And many times, that means that you have to escape bad behavior so as to limit the damage to yourself. They can't change their bad behaviour, but you can limit the effect it has on you, and sometimes it means backing away. Even leaving. It hurts to do so, but not as much as being exposed to abusive behaviour. They can either change their behavior as a result of being made aware of the consequences of that behavior, or it turns out your leaving was all they wanted in the first place. In their minds, the behavior is just a part of the plan. And they show this by how they conduct themselves in the aftermath. Innocenti. Et furcifer erit in victimam. The villian becomes the victim. . First physical meeting since moving into facilities in March. Didn't know how to feel, except happy that I was there. I felt reasonably good, usual pain, but thats it. Had a support worker take me, and also support from Vangelina and Cheyenne. Wouldnt be a meeting without me getting a snore in... Vangelina woke me before I could get in another. Sorry... But its quiet, I'm sitting in a wheelchair that makes me slide to a semi-reclining position... Sleep is going to ensue! Which is why I I was reluctant to go to the Hall in a push chair. It's almost time, y'all!! Gonna be a powerchair pilot again! Magic Mobility has the base done, and are now making the custom aspects of the chair. Like the seat, legrests, and actuators. Not enough purple for the base, but wait till I get my hands on it! Should be by January 10th or so. So grateful to have this dear sister, Loretta @retta_h_ take time from the convention happenings to come and visit me at the hospital. Her visit was so encouraging and let me know that Jehovah is still looking out for me despite the discouraging situation I'm in. . On an even more happy note, I may not be able to make it to all days of the con, but could make one! The Alfred psychiatric dept feels it a priority to get me to at least one day, so I should be leaving hospital tomorrow, and I plan on making it to Sunday! Jehovah truly is working miracles! . BTW... Just arrived to the Alfred Hospital. Not good. But it's par for the course, especially with my attendance at the International Convention at stake. But the pain, the swelling, the edema, the loss of strength, and the deafening high-pitched hiss indicates a new health related trial. I should die. But I am too ornery to leave. Ok. So, the past few months, I have slowly been learning to use the iPad Pro, and associated art programs like Procreate, Clip Studio Paint, and others. As well as some games. Ok... lots of games. The past week or so, I've actually knuckled down and did some drawing. I've had a lot of anxiety, and subsequent procrastination about who to do first. Well, I knew that the first person that I had to draw was my mom, being as she was generous enough to send me the iPad after the whole crowdfunding debacle. . So here it is. I agree with this. I also agree that SM has its fair amount of issues. I agree that people need more education to combat both predjudice, and paranoia. I also agree that it can be an incredible distraction. Like Life itself, social media is what you make it. For the disabled and shut-ins, it can be a way to have friends they couldn't have locally. To keep up with friends they already have in real life. I can attest to that. It's really kept the despair down. Yay!! Custom Compression Garments!! I have been working with Sarah at Flowgarments for a while now, and she made a pair for me a few years back to go over the big calf. Now the Schtumphy is here, I had been wanting to get a new set since lymphedema is still residual there, and since funding is now available thru the NDIS, I had the fitting done last week, and they came in the mail today! Feels great! The pins and needles are gone from the phantom foot, but I can still feel it, and move it. The right leg feels great! This should hold off the edema creeping into my right leg. ... But y'all KNOW I had to get em in PURPLE!! I saw that she had the purple fabric and got excited!!
