always looked back to these questions: Is it Minimum? Does your service/app offer minimum service? Is it Viable? Is it Pre-mediated or a product? After 3 attempts, we've come up with this script. Our MVP is an animated scene about our customers availing of our Bagahe Padala App. It shows how our app will address the customers' problems.
This is Chrisma, an OFW, This is Jane, an excited traveler. This is Rose, a sari-sari store owner. Chrisma is at the airport waiting for her transportation with a lot of pasalubong. Jane is waiting for her transportation in the terminal carrying a lot of her traveling goods. Rose, is walking to the terminal---bringing her heavy groceries. Chrisma, Jane, and Rose are not friends nor knew each other, but they are experiencing the same pain, and hassle. What is it? It is HEAVY BAGGAGE WITH NO AVAILABLE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION and they are struggling with it. Thinking about how could escape from this problem. They've got an idea. Chrisma gets her phone and downloaded the Bagahe Padala app, and booked a service. Jane and Rose are also doing the same thing. Jane chose from the available services or courier near her location. and Rose is expecting her transportation in less than 5 minutes. After the transactions and delivery... Chrism arrived at her home 15 minutes early with no hassle. Jane arrived at her exact destination for a cheap payment. Rose and her groceries arrived home in no less than 20 minutes with someone helping her. These three just used the Bagahe Padala app, and yet, they experienced comfort, travel-stress-free, hassle-free transportation at an affordable price. USING BAGAHE PADALA APP IS EASY AS 1 , 2, 3. 1. DOWNLOAD THE APP. 2. REGISTER AS THE CUSTOMER. 3. FILL OUT THE NECESSARY INFORMATION FOR THE JOB ORDER. and. SERVICE IS ON THE WAY, with Less hassle, assist you anytime, and take care of your belongings. BAGAHE PADALA APP AND SERVICES . Dropping off heavy items at your doorstep. Book Today! Deliver Today!

Week 5: Perspectives
This week ZMDC( my team) conducted the second round of questioning our potential customers. The team was able to uncover and know things that only the customers know. My perspective in this week is that---it is very crucial to know the struggles of our potential customers. It enables us--DEVELOPMENT TEAM/STARTUP-- to see things from the perspective of our customers. It's very easy to pretend we know things that only customers know but that hinders the service we want to convey to our potential customers. Hence, it is very important to see things in a bigger picture rather pretend we know our customer`s struggles. CUSTOMER PERSONA That`s where customer persona comes in. Through the customer`s persona, we get to better address what are things our customers wanted to gain. We get to know their motivations. If they are technically adept to use or app. Knowing them truly opens our eyes to make amendments, adjustments for the betterment of our start-up. WORKFLOW and a DAY IN LIFE OF OUR POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS
Knowing how our customers spend their day is like a cheat code. We get to target at which time our service is in high demand. With our startup in mind, we've interviewed strangers. I've found this OFW online who`s been a balikbayan for almost 2 decades. She discloses that every time she goes home, her energy is depleted a lot because carrying all those heavy pieces of baggage and she can`t bond with her family on THAT day. One time, she wanted to surprise her family but opt not to because she worries about her items of baggage. SO, this is where I talked about our start-up. I inquired what does she wants to have with our app. It's a good thing that she was very responsive and very honest. I listed all of her suggestions and ZMDC will apply that to our start-up.

Week 4: Perspectives
This week I've learned how to craft Hypotheses and the importance of leading questions when starting a startup.
Before forming a hypothesis, knowing the customers must come first and shall be the ultimate goal for any start-up. Steve Jobs said in the formative days of the Apple Corporation he made a mistake that most startup does. He said he worked on his technology without looking at it from the consumers' perspectives. That's why the corporation had experience setbacks but Steve Jobs listened to his consumers and bounced back. He quoted "You've got to start with the customer service and work back to the technology---not the other way around."
This week's lecture was an eye-opener to me. It has made me realize things that filled the gaping holes in our start-up. Customer Discovery is all about the customer. We build a startup because we want to build a product that could be a solution to a problem. HYPOTHESIS When crafting a hypothesis, research is needed. You can never go wrong with the right facts and knowledge. Research allows the members to know which startup is related to a big business. They can then learn from them and acquire knowledge and use it to their advantage.
I've learned to follow these questions when forming hypotheses:
Step 1. Ask a question with connections with the start up Step 2. Do some preliminary research Step 3. Formulate hypothesis Step 4. Refine hypothesis Step 5. Phrase hypothesis Step 6. Write Null hypothesis Having different type of customers means different hypothesis. In our start up case, we are targeting variety kind of customers so we must craft hypotheses that adhere to its specific profile.
QUESTIONS A well-crafted questions really help the startup. In terms of the numbers of respondents, there's no ideal percentage statistics but those numbers---respondents---- will be statistical data that is needed. This statistics will be guiding path of information which is essential for a startup and also dictates the course of the startup will take.

Week3: Perspectives
It is hard to come up with start-up ideas especially ,when there are already tons of start-ups present. But, who knows this startup of ours will boom someday? It was nerve-wracking to be criticized but helpful at the same time. Thanks to the objective inputs from the outside perspective, ZMDC able to pinpoint what start-up idea has the potential in the market and chose BAGAHE PADALA. The comments and suggestions made by ma'am were very effective because we can reassess our ideas. Pondering on which is the best avenue we could take to have a successful start-up is important. I realize that working on something this idealistic offers a lot of stress and brain ransacking. When you are working that addresses something, you should think from the consumers perspective. Like, answer the questions: Is it innovative? How does it address the pain of the customers? How do you take the customers' pain? Will our customers avail this?
ZMDC was able to interview potential target customers of which 100% of the(13) respondents do bulk buying. Only 2 of them have their vehicles to use when buying something. These three words came out when we interviewed the potential target market. HASSLE, HEAVY, and HASSLE.
Hence, here are the consolidated CUSTOMERS' PAIN: H- assle buying in bulk and you don't have own vehicle; A-gony hauling the items on crowded and tight public transportations; S-truggle to go one store to the other; S-ecured place to leave the items unattended is nowhere; L-ifting heavy items with bare hands while shopping; E-xpense triples when you leave items for longer than 1 hour in establishments.
These pains also apply to wholesalers, vacationers, Balikabayans, sari-sari store owners, people who have big things to carry, etc. Identifying the pain of the potential customers enables the team to find ways on addressing the problems. Rather than school compliance, I want this startup would come to be a business in the future. This may sound idealistic but I am hoping that it will survive in the market.
Also, Value Proposition Canva and Business Template: Value Proposition Canva is like the trademark and the identity of the start-up. How our start-up is different from others. Startup like us, can use the Value Proposition Canvas to determine the optimal product-market match. Value Proposition Canvas fosters teamwork by facilitating the knowledge of what additional value is in the eyes of the consumers. Matches between a customer profile and value proposition show a product-market fit, which will boost your odds of success. And, business Template aims to always remind the team its goal and vision.

WEEK2: ZMDC'S 5 START UP IDEAS
GLASS BOTTLE TO GLASS SAND PROJECT Used bottles and jars would take up landfill space, therefore, converting it to glass sand preserves some good space. Glass recycling helps to cut down on the amount of glass that ends up in landfills and recycling bins. This is also a good environment project. The glass bottle to glass sand project aims to lessen glass garbage in Cagayan de Oro City by converting it back to glass sand. Glass sand can be of commercial use such as the following: COASTAL RESTORATION Glass sand is more angular and courser. This attribute could prevent further erosion in the coastal areas. Glass sand could be also used as sandbags. GOOD FOR CONSTRUCTION Glass sand is more durable and cheaper than regular sand. AESTHETIC PRODUCTS Glass sand can be made into a variety of ornaments. FOOD DELIVERY TRACING APP The food delivery business is booming since people nowadays avoid going outside. That’s why do you often use food delivery apps like Food Panda? If yes, do you usually get shocked when the delivery arrives then the intended time because you haven’t prepared the money? Then, have a read on this idea. Food Delivery Tracing App is a food delivery tracing and monitoring system/application where customers can know the exact location of the intended food delivery. This tracing app is exclusive to food delivery apps. A map is shown on the screen and customers can pinpoint the exact location of the order. This application also aims to help customers get ready for the arrival of the food delivery and help the delivery riders lessen their workload. Delivery riders don’t have to text the customers when they are almost in the area. HOUSE FOR RENT TRACKER Looking for a place to stay but cannot find a reasonable price for a lodge? House for Rent Tracker is a systematic application that displays houses or place for rent and sale. The target market of this application is all those who are looking for permanent or rented houses and house realtors. This could be also applicable for tourists and people who wanted to have a staycation in the vicinity. Target market audiences can freely scroll to the number of options that are presented on the app. Users can book appointments through the app and can also directly talk to the seller/owner/realtor of the place by using the option found on the app. Houses and places rated through the following: Affordability/ Price Employment Opportunities Place Crime Rates and Statistics Commute Time & Public Transportation Options Health Care Facilities BAGAHE PADALA Nowadays, ZMDC observed that people often buy products in bulk. This scenario is very familiar for mothers who buy necessities in large amounts. While some people have vehicles to have their purchases sent home, others don’t. ZMDC has seen several people who struggle to lift their big purchases and haul them inside public transportation. This could be very taxing for everyone. Thus, this service could be the answer. Bagahe Padala is a baggage courier service that is inspired by ‘Angkas’. While Angkas carries a person, Bagahe Padala carries baggage, pieces of luggage, and purchased products. It is a drop-off center where customers can drop off their baggage and leave them for the time being, and or customers can choose to: (a) leave and pick up the baggage afterward; (b) send the baggage to the intended location TALK to FRIEND Mental Health issues are very prevalent and most teenagers don’t want to express themselves because of judgment. With the growing anxiety and depression that loom in society, it is important to have someone to talk to or to have someone to vent the worries------even to a stranger. This application could help the helpless by talking to strangers’ friends. Talking friends is a helpline application for individuals who seek refuge from loneliness and anxiety. Users can choose what role they should be---- (a)seeker: the one seeking help (b) helper: the one helping (c) both. In the app, users anonymously connected to the other stranger. Both users can converse and help each other by talking.
Revealing real identities is discouraged. It is upon the users whether to reveal their identity or not.
