I am not even one bit surprised you associated anything to Hamilton. Oh believe me I know. I even tried to go to CVS and it was closed at 10 pm. You’d think I’d be used to it, growing up here. But no. it’s something I’ll have to get used to all over again.

Lin-Manuel Miranda is a genius and although Hamilton is a masterpiece, so are some of his previous works like In The Heights which infuses his own Latin roots with Broadway. I’m hoping Moana scores him an Oscar so he can earn a coveted spot in the EGOT club. Speaking of award season, did you catch Meryl Streep’s acceptance speech at the Golden Globes?

I suppose in a way it’s sort of admirable that they’re so determined to provide time off for their workers. And yet, the New Yorker in me is infuriated that there isn’t a late night bakery to satisfy my late-night cravings. How long are you in town for?

does it not upset you that finn never defends you?

Finn has more pressing concerns that span far past speaking out on my behalf over petty and unimportant opinions certain individuals might have about me. 

Not only am I very capable of defending myself, but it is 2017 and I do not need a man to come to my rescue every single time someone feels the need to attack me. I know Finn has my back and although I would never think of dragging him into whichever argument is making the rounds during that particular week, if I were to ask for his support I have no doubt he would take my side.

The woman is a legend! As such it’s important to repeat her name numerous times rather just referring to her as a “she/her/them/etc” which feels somewhat disrespectful.

Kurt: I understand, but I've forgiven him for that and it's in the past.

Kurt: There is. Every relationship have its ups and downs. And even when he made mistakes and I made mistakes, I've never stopped loving him.

Kurt: ...That's actually a fantastic idea.

Rachel: I know, but my point is that you can't continue to beat yourself up about it when you've both made missteps in the relationship.

Rachel: Precisely! Not to mention it'll give the New Directions an opportunity to stretch their performance muscles. With Sectionals just a few weeks away we need to get in as much practice as possible.

Sia or Barbra Streisand?

While I don’t believe musically they could be compared as they vary in both their instrumental stylings as well as vocal arrangements and harmonies, I will always choose Barbra Streisand no matter who she is pitted against. They both have powerful and theatrical vocals, however, Barbra’s is more of the traditional Broadway voice. Not to mention Barbra is fellow talented and untraditionally attractive Jewish woman whose talents have extended from stage, to concert venues to the big screen - her career is not only an admirable one but one I hope to emulate in my own way.

And how, pray tell, would I even go about sabotaging the Warblers? I suppose the next preposterous “confession” will be that I am somehow paying Marley to date the head Warbler as an evil plot to further distract them from the upcoming competition.

Kurt: No, I put two and two together based on the fact that Blaine's been hanging out with Sebastian lately.

Kurt: Yes, but was is the important word in that sentence. I /was/ engaged to him. I screwed things up.

Kurt: Blaine and I also might have a date tonight. But even with that, I'm scared that he won't be able to fully trust me again to get back together.

Kurt: I know Blaine's the one for me. I can't lose him.

Rachel: Eugh.

Rachel: Right, but let's not all act as if he's /never/ done anything to screw up the relationship long before the engagement even occurred.

Rachel: Regardless, there's always a special place in your heart for someone you were once engaged to. That's a hefty commitment to make, and even if things fall apart that doesn't necessarily mean they're broken beyond repair.

Rachel: What if you surprise him at Dalton? We could come up with a romantic musical number for you to surprise him with.

If you could have lunch with anyone in the world, living or dead, who would it be?

Finally! A question not completely absorbed in petty discussions which interest none of you apart from those involved, or one attempting to discredit my personality by implying I am some sort of power-hungry monster with no other agenda than to be a selfish, mean and controlling person. 

I would not be able to narrow it down to one specific person, but rather I would host a luncheon for a small number of people who I feel I could learn from. In no particular order, my guest list would be:

Kurt: I can't lose the love of my life to the criminal chipmunk. I honestly don't know what to do about this.

Rachel: I figured you'd need to know this information.

Rachel: It's not great, sure, but I'm hoping informing you will make you a more cunning opponent.

Rachel: Although I'm sure it doesn't take a genius to put together that Sebastian is clearly back, in large majority, to win Blaine over.

Rachel: I personally prefer comparing him to Snake Jafar, but criminal chipmunk has delightful alliteration. You have the upper-hand. You were engaged to him, he's always going to clearly favor you slightly more than him.

I’m not sure if I find the fact that this town is so quiet peaceful or unsettling. I’ve gotten so used to the loud noises of the city that quiet is weird to me now. While I’m glad to be with familiar faces, I don’t know how I feel about just being back in Ohio itself. It’s not awful but it’s definitely weird. 

I must admit my first thought upon seeing this was It’s Quiet Uptown from the Hamilton musical. It’s beyond strange trying to sleep when it’s so quiet outside, especially coming from New York and LA where the nightlife was always buzzing - so even if you couldn’t sleep you had options. Whereas here it’s a miracle if you find a place that stays open past midnight.

People commenting on a situation they are not involved in is something that does not sit well with me. As far as I can tell you are a perfectly nice person who is full of talent. 

I am doing well, trying to get past the drama of it all and get the Warblers refocused on what our real goal is. How about yourself? 

I, for one, am glad you opted to speak up. That takes guts, and I truly appreciate that someone was willing to back me up. I wholeheartedly agree, it’s easy to comment on a situation from the outside of it. I am content in knowing Marley is clearly in good hands. 

Truly a drama-free show choir competition is all I’d like, but it’s rarely ever not complicated when it comes to show choir. I’m doing well! Excited to get back to work on performances. I can’t wait to see what ideas Marley has thought up. Hiring her was probably one of the best decisions I’ve made as a coach so far. I do hope the competition doesn’t cause any sort of friction between the two of you.

Finn: It's okay, but yeah! That would be a good idea! Uhm, it's alright, but do you think maybe next time we could go together? We don't have to, but I'd like to walk more than two blocks, but I'm sorta scared.

Rachel: Oh hush.

Rachel: Well you'd still have Kurt so I'm sure you'd do just fine without me. You're always going to be my person, Finn, so believe me when I say that I will accept and love you no matter what.

Rachel: Of course we can! Anything you need, I'm your girl.
