Is it okay to smile? I'm drifting past the people who love me. I've lost my oar. But I found yours- Can I borrow it for a few? I found you shipwrecked, I found you abandoned. I adopted you- I only want to show you the light. Let me walk in your shadow. When you fall the darkness will solidify and support you- Can I hold you? Your warmth and happiness makes me wish of what I never had. Let me lie to you and hope you can hear the real me. You touch me and, oh, you feel so nice. I only wish I had skin too. But I've left my shell behind, the former me. Yet, you help me find a more suitable color. Something not just black and white. I like gray, but you say NO and draw me with so many colors. I am enraptured, I am overwhelmed. You are happy. I am crying- I can't stop. When I wipe the tears, I smudge, the darkness starts to fade. You tell me i'm beautiful imperfect.
