Visual Development assignment from RCAD!!

I was tasked to design a kids bedroom (with a few more specifics). This I think was a huge turning point for me in relation to my digital painting progress.

I love figure drawing so much but it’s also so hard for me it’s discouraging sometimes, but looking at these from this past semester makes me feel better!

Just finished my second Visual Development project of the semester at RCAD. The point of this assignment was to tell a story only using color and world changes. I had a lot of fun with this one even though it killed me. I’m REEAAALLLYY trying to be a digital painter… is it working?

Day Three,

Posting this a day late because I was deciding if I even wanted to because of how ugly I think it is. But that’s okay! The trees killed me and I think if I redo it I’ll try my hand at a rake brush for the branches maybe?

Day Two,

Here is todays mini painting. I feel like I’m learning more how to block in light and colors rather than painting but I’ll take it anyways. I struggled not to give up on this one during the block in stage but glad I preserved!
