charlisinclair:
Maybe Charlie didn’t seem like the biggest or most typical fan of circuses, but truth be told, she was actually enjoying her night so far. Eating some fresh popcorn, there was something about the night air that gave her a good mood. “I never got why there are people who are afraid of clowns.” Charlie admitted, offering some of her snack to the person besides her, gaze focused in a particular clown heading to cheer some kids or to do whatever it was clowns did.
is it potentially embarrassing ? possibly so... but what are families for ? he’s been bopping along to the circus music here and there. his focus isn’t on the food but rather the millions of things his mind hasn’t decided to focus on yet. “i have no idea,” noah takes a handful of the offered popcorn and glances at something in the distance; not the clown but probably close enough. the popcorn rests. “john wayne gacy, probably.” maybe a little bit of pennywise the dancing clown as well but he’s fictional. fictional villains aren’t so scary to him. no, it’s the real ones that get him. he’s overcome with the realization that he’s never thought to try out his hand of being a professional clown. it’s easier to pretend evan won’t be totally pissed he stopped to chat with his niece. “wonder if he liked the circus too ?”

i still have to plot more family things but here’s a bit about noah, as short and sweet as i can right now:
noah is evan’s little brother. only by a few years but let’s be real, he’s baby.
evan tried to get their father’s love whereas noah did not. i mean, he didn’t try at all. no, he saw what a shitty dad he was and pretty much stayed in evan’s shadow. he was closer to their mom; however close you can be when someone’s a drunk.
noah was a kid who couldn’t sit still for long so when he was a teenager, he had a different hobby every week and looked for things to do outside of the house. basically he left early and came back late by the time he graduated high school.
cooking wasn’t what he wanted to do for a career but it was the only thing that forced him to stand still long enough to make sure it was perfect. he went to culinary school, worked for restaurants and such on and off before quitting permanently and working as a private/personal chef for the richie riches.
his parents inspired a sort of motto in him. other than evan and his kids, noah never truly allowed himself to get close to anyone. he doesn’t want to be like their father and even if he’s like his mother, he’ll never burden anyone else the same way. sure there’s been a friend or a hookup here and there but nothing has ever stuck more than a week or a few months. he made it a point never to bring those people around evan or the kids either because those friends? he most likely made them while he was drunk and other drunks together don’t make great decisions.
his secret? he’s an alcoholic -- just like his mother was. he doesn’t tell anyone, not even his brother, ESPECIALLY not his brother. no, he knows what alcohol can do to a person. especially to a person who is the one who hasn’t been drinking.
the second secret? he slept with his brother’s wife. evan’s youngest? it’s really noah’s child but not even noah actually knows that. TO BE PLOTTED OUT. it’s something he regrets, possibly the one thing he regrets the most in his life, and he’s done plenty of stupid things before.
he sees himself as the fun uncle who doesn’t snitch. he’ll give you fifty bucks even through some fake ass excuse if you need it/ask for it. sometimes he’ll just give it anyways because he can.
