I promised myself that I would post something for dyslexic awareness month, and there's only one day left, so this is what I've got.
I was organizing my studio and came across this passage in an old notebook. I see now that I probably should have ended the sentence at look?
Thoughts can come out in random order so sometimes dyslexic folks need a moment to put the words in the correct order. I find arrows really helpful to be able to read the order later.
My type of dyslexia is the 3D kind. I think in three dimensions and see objects and colors in my head. I see objects in my head that I want to create, I can then explope them, examine the parts, put them back together, then figure out the order needed to make the thing I just saw in my brain.
One of my favorite videos celebrating dyslexia.
I make what I make and do what I do because I'm dyslexic, not in spite of it.

A couple new blankets.
Top is a whole cloth quilt I made for the Welcome Blanket project. I've got that design for sale in my Spoonflower Cheater Quilt Collection.
Bottom is a jacquard woven blanket that I had made from one of my ink paintings available for purchase here.

Still working on the fanny pack problem. I've made three from three different patterns. Now I'm working on combining aspects that I like to create my own pattern. Starting prototype #1.

Three belt bags made from three different patterns. I like the top two better because I think they function better as both fanny pack and cross body bag. So I'm going to create my own pattern now using elements from those two.

First go at a fanny pack. I made a patchwork front for it. Turned out okay. Gonna try a different pattern for the next one.
For this one I followed these instructions, though I did the strap connectors a little differently.

It's not a shirt 😁 I'm using up some of my stack of half made masks to make patchwork patches.
Finished patches are up on my website.

I acquired some fabric cast offs from an interior design firm today. Now I’m sorting them, figuring out what I’m going to keep and what I’m going to give away.

Check it out - I got these two zebra plants a couple of years ago. One has been growing in the studio and one in the store. Lighting differences have had quite an effect.
