“..Do you mean the bull? He’s doing fine, I think. I’d ask him, but he doesn’t seem like the chatty type.”

“If, for some reason, you meant Antonio; he’s doing fine as well. Though, don’t let him hear you calling him ‘tiny’, he might bite your ankles.” It’s obvious there’s no weight to her words, as she follows up with a soft laugh.

Wishers

Wishers are normal people, just like you. Maybe you ARE a Wisher! These people have been living their lives, fairly normally. But, for reasons all their own, each one of them felt lost, hopeless, down on their luck in some way. Maybe, they’ve hit rock bottom with no light at the end of the tunnel. 

Whatever their reason, each person made a Wish. Whether they realized it or not, their heart had a desire for someone to help them. Someone to love them. Someone to be by their side. Now, this does not have to be in a romantic sense. Sure, some may have Wished for a lover. However, maybe an orphaned child wished for a parent. A student Wished for a best friend. So on and so forth. Whatever kind of connection their Wish may be, it was strong enough to be answered.

Destinians

Destinians are, in short, the people that the Wishers Wished for. They are the answers, and although they have no idea who Wished for them, they know that they are on The Island to find their Wisher. 

… But that is not all there is to the Destinians. For they have Wishes, too.

The Destinians were… once normal people, just like you. Maybe you ARE a Destinian! My condolences. You see, the Destinians all have the same Wish: To have a second chance at life. They may or may not have realized they made this Wish, but it was a strong enough desire at the time of their death to be answered. However, their second chance came with a price. If you ask a Destinian about their childhood, or their life before The Island, you’ll be met with blank stares, looks of confusion or embarrassment, etc etc.. Because unfortunately, none of the Destinians remember their previous life. Or maybe… it’s just unable to be accessed at the moment. Perhaps something could jog those memories.

You read that right! I’m pleased to announce there’s an official map for Fantasy AU now! The above image is hard to read, especially with all the tiny cities and villages, so you can see a clearer image here! (Plus you can zoom in and get all those sweet, sweet details, like my hyper-realistic trees!)

Note: The map does not feature ALL of the cities, towns and villages of this AU! It features those that are notable in some way, and changes will be made if necessary! Feel free to add in your own settlements in your lore, as this is just to pinpoint important locations within the world!

CRACKS MY KNUCKLES

Hey guys! Kaz here, I’m just hopping on here to give you guys some updates/other stuff since it’s been a while! (Not really but shhh)

Firstly, the main reason I’m on here is to announce that I’ll be restarting Mathilde’s blog! There’s no real big reason for this, I’m just not happy with the aimless wandering my blog was doing before (which is entirely my fault LMAO), and I’d like to actually portray her in a way that I enjoy!

Not much will change, and I’ll be leaving the previous posts up for archive, but every original post before this point is no longer canon to this blog! Within the next week or so I’ll have a new intro post and altered design for you guys! So look out for that!

Secondly, this is more of a general AU update: The AU is getting a bit of a makeover! Again, like this blog, nothing will really be changed, but I’m currently almost done with a map of the nations and their capitals/major cities/terrain/etc., and I’ll be posting updated information about each nation + maybe adding a few more in the future! 👀

Introduction

Hello! Welcome to the official hub blog for the Hetalia Fantasy AU Group! The two admins for this blog, and for this AU, are myself (Kaz) and Cherry. We’ve been working real hard to provide an AU that we hope you’ll enjoy!

Before I ramble too much, though, I’m sure you’re wondering what this AU is all about.

The Hetalia Fantasy AU is an askblog-based group run by Cherry (oneneetartist) and Kaz (kazooodles). The AU takes place in a fantasy world, where your favourite countries are instead human beings, taking the positions of townsfolk, noblemen, royalty, and the like.

There are five kingdoms and empires in this world, loosely based on real-world locations, all with their own rich cultures and histories; The Empire of Chrysanthemum, based on China and Japan; The Empire of Buttercup, based on the United States; The Kingdom of Marigold, based on Spain; The Kingdom of Bluebell, based on Scandinavia and Russia; and The Kingdom of Iris, very loosely based on France.

Now onto the lore; The full lore, written by the lovely Admin Cherry, can be found on the AU Information page. This is just a quick summary.

In the beginning, there were no kingdoms or empires, only scattered villages. These villages were peaceful, and while there would be the occasional scuffle between them, nothing ever escalated. At least.. not until the Witch arrived.

The Witch - A name that still strikes fear into the hearts of many. The Witch was a being of pure evil, whose magic sucked the life out of the very ground she stood on. She used this cursed ability of hers to bring devastation to the land around her, to take the lives of many innocent people, and it was only because of four brave souls that she was defeated and sealed away.

Yet, even though the battle had been won, the war had been lost. A few souls remained to pick up the pieces of their homes, their lives, but the damage had been done; The earth was dying with every passing moment. No plants could be grown, and animals wouldn’t stay where there was no food. Even magic was nearly wiped off the face of the earth.

The four victors of the battle decided to split apart in search of better land to start over with, and for years, there was no sign of progress.. until one day, one of these survivors found a sprout struggling to peak through the ground. This was a great sign - it was a sign the earth was healing, and therefore plants could grow again. In honour of this discovery, and the similar discoveries found over the next few months, kingdoms and empires were settled and given the name of the plants that first grew there.

This is just a taste of what the AU is about! What's up with the swords?

“I didn’t know it until the ceremony, but he had read up about Bluebell’s wedding traditions, to try and make me feel ‘more at home’. It didn’t work, but the sword is a lovely gift nonetheless.”

“And, in case you’re wondering, he only gave me the one sword. I had a second made in its image, because two swords is far more bad-ass than just one.”
