I don't mean to bother, but I can't simply ignore the fact that you're unhappy on the day that you put your entire heart and soul into making perfect. And despite the fact that we all know what Stephen is like, it would be unfair towards you to have your efforts be dismissed. His birthday is important, but not at the expense of your well-being, and your feelings aren't any less valid. You deserve to be acknowledged and appreciated openly. How can I make it better for you? How should I help?

Oftentimes we can't grasp the privilege that is the quality of life that we have as opposed to other people's lack thereof. The toughest part of the year is nearby, please extend a hand to those who aren't as fortune as you.

 Lessons in Gratitude

As many of you may know, I’ve been homeless for over three months now, and along the way, I’ve experienced some times of great despair. Times when I hadn’t a penny in my pocket and three days until payday. Times when I’ve had to beg a family member to lend me money with no promise of when I could repay him, just to keep from a week sleeping in my car. For the next 3-4 nights I’m staying with a friend, and hopefully after that there will be a bed available for me at a shelter for women in desperate need of fresh starts. I’m trying my best to be optimistic it’s my turn next.
