Half-way? Already?
The half way of the bootcamp journey has come to an end and I´m really proud of my teammates on their resistance, hard-work and projects that are delivered in just 4 weeks.
I remember the first day of the bootcamp which was a big questionmark to almost everyone and compare that day to today, I see a huge improvement and success.
Not only how capable of human brain but also how important to beliee in a project and dedicate yourself to this journey is a proof of my rightious decision I´ve ever given to join this camp.
I´m so excited for this week to show all my previous experience on to a new SaaS product that may one day become real.
Stay tuned!

Habit Tracking App
The 4th week at Ironhack is done.
This week has been the most difficult one in terms of motivation and focusing on my project due to overwhelming and constant mental activity.
I worked on an application that enables people to join community to get motivated to do exercise. The idea derived from interviews I had with different people.
When it is designing an application, user is centered in the project and every process is taken according to user´s needs and their problem therefore in the beginning I came up with a problem statament and the project has been shaped according to what people want to see.
Prototype has been changed several times after receiving feedback during the usability test.
This week was truly focused on user which will be the main subject in the professional life.
Let the 5th week start!

FLY HIGH FLY BYE
4th week at Ironhack´s been over . This week was a group project on creating a new travel app.
We´ve built an MVP product that is designed for digital nomads who love to travel.
Thinking every step from A-B is painful process as there are several elements to be thought such as: business plan, user engagement, design, design color, logo..
As this process is demanding and painful, it is also rewarding and satisfying when you see all the efforts have turned into a tangible product in the end.
I´m excited for the new week and ready to create an that WILL or MIGHT change most of people´s habits!
Stay tuned <3

IOS and Android Design Guideline
To create the best app design and flawless user experience, a designer needs to keep in mind that there are several differences between IOS and Android design.
Let´s have a look at them shortly together:
1) Google adopts Material Design, IOS adopts Human Interface Design
Material Design  is a design language developed by Google. This design system adopts several smart ways to create smart solutions on how to use the screen smartly. This system puts layers between software and design to hide or insert relavent contents, it optimizes user´s experience with 3D effects, realistic lightning and animation features.
Tumblr media
Human Interface Guideline ( HIG) is IOS design theme that is adopted by Apple means by which humans and computers communicate with each other.  To deliver a successful HIG, there are three primary themes differentiate iOS from other platforms:
1) Clarity
2) Deference
3) Depth
To boost  impact and reach, designers also need to adopt: Aesthetic Integrity, Consistency, Direct Manipulation, Feedback, Metaphors and User Control.
Tumblr media
Let´s have a look at some IOS and Android different approaches:
Differences on Navigation Pattern:
IOS settles the “back” icon on the right top of the page;
Tumblr media
Whereas for Android, the back icon is settled at the bottom of the navigation bar.
Tumblr media
Hamburger Button ( Doesn´t it sound soo tasty?)
This delicous name is used for hiding the menu items under three lines to save space for Android design.
Tumblr media
Whereas IOS uses Tab Bar to locate items, this bar actually comes from desktop design. It allows users to understand which page they are at and allows them to move from one page to other page just a single click. The only handicap for the Tab Bar is that it can only host 5 items; more than 5 items should not be insterted here as it is not ergonomic for people to touch small items.
Tumblr media
If you would like to dig more for;
Material Design have a look at Google Designer´video here;
For IOS Human Interface Guideline here.
Until next time ♡

Adding a new feature to an existing app!
Another tiring but exciting week at Ironhack´s been over.
On the 2nd week, I worked on the project “ adding a folder option to WhatsApp”.
Initially, I was confident and comfortable about my solution and was thinking I would finish the project in two days... I WAS WRONG.
When it comes to add a new feature to an existing app, there are several considerations to be considered such as the location, the UI pattern , user accessibility, user needs. It is also quite important not to break existing app´s current flow with the new feature as this might decrease user engagement.
It does not end here, when a designer finds possible solutions, the idea goes through a critiques session where the solution/ solutions are presented to peers, who are also potential users, designer collects several constructive feedback. According to feedback, solutions are re-considered and revised.
I could complete the project on its 4 days ( full 4 days) and  I´m proud of myself to be able to take further steps on my UX/UI Designer path.  I´m excited to learn and study on more projects on the upcoming days.
If you read up until here, sending you all my <3
Stay safe and healthy.

<title>THE FIRST WEEK IS ALREADY OVER </title>
The first week at Ironhack UX/UI design has been the most stressful week of my whole education life.
The week was about learning the basics of HTML and CSS and prepare a presentation with a  team mate.
Working on a project that I have not practiced at all before and a new class mate I´ve just met was challenging but overall it thought me a lot.
It is important for a product designer to know how the coding works which helps you to understand the developer side and know your limit when you desing the product.
I´m super excited to start 2nd week and work on a new project that will teach me new skills for my new career path.
If you read until here, sending you my love.
Until next time <3

Day #1 at Ironhack UX/UI Design Bootcamp
The day started at 08:45 and it is now 22:17 and I´m still here studying HTML CSS...
It is definetely not easy to follow and understand everything at once yet the teacher Nevan, teacher assists and classmates are super helpful. When I looked at the simplest HTML coding we did at the class, I cannot believe myself that we´ve done this in couple of minutes. How perfectly works the human brain!
The course is super intense but I´m really excited to see the outcome and all the projects that I will be doing in upcoming weeks.
Until next time ❤

Hi there!
It´s Arzum, a young Turkish girl living in Barcelona to seek its life goal and create a world she dreams of for years.
After having worked in sales area for more than 6 years, I´m ending my sales career and shifting towards UX/ UI design.  I´m super excited to be able to use my imagination and craativity using design techniques to contribute busines and people to succeed.
I do wonder how a sales manager can be a product designer. If you do wonder the same, follow me and see where we find this girl ends!
