Currently reading: i'm graudating this year, which means i have a lot of book i just have to read. currently Alcohols by G. Apollinaire

Last thing I googled: "kawasaki warehouse kowloon" - writing a novel inspired by kowloon so yknow. research instead of writing

Sweet/Spicy/Savory: Savory all the way! I don’t like spicy food generally (unless it’s cream cheese stuffed jalapenos) but I love Mexican food. My husband tells me this is an oxymoron, but I stand by it. And though I like savory food, I cannot live without my sweet tea! (That’s the Texas girl in me, Yee Haw!)

Last thing I googled: “Hell or Highwater Walkthrough” (it’s a romance club game and there is a free diamond rush event going on right now)

Current obsession(s): 1. My playlist for Insurrection. 2. historical research on King Louis the 14th and prominent members of his court, emphasis on the openly queer folks (despite it being against the law, but if you were a prince then hey). 3. LGBTQ stickers. I have them on everything…my laptop, my water bottles, the back of my car…..

what the fuck i love when you write stuff

there is a succulent on my desk, that I bought from trader joes, in a dark brown pot, that has a piece missing from the back.

i knocked it off the corner of my desk when i got back from christmas break, and a piece of the pot shattered on the radiator. the plant fell out but i had neglected to water it for so long that the dirt was dry and clumped together, and only the stragglers spilled on the floor. 

i put the succulent back into the broken pot, but i couldn’t bring myself to clean up the dirt; i didn’t have the energy for anything in those days. 

i faced the broken portion to the back, but when i step behind my desk to turn the valve on the radiator, and i remember knocking my plant off my desk, the moment where i felt as though i was falling with it towards the ground, so fast and there was no way to stop it. 

the ugly part is christmas break. the plane ride from LHR to LAX where my soul is breaking apart, ready to slip through the bars of prison and make peace with my cold steel cage. 

the plane ride back is trying to escape. i spend five hours ignoring the fact that i will return in three months. 

a lifetime of prison for weeks of freedom. 

after i die, i doubt the succulent will last very long. it is made for a dessert, but the world must still be spinning and the sun must still be shining for it to live on. 

so my life must be worth two, then.

defending them in their absence

kissing their forehead/cheek while wishing good-night

instead of asking you out on a date, they end up at your doorstep with a big ass bouquet, a cheeky smile and a handwritten letter!!!

when they hesitate to kiss because it'll change everything but you pull them in without a second thought

from feeling surreal at the thought of waking up beside them to actual doing so, and being smothered by their love
