“We’re just catching up on things! I missed being with her and everyone, ya know? It’s good to be back home.”

“I missed one hell of a party.”

[Scout jokes a little before listening to her girlfriend about what she missed.]

“Loba... say, what’s her last name?”

[The ginger rose a brow before taking a sip of her coffee.]

“Um, hi...?” After vanishing for lord knows how long, Scout was standing in the doorway in a nice outfit and flowers in hand, looking very apologetic. “I... I want to say I’m sorry, for suddenly dropping off the face of the planet with no note or anything. Things came up and just...” Her shoulders slumped before she held up the flowers. “I really missed you, Bangs. If you just want to be friends, I’m fine with that. {Anita had answered the door, and she damn near dropped her drink when she saw her lover standing there. It had been... weeks? Months? None of that matters now. She reaches out and grabs Scout, pulling her close, into a tight hug.}

{Her voice almost breaks. Almost.} I missed you.

[Once inside the room with some privacy, Scout explained everything over some coffee. With the help of a certain hacker and influencer, she found valuable information regarding her uncle’s whereabouts and her father’s Titan. Without hesitation, she left the games to see where the trail led up to.]

[With some success, Scout found the old machine and managed to take it back with her in a garage large enough to house it. It was shut off, and needed repairs, which wouldn’t be an issue. Her uncle... the man was nowhere to be found, just another dead end with a cold scent.]

“I know I’ll find him, he’s somewhere out there waiting for a signal or something. My uncle isn’t the kind of man to go down easily.”
