The Southeast Queens Biennial, organized by No Longer Empty, will be on view at the York College Fine Arts Gallery through April 21. Bring your quarters! The ArtBox is in the exhibit dispensing tiny artworks by members of the Southeast Queens Artist Alliance, including Margaret Rose Vendryes, Elizabeth Velazquez, Ify Chiejina, Marvenia Knight, Sherese Francis, Natali Bravo-Barbee, and Rejin Leys (me!).

York College Fine Arts Gallery is located in the Academic Core building, 94-20 Guy R Brewer Boulevard, Jamaica, Queens. Enter on Liberty Avenue. (E train to Parson’s Blvd)

Coin Slot

Prototype projection installation by Red Paper Heart displays an animation every time you insert a coin to it - video embedded below:

A prototype which connects a Coin Slot to a projection. Each time a coin is added it triggers an animation.

THIS GENIUS MACHINE FEEDS STRAY DOGS IN EXCHANGE FOR RECYCLED BOTTLES

The Turkish company Pugedon has created a vending machine that’s dispensing help for both the environment and our furry friends.

This should really be called "How Coke uses Technology to White Wash its Brand." "Coke gave out 10,000 cans of soda during the campaign, which is part of the brand’s larger mission to associate its product with happiness. “Coke has always been a brand that’s about positivity and optimism, and we’re always talking about how we can provoke just a little bit more happiness in the world." This is a 1 inch book that is available in @ArtBoxNY, my vending machine that lives at the Queens Museum. “Dream Big 2” is an unlimited edition relief printed accordion book, and is part of a project that reflects my interest in tchalas, books that give lottery numbers for images you might see in your dreams.
