Hotekk: You don't know how many times we get players asking us. As much as even we want him and his girl gone, those two might happen to belong to some well off families who believe in the Port Court. And who have no issue throwing some of their money at the company to keep their kids from getting banned... With all that money, you'd think Klay could've found himself better glasses. And Krystella some better pants.

Flashback to a previous day in the Port Court. Krystella and another player her age, who looks like a young Bo Burnham in a green jacket, have gotten into a little argument. Nearby players cheer it on until the chaotibots notice and tell everyone to disperse.

Krystella: You cannot be trying to roast me when your shoes look like they came from the clearance cart at Walmart.

Will: Girl, I know you're not gonna try to roast me. Look at you.

Krystella: Look at you!

Will: No, look at you! Don't get on my clothes when you're wearing those sweatpants when you're flat.

Ohhs from players as Krystella crosses her arms.

Will: You know, we're supposed to see something--

Krystella: Excuse me? These probably cost more than everything you're wearing right now...

Will: You wanna wear something like that? Make sure got ass first. Okay, sweetie?

Heightened hollers and cheers from the crowd as Krystella is slowly losing her patience.

Krystella: Oh, just wait 'til I hear you're in the UnderWorld.

Will: I'm surprised you haven't gotten implants there yet. Looks like you got some on your face there?

Krystella: Oh, he is so dead.

Hotekk: Ah, the days I actually love the playerbase.

Putting preferred tribes aside, any favorite Creature lore/backstories?

Oron: I have to give Mommark credit, his understanding of life and death, and maybe undeath is almost unmatched. Even in Perim, Frankenstein shenanigans aren't really a thing... Outside the UnderWorld, sort of. But here he is, cranking out a few creatures that could set a lot of events in motion... That I don't feel like elaborating on other than tribal things. Hate to admit it's really fascinating to me. His techniques are far from perfect, though. Conditioning obedience into his creations is something he can't get down... Hey, Crellan!

Crellan: Yeah?

Oron: How many escaped creatures is Mommark on now?

Crellan: I don't know, six or seven?

Oron: And if that mystery creature is his, that makes eight... Yeah. What I really don't understand is how he's still allowed in the OverWorld. Maxxor is too lenient with his fringe tribesmen.

Did any Chaotic player bring their pets? Like a Cat or Dog, maybe even a bunny?

Attacat: What are pets...?

Hotekk: Hey, Attacat, I seem to have left my CodeMaster helmet in the studio. Mind fetching it for me?

Attacat: Alright.

When everybody's favorite panther is gone.

Hotekk: No, that was forbidden before any of us were CodeMaster. For once, the relations department knew what they were doing. Not every creatures takes the news of their animal counterparts well like Wytod did. And the less reasons creatures hate us, the better.

@rogueiron18 - Saw your ask on the creature blog. I have an ask blog for my CodeMasters too, so I'm answering the question here.

Crellan: Contrary to popular belief, no, we don't make the player a CodeMaster. Being that good at the game is only one of our considerations for recruitment, and it's not a big one. There are other factors. Like, knowing how to handle problematic players who damage locations, and how to talk to creatures about sensitive topics. We're more than drome bosses and our uniforms aren't just for show.

What animal from Earth would be weird to see in Perim?

Hotekk: More like which animal wouldn't be weird in Perim. But to answer your question, if we're talking about the animalia kingdom, I haven't seen a creature like the tardigrade... This ask reminds me of the time CodeMaster Chirrul showed OverWorlders pictures of their feral counterpart once. Either they were confused, weirded out, or disturbed.

Wasn’t a CodeMaster ask but I imagined Hotekk answering instead. Went through with it for variety.

Do the tribe leaders know about human drugs or weed?

Hotekk: Maybe by name but not firsthand. Drugs have been banned from Chaotic since the alpha stage. The last thing we need is players high in Perim. They’re bad enough clean.

Alright. Tell us your most embarassing loss!

Crellan: I lost a match with Hotekk because I used the wrong mugic. Meant to use a Song of Resurgence... turned out I picked Surge Song in the drome. So, Hotekk just hid until the mugic wore off.

Hotekk: Can’t remember one.

Chirrul: Liar, he’s still salty about losing to MajorTom’s weird battle team. Anyway, most embarrassing loss... That’d have to be when I lost to a sleepwalker. The guy just passed out during the last match and I was looking at the camera like “look at this guy”. Then, he started sleepwalking and he shot me in the back. 

Amzen: Once, I had a Codemaster battle with another player that got real heated. So heated, I didn’t notice there was a tree root behind me... I tripped and my opponent got to code me.

Oron: I was driving a drilldozer and hit reverse instead of the gas, while right behind a cliff.

Imthor: A kid called me ‘Imthot’ while I was sneaking up on him. I laughed, he heard me, I got coded.

What tribes do you guys play with and are there any tribes we dont know about yet?

“What tribes do you guys play with?”

Crellan: OverWorld, but I use Prexxori sometimes. I can’t improve my Prexxor teams, though, because of the Blight (we still don’t know what exactly that thing was). The survivors have either abandoned Prexxor Chasm or fled into the deepest sublocations, where it’s dangerous even for us. I know they’re mostly just monsters, but I feel bad for them.

Hotekk: Uh, OverWorld. Present and past. Sort of. Can’t work on my past teams either; Van Bloot ruins everything he touches... Am I done?

Amzen: Usually, Danians or UnderWorlders. Depends on my opponent, really. Not just for the tribe, but which gear I want to use. Most creatures are used to certain BattleGear. One of the most effective ways to play is use what’s natural to your creature, not you. Get in their head.

Oron: I use them all equally. Maining one tribe is too... limiting for me. Every opponent calls for a unique counter, which is especially important in the highest ranks. Putting your eggs in the basket of one or two tribes is very exploitable.

Imthor: (Clearing throat, looking troubled) We… don’t have a Tirasis right now… I prefer UnderWorlders. If that’s everything, I’ve got reports to read.

Chirrul: I used to play Mipedians, but M’arrillians are just too good even after the Invasion. Even better to play them when you know where to get scans.

“Are there any tribes we don’t know about yet?”

Oron: Probably, a large portion of Perim is uncharted or unexplored even by creatures.
