I haven't posted much on Tumblr lately, been busy with other things. Now, since the lockdown started in the UK, I have been hosting live crochet tutorials on Facebook. Check them out and let me know what you think.
Follow along project coming up...

Finally some Flame to add to the Fiber on my blog. So pleased with how these ceramic mugs have turned out. Still more to finish so keep an eye out (it will be a few week though)

So, this is the 2nd part of my stool upcycling project showing the finished product.
After cleaning up the stool, sanding down the legs, priming them and then spray painting them, I glued a piece of slightly oversized furniture foam to the top. Oh... and I had to glue the top in one corner too where the rivet had broken.
I then covered that with some spare fabric I had lying around (I think they were off cuts of some IKEA curtains) using a staple gun to secure the fabric in place.
I had already Tunisian crocheted the cover but hadn't checked the size properly (didn't account for the foam) so I had to add the border to it (in black). This gave me the opportunity to add the holes to the outside edge so I could then create a sort of drawstring to hold the cover on, makes for easy removal and washing too.
So there you have it. A very brief explanation of how I upcycled this old tatty stool into something I'm pretty pleased with!

So I haven't posted anything for a while! I've had a few projects on the go that aren't crochet related. This is a bit of both. A restoration project for a stool I fished out of a skip a few years ago (there are 2 actually, I haven't started the 2nd one yet). This is the first part, more to follow.

So, my husband brought this home for me today 😕
I was slightly confused... But it's actually very thoughtful. Next project will be some sort of footstool made using this as the base 😁

So I've parked the knitting for the moment. After restarting it a number of times, the last because I'd managed to pick up 14 extra stitches 😨, I've since made a basket and started on a cardigan. The basket is the perfect size of a ball of this fantastic rainbow cashmere wool
The basket pattern can be found here https://www.mooglyblog.com/organization-now-crochet-basket/.
The cardigan patter is here https://makeanddocrew.com/day-date-easy-crochet-sweater-pattern/.

I don't normally knit, we'll never actually. This wool I bought had a knitting pattern on the label so I thought I'd give it a try. It's by no means perfect but it's not awful, long way to go though. The wool is Aldi's festive rainbow yarn.

And it's finished, the corner to corner crochet blanket. Freshly washed and read to cut the ends off.
