hey ken do you have any story with daisuke dragging you along with him in some plan to win hikaris heart or something like it ?

Ken: He tried to, but I escap- I mean, had urgent matters crop up each time, so I haven’t participated in any of his plans so far. I don’t plan on participating ever though. 

This may sound really obvious and redundant, but this ask is dedicated to all my followers here. There always seem to be other commitments in life for me, such as school, friends, personal projects etc; but whenever I come into this account, albeit once in a blue moon; I almost always find myself with new asks, new followers, new notes etc. Thank you for staying with me, inactive as I am here. It is because of you all that I am still here. Because how can I forsake this blog when you all haven’t? It is you followers who give me the motivation to work on new asks, thank you :)

p.s. the person tap dancing on the right is supposed to be taichi; but he was said to change his spiky hairstyle (implying it’s not spiky anymore) so I left it blank so as not to ruin imaginations. Also yes, for those who are not familiar with the drama cd, these nerds were tap dancing and yamato actually shouted “Sora, Ashiteru yo~” (Sora, I love you), while doing that. And Sora actually didn’t take it all that well (she was like “why tap dance!?” and “What the heck is yamato doing while we’re being held hostage here”)

Hey Koushirou, you and Mimi would make an adorable couple!

Mimi: もうー！！This is just like how you ignored me that time in the digital w— How many bottles of Wu Long Cha is that…?! You’re gonna have diarrhea if you drink that much!! 

Koushirou: No worries, I’ve cut down my intake to 3 bottles per day.

(btw, interpret this as you will; in a shippy way, non-shippy way, it’s all fine by me. I feel that this answer could be taken either way. /shrug)

And that was when Mimi decided she couldn’t take Koushirou’s dietary habits and proceeded to become a nutritionist.

I’m half joking here with this picture but that’s actually how my headcanon for Mimi’s ambition goes; because I’m a Koumi shipper too haha. That she became a nutritionist so that she can make sure Koushirou doesn’t eat and drink cup noodles and wu long cha all day. I perceive him as the type to forget to eat, or eat crappy stuff, especially when engrossed in his research; prioritizing it over his health, so it kinda synced well together in pairing kind of way that Mimi would suddenly “switch career paths” to become a nutritionist.

And I feel that it really fits; because she could have been anything else, like a model, a stewardess, having some fancy job at some fancy place— but she became a nutritionist. Surely there is a reason for that big change. And so that’s my reasoning for it. I’ve been wanting to draw a comic regarding that for years, but I’ve never worked up enough motivation to do so— I guess I’ll be taking this chance to express that idea, haha.

Have you ever thought that maybe Miyako suited the crest of knowledge better, and the crest of love fits better with Iori?

Second, wow, really, it’s been a while… /creeps away guiltily/ I don’t have an excuse for why I’ve neglected this blog, and I’m not about to make one either. So, I’m just going to apologize, sorry for not updating in so long, and thank you for still staying with this blog after all this time. I promised on twitter that I’ll see if I can update this ask blog since I’m on break currently (well, I have a grammar camp on my hands right now but let’s not talk about it on this blog…), so, under the influence of caffeine and sufficient motivation, I whipped out this age old wip I have (from last year april), and decided to finish it. It was almost completed even then, but I was too lazy to draw Manbomon that I stopped, and proceeded to never touch the wip file until today. All I did was to compile, write the text and draw the last panel today, so most of the credit still goes to the me from a year back, haha.

Sometimes I feel that Manbomon is Toei’s idea of trolling Takari fans. I think, if told to imagine “how would Patamon look like if he armour evolved using the digimental of light?” without any knowledge of the drama cd, a digimon like manbomon would probably be the furthest from what one would imagine. Yet, that was the form patamon took when he evolved using the digimental of light. I don’t bear any hate for Manbomon though, but I am indeed, very confused regarding their choice.

Sorry for the disappearance.

But sadly, not really. Unfortunately, this ask-blog would not be as active as it was in the past, considering my schedule, but better something than nothing right? Being busy was always one of my key concerns, even before creating this ask blog; I was worried that my busy schedule would not allow me to commit, even if I made one. Therefore it was a great mental hurdle to overcome when I did so, though I was right about the commitment part, especially after disappearing right after I got busy with internship then.

Now, internship is long over. A long holiday went by in which I chose to use in making up for lost time when I was being busy with studies; playing, socializing and preparing for university all that. I had time then, but my heart wasn't on the blog.

Currently I'm as busy as ever, being in university and all; I'm aiming to become a primary school teacher- but for some reason as primary teachers we still have to major in a university level subject we will not teach <o>_<o>;;, in which case I chose Biology. Not denying that it's interesting, but definitely takes up a lot of time and effort, so I didn't have much time to draw at all, aside from doodles. To be honest, next week is this semester's final exam, and I have chosen a totally inappropriate time to revive this blog. Like mentioned earlier, this blog will not be as active as it was initially, and I have taken a friend's advice to try and update it maybe weekly, with no guarantees for a long answer. I'll try to make it interesting though, so keep the asks coming:)

Another thing to note is that from now on I will be selective about answering questions. Because I try to answer everything that comes my way previously, taking it upon myself to make the answers interesting no matter if the ask is already interesting or ordinary. But that takes more time and effort, so I won't be doing that anymore. So whether your asks get answered now depends on whether it catches my eye, so I'm sorry if it doesn't get chosen alright?

It's also pretty obvious by now, but looks like the events are not going to continue. Instead, you guys have free reign to ask whoever you want, as long as they are within the adventure 02 universe (and Masaru, feel free to ask about Masaru too; sorry to say but I have became a Masaru fangirl over the course of this hiatus... Oh wait I'm not sorry.), whether it gets answered or not is another issue of course, so do your best to think of good questions alright?

But seriously though, I'm amazed how I hardly lost followers at all in these months. I thought most would have unfollowed this blog by now, but it was still at 230+ when I came by today, and it's now at 240+ after that new post. Thank you so much for staying with me, I really appreciate it:) Thank you for having faith that I will come back or simply forgetting to click the unfollow button; Hah too late I'm back so you can't unfollow me--/killed.

And sorry for the sappy speech I have been writing a lot of formal essays lately and am having trouble speaking/typing internet.

You know, there’s nothing much I can do to keep my digimon stuff innocent when the original series is… not.

I mean, look at Daisuke’s expression, look at Takeru’s expression, look at Hikari’s position.

I’m pretty sure most of you here are old enough to get what I meanXD (or that I’m just dirty minded.) and nope, being an animation student; we go by a rule that “everything is intentional in animation” (unless it’s a drawing fail), so that’s definitely no accidentXD

(ooc: I wasn't able to make a thanks picture in time when I reached 200 followers, but here's a belated one anyway~ Hello 21 new followers I've gained since yesterday!>w< This is getting old but hey I really am happy when I know people like my blog, so thank you all once again!

tbh I never expected a digimon ask blog like mine to reach this number, because ya know 02 wasn't that much of a hot favorite season, and plus the digimon fanbase nowadays is rather small in comparison to the others. I'm glad that I now have 221 people to spread the digimon virus love to, and hopefully one day I'll have 300, then 1000, then 2000, just a lot a lot of digimon fans to spread all the digimon love far and wide.

And fanarts, people, draw fanarts! Spread more 02, or digimon in general, love! Write fanfiction, explode the fanbase, let people on the outside wonder why the heck is the digimon fanbase suddenly exploding. Get them curious, get them interested, get them into digimon, get them into the fandom, rinse repeat and we'll multiply! Don't tell yourself you can't draw, don't tell yourself someone else will do it, just try! The first steps might be hard, might make you feel inferior, might make you feel like giving up, but you won't reach anywhere if you don't try and overcome that. This might sound very preachy, or you might think "it's not that easy, you can draw so you don't know how I feel." Here are some drawings I did when I was 15:

Yes that's right, 15. If I stopped there, I wouldn't be where I am now. I understand how some of you feel. I've been there, felt the same thing, and stepped forward. I really hope this blog is an inspiration for you guys to create more, rather than be a blog that causes inferiority complexes and makes people feel like putting down their pencil. I don't know if it's due to my contribution or not that I've been seeing people drawing lesser and lesser in the fandom, and I've been seeing messages now and then about how they are jealous or feeling inferior. I'm not saying not to feel that, but I'm hoping you can grit through those feelings and view this blog in a motivational manner, rather than demotivational. Please, create(:

And last thing before I end this thank you post turned tl'dr; a simple drawing advice I can give, which works very well for my case, and the reason for my drastic improvement in the last 5 years(because I'll be turning 20 in 2 months+ timeTT^TT); study anatomy. personally I'm a logic based artist, so knowing about anatomy really helped. Studying realistic proportions and such gave me good foundations that really upped my drawing skills. I guess a lot of people would be like, ew muscles, no I only wanna draw anime, I don't wanna draw muscly people bleargh etc. But all styles, even anime, comes from real life. You need to know the rules before breaking the rules, and that's the difference between having a style and making drawing mistakes. Here's a figure drawing website I visit frequently and found useful:

At first you might not be able finish drawing a single figure in 30 seconds, but focus on the big picture rather than the details, and practice frequently with at least 10 poses each time you try. Do it consistently, and I assure you that you will see some results within a month of trying it, if not immediately (I go there every time I face a drawing slump, and it helps a lot). (You would eventually realize that you can draw self thought poses more easily, though you might have to experiment a little with the proportions in your own drawings. Because some people might have problems switching between realistic proportions and anime proportions initially.)
