Which nation is the funnest to play Pinoy Henyo with?

//Pinoy Henyo is from the Philippine variety show, “Eat Bulaga!”  It’s a game where one person has to guess what word they have on their head by asking another person a series of “Yes” or “No” questions.  The reason why I chose South Korea for this was because there were Korean hosts in “Eat Bulaga!”  Another reason why I chose him was because I’ve watched Korean variety shows like “Running Man” and they’re all hilarious lol

Will you be attending Simbang Gabi this year?

Philippines: “I’ve been doing this for over three centuries, I’ll never stop participating in it!”

//Simbang Gabi (Night Mass) is a tradition practiced by Catholics in the Philippines (so basically majority of the Filipinos living there lol).  Daily masses are held for nine days straight, December 16-24.  This tradition originated when Philippines was a new Spanish colony.  It began in 1669 and it is usually held from 3:00 AM to 5:00 AM so the farmers could avoid working in the heat of the afternoon.  In places like the provinces in the Philippines mass starts early in the morning and in areas like Manila it starts at night.  After the mass, people can feast on Filipino delicacies for breakfast or as a midnight snack.  Simbang Gabi is a very treasure tradition in the Philippines.

What do you think about Kuya Russia?

//Relations between the two countries began in the 19th century.  Russia was interested in establishing ties with Southeast Asian countries in order to trade with them.  It didn’t work out too well in the Philippines because it wasn’t approved/recognized by the Spanish colonial government.

During the Cold War, Philippines was America’s strongest ally in Southeast Asia causing the relationship with Russia (who was then known as the Soviet Union) to diminish.  However, the President of the Philippines at the time (Ferdinand Marcos) tried to reestablish ties with Russia in case America loses the Vietnam War.

Currently, the Philippines-Russia relations have improved drastically with the help of Philippines current president, Rodrigo Duterte.  He wanted the Philippines to be less dependent on the US, so he focused on building up positive relations with Russia and China.  Russia is interested in helping modernize Philippines’ military and the Philippines is interested in buying their weapons to reach that goal.  The US on the otherhand is against Philippines being interested in buying Russian military equipment.  In reply, Russia said that the US should mind their own business.
