What is Valor? Valor is a comic anthology project composed of adapted, re-imagined, or invented fairy tales showcasing the talent of numerous creators. The anthology is aimed at all-age readers, and is LGBTQA+ friendly.

The purpose of the stories is to pay homage to the strength, resourcefulness, and cunning of female heroines in fairy tales. Like the first volume of Valor, the anthology is in full color. It will have approximately 200 pages of content with 19 comics, four prose stories, and 10 illustrations.

I recently had the very fun experience of designing some risograph prints for myself/conventions, and I’m super happy with how they came out. I love that fluorescent pink ink so much! There’s no way that’ll scan well, so enjoy some photos instead.

I’ll have these at the MICE comics expo in Cambridge, MA this weekend; stop by if you have some time! It’ll be a great show, and it has free attendance. I hope to see some of you there!

Hey, check out this super cool comics anthology I’ll be in! It’s got the best theme in the world, and is currently accepting pitch submissions from non-binary creators. Definitely check it out/submit a pitch; it’s gonna be great!

The first ever all non-binary comics anthology, HEARTWOOD: Non-binary Tales of Sylvan Fantasy, is open for submissions through November 13th! Meanwhile, we’ll be unveiling the pre-selected contributors already confirmed for the anthology.
