i do pretty firmly believe that jouno’s “huh?” here is probably out of like genuine confusion and not like. disbelief. because fukuchi was literally like “i wanted to show you……… This” and then Stopped Talking and did not elaborate and jouno is fucking Blind. jouno doesn’t know bram he has no way to recognize him and depending on whether you think bram has a heartbeat or not jouno might not have even been able to tell he was there—i’m inclined to believe he doesn’t because jouno didn’t seem to hear or sense him at all as they approached. and if that’s the case fukuchi essentially said “i need to show you something” to a blind person and gestured at what jouno would perceive to be Absolutely Nothing and failed to explain literally at all for a minute or so

the alternative is, of course, that bram does have a heartbeat. and if that’s the case jouno probably heard it and then also heard the lack of. any other organs. so fukuchi was like “i need to show you something” [severed but somehow living head on a stick] which. can you imagine. if your boss just showed you a severed head and didn’t elaborate. jouno was probably like. what the fuck

As a trans woman, I have a lot of behaviors that i am VERY EXCITED to do that are considered traditionally feminine. And I think the General Societal Narrative of a trans women, say, being excited to bake a cake, is that she’s like, Sightseeing Womanhood, doing something Women Do because it tickles her to Be A Woman. Which is… fucking hogwash. these behaviors aren’t Things Women Do, they’re Things Men Don’t Do. 

The urge to bake a cake and coo at babies and welcome houseguests, I think, is just human, but it’s something that men are told basically from birth that they’re not allowed to do. So a huge part of the transfem experience isn’t Discovering New Hobbies That Let You Be A Girl, it’s finally allowing yourself to do things that you’ve spent decades believing you weren’t supposed to.

Slight BSD Manga Spoilers

Okay so recently, Kenji's ability has been bugging me. If you think about it, because of Kenji's ability and how it works, wouldn't his sleep schedule be completely wack. If he falls asleep after he's full, then he wouldn't fall asleep in the night unless he's eaten a shit tone before that, but that could compromise any missions he receives the next day so there's a high chance Kenji doesn't eat anything in the night which would lead to a messed up sleep schedule.

And then there's his pain tolerance and his strength back in his village. When Kenji was found by the ADA he had litterally destroyed a mountain. Yeah he was mad, but he was mad when he beat tetchous ass and the air port was still intact, so how long was Kenji actually starved until he was strong enough to destroy a mountain. His family moto was something along the lines of 'if a cow doesn't follow the rules beat it with whatever's close by ' (not accurate but basically the moto) and the fact Kenji so effortlessly treated humans the same way implies he had grown used to people also being refered to as cattle.

And back to the mountain point, even if the air port is still in tact because of Fukuzawas ability, doesn't that mean Kenji heavily over exerted himself, so he could have been in so much pain after that.

Kenji's village is known to be quite medieval in some ways, and it also leads me to worry about how exactly they treated Kenji when they found out about his ability. Sure he's super nice and kind but that could just be because he blames himself on everything that's happened and he doesn't want to take out his anger on others. Kenji's best friend that was buried in the flood could have been the only person who treated Kenji like an actual human being.

I know most of this could be wrong but that's what I've been thinking about lately and I don't like it.
