“Hello.
I considered contacts once recently, but I’m not especially keen about touching my own eyes, as well as the fact that I rather enjoy my spectacles. Perhaps if I’d had experiences as a child where I was taunted because of them, I would feel otherwise, but I quite like the look of the frames on my face and believe they fit handsomely.
I’ve also received compliments recently on the way they apparently magnify my eyes just enough to make the colour stand out in a ‘striking’ way, so for these reasons, I don’t think I’ll be moving to contacts any time soon.
Thank you for the question.”

“Another curious question.
At this point in my life, I have graduated from my guarded upbringing with the knowledge of the world that titles me as ‘a royal scholar.’
While I enjoy my task of being adviser to the king-in-waiting and hardly view it regularly as the weighty and vital duty that it certainly is, as I was groomed for this type of lifestyle, it would be difficult to imagine anything else.
I enjoy the structure and also the satisfaction I can feel when I organize a schedule of multiple people down to the minute and then execute it as well as instructing Noctis and reveling in his academic triumphs, so I’ve considered that I may like to become a professor in the future. I’ve taken classes in quite the array of subject matters, but I believe I would most enjoy teaching human biology, or perhaps dietary sciences and chemistry. The makeup and physiology of the human body endlessly interests me, as well as the inherent ability in which it can be easily molded and shaped through intake-based chemical reactions alone.
If I were being unabashedly self-indulgent, I may answer with something as non-committal as founding a coffee roastery, but I generally prefer my caffeine fix like I prefer my weapons: strong, quick, and cold.
Thank you for your question.”

“An interesting question, this.
I personally tend to gravitate toward daggers, but I am also proficient in polearm weapons when I do need to make a bit more distance between myself and the enemy. My propensity toward the shorter weapons falls in line with my personal interest in wanting to be in the centre of the fight and also to be able to slide myself into any possible situation and, if necessary, to act quickly in defense of the King or Prince.
If you do not yet know, I am a member of the Crownsguard, the royal guard of the Lucian family. We are small and have a very specific task, one that is made even more vital when considering that we may only use countermeasures rather than striking first, so throughout my training I only trained with other members of the guard. Gladiolus, whom I have mentioned before, was one of my most common sparring partners, followed by his father.
About the Kingsglaive not being included, I can only speculate, but it could be due in part to wanting to ensure some semblance of anonymity of the Crownsguard’s faces, security precautions, and clearances as we trained exclusively in The Citadel. The different training regimen that the members of the Kingsglaive go through, both for their standardized weapon choices and for their more extensive training with magic might also be a reason.
The Kingsglaive uses daggers, sickles, and kukri for many of the same reasons of flexibility in differing situations that I mentioned earlier, but also because they are gifted with the ability to warp from one point to another. Their bodies are ‘point A’ and the daggers act as ‘point B.’ When the knives are thrown, their smaller size and lowered likelihood of being noticed immediately aids in the ease of reconnaissance missions.
Thank you for your question.”

Minor NSFW Warning
“First, let me say that I genuinely love when one of my responses can prompt a small exchange of dialogue like this.
If I recall correctly, I mentioned that I would be fine in both ‘positions’, as it were, but, as you mentioned, I would prefer not submitting myself completely to the will of another.
I feel like this hypothetical situation would rely entirely upon with whom I was sharing the experience; I would have a different desire if I were sharing this role exchange with a dedicated lover, versus if I were to patronize an establishment alone for this kind of evening.
I am far from discounting the idea that releasing all of my worries to the will of another would be liberating, I just don’t believe I’m comfortable enough with myself yet to allow that to happen with any sort of regularity.
Secondly, is that adamant interest and attempt at coercion an offer?
Thank you for your response.”
(It’s entirely my pleasure. Thank YOU <3)

Minor Spoiler Warning
“Given the current state of Eos, I couldn’t imagine morally bringing a child into such a dark world fraught with terrors. If the world, and perhaps myself, were different, I haven’t had much time to imagine the idea of my own children.
I raised Noctis when I was also young, so I know that I would be confident in my current abilities in taking care of my child or children, but I’m not sure that I would have the time to commit that raising them deserves.
As of right now, I’m certainly not opposed to that future, but also not entirely keen either. I assume that if I were to find the right partner, the decision wouldn’t be mine alone, but I can imagine I would be strict when necessary, but now very well aware of what freedoms and curiosities children both want and expect to have as they grow up.
I would like to hope that my partner could act as my complement, one who would balance me out when I became too serious in any situation, child-related or otherwise.
Thank you for your question.”

“I think my response depends on how I happened to enter into the poor mood.  If it was caused by something I myself did, I would want to be left alone to consider what my mistake was and how it can be remedied for future situations. I’ve had a few of these experiences and that always seems to work for me.
If the mood came about from an event I personally had no control over and simply had to react, and evidently, coped poorly, I would likely search out companionship. In situations like this, I usually like to find a friend to speak to and vent that way, though simply listening to someone else’s entirely different thoughts is just as calming for me.
I suppose this isn’t so much someone intentionally cheering me up, but just something to take my mind off of my issue.
Thank you for your question.”

Spoiler Warning
“It’s been a decade of excruciating darkness for all of Eos, an occurrence of which I have great familiarity. That being said, I’ve had my own tasks and self-imposed goals to preoccupy my time.
I’ve spent many years in kitchens I have never seen, re-learning the culinary arts and drawing upon my more visceral actions. Through my phone, I can record new recipe ideas, but the day upon which I debut them may be far off indeed, due very much in part to the scarcity and expense of more exotic ingredients and resources.
In conjunction with my cooking prowess slowly returning to me, I struggled through disciplining myself in terms of combat without eyesight. Gladio was able to assist me in the beginning of the Dark Era due to his propensity of using bladed weapons, versus Prompto’s firearms. I was struck down many times while sparring, but now I can proudly boast that I am near the skill level I had honed prior to my injury. My skin detects miniscule shifts in the air pressure caused by the swing of an arm or nearby body, my ears perceive heightened breathing, my nose can detect the metal grease from a broadsword, and if those all fail, it occasionally falls to muscle memory and simply trusting that my body will do the right thing.
I’ve also spent a great deal of time on my own. Gladio and Prompto are off living their lives as they see fit, as the apparent only binding tie between us is gone. Though I have nurtured a few new relationships, I’ve been able to reestablish my independence without these friends being overbearing or treating me like a liability to be protected.
Unfortunately, because the guiding light in my life is- …was Noctis, in his absence, it feels as if I’ve just been living a series of projects designed to keep me busy, rather than fulfill my life, but perhaps that will change.
Thank you for checking up on me.”

UPDATE (10/05/17)
Hey, everyone! Mod Miura here! Thank you all so much for your amazing asks along with your ongoing love and support of this blog!
We have been receiving a lot of asks recently in this blog, which is really awesome! Mun Kanji is having a lot of fun with the blog as much as I am simply modding it! Now, we’ve also been receiving a lot of same, similar questions we have answered before. For those kinds of asks, I will be replying it with a link to the previous answered ask(s) that relates to the ask(s) given. Hope you guys wouldn’t mind that!
Thanks so much for taking the time to read this post!

“Considering the stipulation, excluding the health of the royal family, I imagine this will be an unsurprising response, given the type of mental portrait I’ve painted of myself throughout the previous answers:
What I fear most is the occurrence of a kind of catastrophic event that renders me utterly helpless to respond.
I would like to hope that I would be of sound mind so that I could rationally formulate a plan, but luckily, and a bit unfortunately, I have yet to find myself in that position to test my mental strength in such a way.
Aside from that, I have a minor, and to my knowledge, unfounded fear of confined, dark spaces. It’s irrational and I try to use exposure therapy as often as I can, as I imagine I will eventually find myself in some sort of cramped cave or dimly-lit grotto should I explore the rest of Lucis as I would like.
Thank you for your question.”

“First I would like to say that you do not need to be timid in asking questions. I agreed to the idea of this blog, and therefore I will answer everything as completely as I see fit.
Truthfully, as I’m expected to attend council meetings in Noctis’ stead and join combat-training sessions, just to name two of my daily obligations, I am not afforded many opportunities to wear cologne. This mostly comes into play during meetings, where I am expected to be as unobtrusive as possible and simply take objective notes for later review.
As I imagine that’s an unsatisfying answer, the cologne I do own is usually worn sparingly during formal events and has main accords of aromatic citrus with an underlying freshness that I’ve been told is ‘spicy’.
On average though, I simply shower every night, launder my clothes every few days as, I imagine, anyone else in Lucis would, and wear deodorant. The scents of my shampoo and conditioner are cocoa butter with Longwythe avocado oil, I use a common freshly-scented detergent for my clothing, and my deodorant has a herbal base note with timber and mint.
Thank you for your very interesting question.”

“As the sole adviser to a young monarch, I very often find myself in situations that I rarely find comfortable and that I would otherwise avoid. However, in terms of having an interest in voluntarily trying something that would be uncomfortable for me, I have always thought that flying an aircraft would be far and away from what I would consider my comfort zone.
I’m used to chauffeuring Noctis around on the ground, but to leave those two dimensions below I imagine would truly be an en-heightening experience. Certainly one that I cannot imagine being completely at ease during.
There are other interests I have to push my boundaries, but they are far tamer and akin to traveling alone beyond the Capital walls, or, say, putting anything that Noctis cooks directly into my mouth with no questions asked. Perhaps someday...
Thank you for your question.”

“In contrast to my previous response regarding my method to deal with depression, when I’ve experienced a day in which everything that could go poorly, does, I tend to effectively shut myself off from the world for the remainder of the day.
I will drive home in silence, prepare a meal that is quick but nutritious (this usually consists of a scramble of eggs and fresh vegetables, accompanied by two slices of toast, one with butter and the other with a soft cheese) and sequester myself in my bedroom. I tend to curl up in bed, turn off all lights save for my bedside lamp, find a book, and set my phone to silent. Unfortunately, as long as I am advising the young Prince, I am bound by aristocratic contract that I cannot be entirely unreachable, even during the night.
The books that clutter my bedside table are ones that I look forward to whenever I have the time, so this bad day is the best time for me to pamper myself and banish the terrible hours prior with pleasure reading.
Another question concerning my mental well-being. Perhaps the royal adviser has a few very concerned fans. Although my work ethic and schedule may not reflect it, let me assure you that I recognize that without mental and physical health, nothing could be adequately accomplished, and I do strive to take care of myself first and foremost.
Thank you so much for your concerns for a man whom, to my knowledge, you have never met. Thank you for your question.”

“It would be a boldfaced lie if I said that, given my continuously full schedule, that I never experience depression. That being said, because I have always known the level to which I am expected to work right now, it may not come as a surprise that these bouts do not appear very often. However, when depression does rear its head, I employ what I have come to realize is a foolproof and quick resolution for myself.
Though I hardly have the opportunity to enjoy it, I do very much revel in the company of others. As I live alone, work alone, and oftentimes, eat alone, when my motivation begins to flag, I do my best to clear my schedule for the coming evening, which oftentimes results in completing everything earlier in the same afternoon, and make calls to a few friends.
Luckily, in the past at least one person is able to meet with me, usually amazed I have, or have made, free time for myself. I find that when my dedication is at its weakest, a night with friends simply sharing a meal or heading to a new coffee shop or tea house truly restores my spirits; we’re currently on the search for the ideal cortado.
This may not be a method that can help everyone, but I implore those of you who suffer from depression to pull yourselves from your work, or bed, as I am loathe to admit I would rather bury myself in when that feeling occurs, and surround yourself with people who care about you.
Thank you for your question.”
