this took me a couple days of mostly just cycling through templates i liked, and a couple hours yesterday of just . typing all of the shit out and figuring the colors out!! take a look if you can, i'm very very proud of how it turned out! let me know what you think :3

Hey there! They've been good, thank you for asking!

Things have been pretty quiet on the farm, so we've just been spending time together as a family and having some bonding time. It's been very nice. Dante has been making really good progress while Elliott teaches her how to read, and Roan is still making progress on her speech.

this stressed me OUUUTT while i was working on it LMAO.. was planning to do something a lot more rendered but decided against it because i just wanted it done and i've never properly rendered anything,,,,,,,,,, that is a venture for a project that is Not a comic. for now you get my rendition of elliott's 10-heart event with harp Specifically. ft. dialogue from that one scene in pride and prejudice that reminds us all of elliott you know the one. these old gay men are my pride and joy. dont let this flop it took me three days LMAO !!!

Hey there! I'm doing good, how about yourself?

Singing? Well, uh... I sometimes do it in passing, and Elliott has told me that my voice is nice. But he is my husband, so I think he's just very biased. My mama sings pretty regularly, though, and trust me when I say she has the voice of an angel. Elliott has said I got that from her.

I'd never be able to go professional, though, haha! I'm much more suited for farming.

stardewtober day 13: meadow

ok so i haven't much stardew art over the past few days, including all my stardewtober stuff, but i did write this little thing yesterday! the prompt for day 13 reminded me of a prompt my sister gave me a while back with harp and elliott. enjoyyy :3

Elliott had been leading Harp somewhere for quite some time now- he had instructed him to sit on the back of their horse, Florence, close his eyes, and that he wasn’t to open them until Elliott said so.

“We there yet?” Harp said for the n-th time since they started their horseback ride.

“Harp, I swear if you ask me that one more time- no. No we aren’t. I’ll tell you when we are.” Elliott couldn’t keep the sound of a smile out of his voice, gently chuckling as Harp leaned forward and groaned into his shoulder.

Harp let a few moments of silence pass before offering another teasing “How about now?”

“Harp!” Elliott warned with another little laugh. “We’re almost there.” He assured.

After a little while longer, Elliott gave Florence’s reins and little tug, causing her to stop. “You did wonderfully, dear.” He praised, slowly climbing off of the horse. “Alright.” Elliott took Harp’s hand, helping him off of the horse.

Harp followed Elliott’s lead, being cautious to not lose his footing as his husband led him a little ways away from their horse. “Am I allowed to open my eyes now?” The farmer asked once they stopped.

Elliott chuckled. “Yes.” He said, watching Harp’s expression closely as he opened his eyes one at a time.

It was a beautiful stretch of meadow. The two were standing atop a hill, surrounded by wildflowers and a giant tree behind them. There was a blanket underneath the tree, which Harp assumed Elliott had put there.

The farmer was speechless. He just stood there while Elliott was beside him, awaiting a response. Harp could feel his husband's nervousness as he started to toy with the hem of his shirt.

“...So?” Elliott asked.

A smile found its way onto Harp's lips and he turned his head to look down at Elliott, immediately pulling him into a kiss.

“This is beautiful.” Harp said once he pulled away, gently holding the other man's waist. “What's it for, though?”

Elliott looked away and laughed a little. “I..” He looked at the blanket under the tree. “Actually, let's sit down for a moment.” He pulled Harp along, sitting down and bringing him down with him.

The farmer felt his own curiosity eating at him as Elliott leaned against his side.

“Harp, I..” Elliott began, pulling away and facing his husband. “I have something very, very important to talk to you about.” He said, meeting Harp's worried eyes and holding both of his hands.

“Anything you want.” Harp's brows were furrowed as he looked down at Elliott and gave his hands a reassuring squeeze.

“I've been thinking, as of recent. About us. And our lives here.” The writer started to explain, swallowing as he gathered himself. “I do plan on spending the rest of my life with you, and I hope you plan to do the same with me. The day of our wedding was the best day of my life, and I plan on having many, many more with you.”

Harp was watching Elliott closely as he spoke, rubbing the back of his hands.

“We have discussed this before, but only in passing.” Elliott laughed a little, tucking a piece of his hair behind his ear. “I don't believe our lives are quite fulfilled yet, my love. I’m as happy as I've ever been just living with you, trust me when I say that, but..” He paused, averting his gaze from Harp's. “It's not a but, per se, I-” He stammered and sighed in frustration. “I had this entire speech planned out in my head, too.” He laughed to himself.

Harp smiled, taking Elliott's chin between his fingers and turning his head to face him again. “Breathe. Take your time, baby.” He assured, kissing Elliott. “I'll be here.”

The writer smiled at Harp. “I think I just fell in love with you again.” He laughed, clearing his throat as he gathered himself again. “Harp, I..” He made eye contact with the farmer. “I think you would be a wonderful father.”

Harp took a moment to realize what Elliott was saying, but once he did, his expression turned shocked, then excited.

“I would love to fulfill our dream of becoming parents. Together.” Elliott said. “If you would like to, of course.”

Harp laughed, a smile spreading onto his face. “Elliott, I-” He felt himself losing his words, reaching a hand up to run over his hair. “I don't know what to say.” He chuckled. “I've never been more in love with someone. I would love to.” He laughed exasperatedly.

“Really?” Elliott let out a breath he didn't know he was holding, breathily laughing. “I was so nervous, oh my god! I thought you were going to say no!”

“Why would I say no?” Harp asked, almost offended.

“I don't know! I was nervous!” Elliott said through his smile “Oh, my, I'm so relieved!”

The farmer pulled Elliott into a kiss, wrapping his arms around him and squeezing him tight. The two breathlessly laughed into eachother's lips as Elliott barreled Harp down onto his back, laying on top of him and staring down at him lovingly.

“You're going to be an amazing father, my love.” Elliott smiled

I usually have my mama come over to do them every two months or so. She's done 'em for me since I was a teen, and while I do know how to do them myself (I do Dante's every little while), it's become a part of our routine. She used to do my dad's, but since he's passed she's opted to do mine. I like spending the time with her and catching up.

That's so sweet how you took Santi into your home! The circumstances surrounding it are deeply unfortunate, but she's very lucky to have found you and your momma.

And now, a question that's been burning in the back of my mind: how did you meet your hubby Elliott? Was it love at first sight or did it take a while to become love? 💞

Yeah. I'm glad I met Santi- I can't even imagine where or how she would be if we hadn't met, the person she would be if we hadn't taken her in. The person I would be.

Ooh, I like this one. We met after I moved to Pelican Town, of course, but we had our first proper interaction at the Egg Festival of my first year. The first week had been pretty busy for Santi and I while we figured out our whole plan and how everything worked in town, so we didn't have much time for socializing. He introduced himself, we talked a bit, nothing too special. A bit after that, he introduced me to Leah and starting roping me into their plans. Saloon visits, just sitting on the beach and talking, sitting on Leah's couch and having complex discussions of art that I never fully understood- I didn't complain, of course, because it was nice to have someone (someone my age, at that) who was so quick to accept me into the community and treat me like one of their own. In terms of being in love, it took me a little bit to warm up to him and realize that I was attracted to him, (that's just the way I am, I've never been great at social interaction) but he says that he knew I was 'the one' from just our first interaction. I think he's exaggerating, but I honestly don't doubt it. I'm just glad that things have come to this point- I'm the happiest I've ever been, living in the town that I'm sure that I'll spend the rest of my days in.
