Deleted the reblog for other reasons but. Jowling kowling rowling’s new book where the villain has ME, POTS, fibromyalgia, and Allodynia is going to be the first time a lot of able bodied people hear about these conditions. And it’s also going to be the first time that a lot of people who have these conditions see them in print. The harm that will do is immeasurable

PRIDE FANCAST, Part 2:
Going forth with this little series (in case you haven’t seen part 1, here), once again, thanks to @yourdailyqueer for helping me find these amazing LGBT+ artists.
Peche Di (Trans woman) as Sera aka The Hunter Queen (Trans woman):
Let’s be honest, there aren’t a lot of trans characters in comic books and many of them don’t get a lot of recognition, but Sera is actually quite popular (thankfully). Our little angel could be coming up since we are still exploring Asgard and she is married to a particularly important figure of that universe so, fingers crossed. In the comics, since she is an angel, I don’t recall Sera taking the form of an specific ethnicity (if I’m wrong, please tell me) so I took the freedom to cast the marvelous Peche Di who is Thai. Di is just amazing and although she is mostly known to be a model (and funding her OWN modeling agency for trans models), she is also a solid actress that I think would do very well here.
Rina Sawayama (pansexual) as Eiko Hasigawa, briefly known as Catwoman (sexuality not stated, but dated Selina Kyle):
I know some of you saw Catwoman and immediately thought of my dearest Selina (who is bisexual so could totally be here, maybe next year), but I wanted to mention this not so known character who took the title for a while. Eiko is an interesting character, I would want to see how she could fit in the DCEU and how she could be explored in future projects. Now, Sawayama is not an actress and I usually prefer to pick who already has some acting credits just so I could see a bit of their acting, but this could be her first role and she could nail it. It’s a bet, but is one that has been rewarding in other cases.
Chlöe Howl (the post says both bisexual and pansexual) as Aldrif Odinsdottir aka Angela (don’t recall being specified, but she is married to a woman):
Since I brought Sera, it was only fair I also brought her dear wife, Angela. Since Marvel went with Hella is Odin’s daughter, they could be weary to make Angela his daughter as well, but honestly, I would like that to stay. Angela could take over Hella’s domain (like she already has done in the comics with Sera by her side) and until then (and after) we could see her path intertwining with Jane Foster, Valkyrie and Thor. Howl is also not an actress, but then again, the bet could be worth it, she looks a lot like the character and there is something about her that just gives me Angela’s vibes (no, is not the red hair).
Again, photos and character do not belong to me, I just edited everything, all credit goes to their respective owners.
Part 3 coming up soon so carry on my rainbow fellas!

Something that really bothers me with fancasting, is that a lot of the time is full of disrespect towards the character heritage, especially when the character is latino. Per example with this recently announced casting of Red, White and Royal Blue movie adaptation, people where like "He does not look like Alex, here is my fancast of a character that I think, actually looks like Alex" and it is some actor that is not even Mexican and/or latino. I saw it a lot also with the casting of the Blue Bettle movie, people were fancasting Europeans, or the first latino they could think of, as Jaime Reyes. A character that always has been Mexican.
It is true, the Latin community sometimes can be seen as a whole, but it is conformed by a lot of countries - where each one of them has its own history, traditions, accents, behaviors...
The big Hollywood industries already do this of thinking that Latin nationalities are interchangeable, so don't fall into the same type of racism and if you're are going to play fancast, respect the heritage.

PRIDE FANCAST, Part 1:
HAPPY PRIDE Y’ALL, first things first, I wanted to do something last year for pride, but college got the best of me, so I decided that I would do it this year instead and nothing better than hyping up some beloved LGBTQ+ characters AND artists. Since this is pride month, this entire little fancast series, with an exception of my beloved Benjamin Pratt, has members of the LGBTQ+ community cast as these amazing characters and I have a big thanks to @yourdailyqueer for that so GO SUPPORT THEM!
Benjamin Bratt as Gregorio de la Vega, formerly known as Extranõ (DC’s first openly gay character):
Now, this is a complicated character, its first apparitions were just bad and heavily stereotyped, but DC seemed to notice their mistakes and revamped the character now giving this Peruvian warlock a better treatment. However, the character is still often missing from comics, it would be nice to see him in main storylines and get to know more about him, a way to get him in the spotlight could be through the DCEU (once it figures itself out). We have seen characters start or appear on tv shows and movies and then get major roles on the comics (hell, this was the beginning of our beloved Harley Quinn) so this could be a way for Gregorio and an actor I think would nail this is my dear Benjamin Pratt. Pratt, one of my dear childhood crushes, is a great actor and would do an amazing job, plus he is well-known which could help with bringing attention to the character.
Cody Fern (some places says he never choose a specific label, others says he identifies as gay) as Jean-Paul Beaubier aka Northstar (Marvel’s first openly gay character):
I absolutely HAD to start this with Gregorio and Northstar, but outside of the obvious point in common, the way these characters were worked has some differences. Northstar was actually given quite a role (although now he also hasn’t showed up much in the comics) and is very important for the mutant universe. Since the mutants are FINALLY coming to the MCU and Marvel is remembering that they have LGBTQ+ characters, this could be a great opportunity to bring Northstar into the picture. Fern is a phenomenal actor that looks a lot like the character, I know he would be great, but the only problem is that Jean is Canadian and has a French accent (if I'm remembering correctly) so Fern would have to work on the accent, but it wouldn't be the first time that happened.
Ben J. Pierce/Miss Benny (gay) as Timothy “Tim” Jackson Drake aka Red Robin, formerly known as Robin (bisexual):
MY BELOVED TIM DRAKE, one of my favorite Robins and one of the ones that deserves a lot more recognition (and main storylines). Tim is very dear to me and when I found out that he is confirmed to be bisexual I was so happy that I had to include him here. Again, DC needs to get itself together, but who knows, maybe it will happen soon and then we can have all Robins being portrayed in a live-action (I know someone might think of Titans since they already have what, 3 robins? But not only they didn't cast a romani actor for Dick Grayson, but, from what I saw on the internet, they seem to have rushed Jason Todd's story). When that happens, I think Miss Benny would be a good choice for the role. They already have quite a few acting credits and some solid talent so I think they could do a good job here, plus you could bring some of their songs into the soundtrack, it’s a win-win.
Usually, I like to post separated image files and then put them side by side, but there is a bit of a bug going on so I had to go with the single file option (tho, tumblr support did send me an email letting me know that they are looking into it, so, hopefully, it will be figured out soon). Anyways, all photos and characters do not belong to me, I merely edited them, all credit goes to their respective owners! I have two more parts of this little series set to post, but until then: carry on my rainbow fellas.

Inhabitants of 300 Fox Way, Part 4:
The end at last (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3), here is our two darlings who where trapped for too long:
Millie Brady as Gwenllian ap Glyn Dŵr:
I wanted to find a Welsh actress, but again, finding someone that fitted the character here was difficult. Gwenllian, despite her madness, is described as looking young and having a "regal beauty", being also quite tall. I found Millie by chance on tumblr and immediately thought of our cracked mirror, she looks a lot to what I pictured, also being somewhat tall (Gwenllian’s height is not clearly stated, but I remember something about it being close to Jessie’s so, very tall, which wouldn’t be Millie’s case, but there are camera tricks for that). The only question here is to whether she can or not portray all the madness within Gwenllian, I didn’t find any similar role in her previous ones, but she seems to be a solid actress and this could be an opportunity for her to try something completely new.
Ioan Gruffudd as Artemus:
This was by far the easiest fancast I have ever made because from the moment I read about Artemus I thought about Ioan. It just fitted perfectly, he matches the description, he's Welsh and he is a great actor. Although I do wanna add that I wish we could get more from him, perhaps in flashbacks? I wanna see who he was before everything collapsed, maybe see more of his relathionship with Maura, Gwenllian and even Glendower.
Again, gifs and edits were made by me (and I'm still overjoyed by it), but the original videos and images belong to their respective owners and if you want to use these just credit me!

Inhabitants of 300 Fox Way, Part 3:
And to start the end of this little series of posts here are the first two temporary/new members of one of the best houses in Henrietta, at first I was going to post all four of them, but it got too long so there is a Part 4 coming up in two seconds. You can find Part 1 and 2 here and here, respectivelly, now here are our two darlings brought to Henrietta to find someone (althought one of them didn't know that and the other had different intentions):
Matthias Schoenaerts as Mr. Gray/Dean Allen:
I struggled so much to cast Mr. Gray, is not even a joke. My man is barely impossible to cast or maybe I just have a very specific image of him, either way, it took a while. I don't even remember how Schoenaerts came up in my radar, but as soon as I laid my eyes on him I thought I had finally found my favorite hitman. I saw someone mentioning that he had really expressive eyes and besides agreeing with that, I know this is something that would make a difference when it comes to the portrayal of this character. Mr. Gray can look calm and sometimes even emotionless, but in a general way he is threatening and I think Schoenaerts would nail this.
Danielle Brooks as Neeve Mullen:
Neeve is not a recurring presence, showing up here and there, but she has a lot of importance. She is this elegant woman who could exhale calmness in one moment only to turn cold and dangerous in the other. Brooks first came to mind because of physical resemblance, but her acting is really what defined this fancast. Not only would she do an amazing job with all the sides of Neeve that we already know, but could go further into bits that weren't much explored.
Once again I made these gifs and edits and I'm very proud of them. Original videos and photos, however, do not belong to me and all credit goes to their respective owners. If you would like to use one of these gifs, just please credit me.

Inhabitants of 300 Fox Way, Part 2:
Moving forward with this little series, here is Part 2, Part 3 coming soon (you can find Part 1 here):
Lovie Simone as Blue Sargent:
Like I expected, finding someone for Blue was extremely difficult, actually, casting anyone in the Gangsey has been proving to be quite a nightmare. When it came to my favorite non-psychic tho, I was stuck with a few actresses that for some reason or other I just couldn't pick for good. Obviously, Simone came out victorious here and that happened for a couple of reasons: First, she is close to Blue's age, her appearence not only matches with what I imagined Blue to look like, but also seems like a great mix of my Maura and my Artemus fancast (jackpot!) and lastly, but not less important, from what I could see she has some mad talent, even showing up in Greenleaf, you know, Oprah's series, no big deal.
Retta as Jimi Sargent:
I know Retta is mostly known for comedy roles, but just watch Good Girls and you will see the amazing range this woman has. Like, seriously, she easily became one of my favorites on that show (tho I haven't finished yet). I picked her because like with Jimi there is something about her that is welcoming, safe and you can just tell that she would do a good job. However, Jimi is another character I wanna know more about, all we know is that she is gentle, the little teaser of the story about her puching Calla was the only indication that there was more to her and I really want to know that side.
Savannah Lee Smith as Orla Sargent:
Once again we have someone we don't know much about and I would like to see more of Orla outside of her flirty side, maybe explore her relationship with the other women from the house, her psychic gifts and so on. I haven't watched the new Gossip Girl (didn't even watch the original to be honest) but Savannah seems to be a solid actress, the closest one that I could find for the image I had from Orla and I believe she could do a good job here.
Once again I'm happy to announce that I MADE THESE GIFS AND IMAGES, never gonna get tired of saying that and if you wanna use any of them just credit me. Original images and videos do not belong to me, all credit goes to their respective owners!

Inhabitants of 300 Fox Way, Part 1:
As I prepare myself emotionally to read "Mister Impossible", plus Maggie annunciating on twitter she is officially done with book three and is saying goodbye to this world (don't mind me, just crying in a corner), I decided to finally do a little fancast for this series that I love so much and that at the same time gives me such a headache whenever I try to do a fancast for it. Part 2 and 3 should be coming soon:
Pihla Viitala as Persephone Poldma:
I first saw Viitala in “Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters” where she played a good witch, even then tho, there was something odd about her that I can’t name, but is the same feeling that I get from Persephone. They stand out, like there is something ethereal about them so put that and the fact that Pihla is a good actress and I found my favorite odd witch.
Sara Martins as Maura Sargent:
Whenever I do a fancast, I usually go back and forth for a while on whom to pick and that usually lasts for a while, oddly tho, this wasn't the case. When I started to look for someone for Maura, Sara was the only one that really got my attention (not that any other actress isn't good, it's just that there is always something missing for me). Martins is a solid actress (seriously, check her IMDB page, she has quite a resume), but now I just can't picture anyone else, she is my Maura Sargent and I'm gonna die on this hill.
Rutina Wesley as Calla Lily Johnson:
One of my favorite actresses for one of my favorite characters. Wesley is a great actress that I believe could bring a lot of depth to Calla, tho, more than anything, I just hope that if we do get an adaptation we get to know more about her. We know she is fighter and deserves every break she can get (working at Aglioby and being a psychic in Henrietta for sure has earned her 2 lifelong vacations), but there is definetly more to her that we don't know about and whatever it is, I know Wesley can pull it off.
Now, I'm gonna have my sweet moment here and say I MADE THESE GIFS AND EDITS. I'm super proud tho obviously there is still room for improvement and if anyone wants to use them go for it, just credit me, original videos and photos are not mine and all credit goes to the respective owners. Also, just to let it clear, in Pihla Viitala's gif there is a watermark, it comes from the video on youtube that I got and in case anyone wants to read it is "deadwind.karppi", I had to rotate the gif because hers was the only one facing the opposite direction (tho, now that I think of it, I should have left her facing the opposite direction, if you know, you know).

It makes me happy to know that the Netflix’s show Cidade Invisível (Invisible City) is on the Netflix’s top 10 most watch shows in at least 35 countries. To know people from all over the world are getting to know our folklore makes me excited because although Netflix has incredible original Brazilian shows (3%, Samantha!, Bom dia, Verônica, Coisa Mais Linda and so on), an original Brazilian show didn’t have that kind of international reach.
So please, watch the show and if you enjoy it, recommend it to people you know will like it as well!

Some of my favorite women from the X-Men:
Edit: I’m adding my thoughts here because why not.
Yetide Badaki as Ororo Munroe/Storm
If you have seen “American Gods”, you probably know why I choose her. In this show she is Bilquis, the woman who is not just a goddess but also a queen, sounds familiar? Yetide has a remarkable range when it comes to emotions, which makes me believe she would be able to portray every single side of Ororo’s character and, a beautiful plus, she has expressed that she would like to be Storm.
Brianne Tju as Jubilation Lee/Jubilee
Brianne is a Chinese/Indonesian actress that I admit I haven’t seen much of, which led me to do some extra searching. Jubilee is known to be this energetic character, but there is so much more to her that wasn’t even touched in the movie, meanwhile, Brianne is a solid actress that (from what I have seen) hasn’t portrayed a character like her, so this would be an amazing opportunity for her as well.
Medalion Rahimi as Anna Marie Darkholme-LeBeau/Rogue
Rogue is one of my favorite characters in the Marvel Universe and she was one of the characters who was done horribly by the X-Men movies (Like everyone else that wasn’t Charles Xavier, Magneto, Wolverine or Jean Grey). Note: Not blaming the actors, just writers, producers and directors. I spend a long time searching for someone to play her, I saw some favorites like Lyndsy Fonseca and Ashley Greene but even tho they looked like her and could pull it off, there was something missing for me. I found Medalion thanks to a Jasmine fancast and now that I’ve seen her acting, I have total faith that she could portray the badass, the kindness and the emotional turmoil within Rogue. Plus, just going on looks, she reminds me of one of the firsts versions of Rogue.
Maude Apatow as Katherine Anne “Kitty” Pryde/Shadowcat
I’ve only seen her in Euphoria, but her character’s personality reminds me of Kitty. With that said, this character hasn’t had much screen time, but she just captivates you and makes you wanna know more about her and it’s impossible not to give credit to Maude for that.
So, this is the first time I do something in this style and, honestly, I'm pretty happy with the result. None of the gifs were made by me, all credit goes to their respective owners!
