Lesbians who have had history with men are still lesbians. Gay men who have had history with women are still gay. No matter how old you realize you're gay/lesbian, you are gay/lesbian. While some people in the community might say you aren't actually gay/lesbian, the majority of it strongly disagrees, and many have had similar experiences themselves. Lesbians and gay men who have had history with genders that they weren't attracted to are wonderful people and very real.
