Tenma:  I was wondering why I’m being served vegetable potage of all things on my birthday… But it was actually really good. Azami and Guy-san said they prepared this with my health in mind. It might’ve tasted so good because of the feelings they put into it.

Guy: I made the potage based on the recipe you gave me, but I also made some adjustments based on Fushimi’s input. How does it taste?

Azami: It’s crazy good. The vegetables are sweeter, and I think it's easier to eat than the original thing. I seriously admire how easily you can whip something up like that.

Tenma: As I look at the rain falling over the city from the car’s window, I start wondering what the others are up to.

Yuki: It's fun to think of outfits for rainy days. I just thought of one that’ll work well for Tsumugi, so I'll have him try it out. 

Muku: When your heart skips a beat from someone's perfectly styled hair getting messy in the rain... This happens a lot in shoujo manga too!

Misumi: I went to the batting center with Kumon. I was soo close to a homerun, too bad~

Banri: Thought I saw a teru teru bōzu with a realistic as heck face, and it turns out Kazunari made it. His drawing skills are crazy, huh.

Tsumugi: I’m wearing a rainy day outfit Yuki-chan came up with today. Isn't it stylish?

Tasuku: I got waterproof gear for rainy days. Now I can run comfortably even in the rain.

Hisoka: I found a cat taking shelter from the rain on my way home from work, so I played with it for a bit. I think it made her happy.

Homare: I shall go outside for a bit. I am thinking of admiring the young leaves as raindrops beautifully fall off of them.

Azuma: Kazu made a teru teru bōzu and drew my face on it. Cute, isn’t it?

Guy: Miyoshi came up with decorations for my vinyl umbrella. Rainy days will be more enjoyable with this.

Tenma: This special broadcast gave us the chance to watch footage from First Crush Baseball after a while, too.

Kumon: Yup! It reminded me of lots of things that happened during practice and our role studies while watching it…

Kumon: But when I think of this play, my number one memory is the baseball tourney we did~!

Tenma: We could only do that because the company had grown big enough, not to mention we’d have never thought of it if you hadn’t joined us.

Hisoka: I found a triangle keychain at the amusement park I work part-time at. I thought it’d make Misumi happy.

Homare: Oh my, have you received a letter from Madoka-kun? I am more than happy to provide you with some advice if you find yourself at a loss for the contents of your reply.

Azuma: How about we make onigiri together with Sakyo-kun this year? We can go shopping right away.

Guy: I prepared a storage box for Ikaruga’s extensive collection of items. It is triangular, of course.

Like peas in a pod - Tsumugi Tsukioka

Hello. This is the Winter Troupe’s Tsumugi Tsukioka.

You can really feel the arrival of the rainy season now that it’s raining day after day. Even in our dorm, checking the weather forecast and sharing our findings has become a bit of a routine. Sometimes, someone will forget to check and end up forgetting their umbrella in their rush to get ready, or they’ll start hanging the laundry outside… It’s quite the common sight.

Truth be told, I also forgot to bring my umbrella the other day since I didn’t check the evening forecast…  Thankfully, Chikage-san happened to be on his way home and picked me up in his car. But when I got inside, three other people were already there. I’ll leave who they were up to your imagination.

While waiting for the car, I took shelter in a nearby coffee shop that was displaying some beautiful blooming hydrangeas. They were some rather unusual little ones, with stylish white and light green colors, and I suddenly thought of something as I stared at them. 

Hydrangeas are kind of like actors.

Small flowers come together to form one big “connected group”, and bloom differently depending on where they’re raised… That’s something actors and hydrangeas have in common, I think.

When I told that to everyone in the car, I was called “the gardening nerd of theater nerds”.

This has been a rainy day anecdote featuring these “four peas in a pod”.

Everyone, please make sure you always check the forecast and remember to bring an umbrella with you.

A3! Troupe Members Blog Update - 25/5/2025

Go - Chikage Utsuki

I’m the Spring Troupe’s Chikage Utsuki.

Now that May is here, the weather is starting to get gentler. I feel like I’ve been seeing a lot of people spending time on the dorm’s balcony and in the courtyard. The courtyard is especially spacious, so there’s always someone there.

As for the balcony, a while ago I saw this duo playing Go there.

It’s rare for anyone in the company to play Go, so I took a picture and stayed to watch them until the end.

As you can see from their expressions in the picture, Sakyo-san was the victor. But Tasuku came close too. Depending on their final plays, the outcome might’ve been reversed.

By the way, apparently they were playing Go because May 14th is Go Stones Day and Kazunari invited them to play together. It sounded like Sakyo-san and Tasuku came earlier than the designated time, so the two of them started a game.

Kazunari and Tenma arrived right after Sakyo-san and Tasuku finished their game and played against each other. Apparently, they both knew the rules, but they were actually beginners Although they needed a little help whenever they got stuck, they seemed to enjoy playing Go and thinking on their own.

In the end, I also played against Sakyo-san and Tasuku, but I’ll leave the results of those games up to your imagination.

Well then, I will see you at the theater.

Tsumugi: Hello. I am Tsumugi Tsukioka, from MANKAI Company’s Winter Troupe.

Taichi: And I’m Taichi Nanao from the Autumn Troupe!

Tsumugi: Thank you very much for watching the special stream of MANKAI Company’s 7th Mixed Performance…

Taichi & Tsumugi: “Stray Devil Blues.”!

Taichi: The following is the bonus footage! It’ll feature a free talk corner with the lead, Tsumugi-san, and the co-lead, me.

Tsumugi: This play was performed as part of an act-off with GOD-za, and as the title suggests, the theme was “devils”.

Tsumugi: Taichi-kun and I both made requests to our scriptwriter Tsuzuru-kun regarding our roles and the play’s content, but, well…

Taichi: They were completely opposite requests!

Tsumugi: I asked him to kill the identity of Tsumugi Tsukioka and let me play a role that was a complete 180 from my usual.

Taichi: But I asked him to write a role that exposes as much of myself and is as Taichi Nanao as possible.

Tsumugi: They might’ve been opposite requests, but I’d say they were both brought to life nicely in the script.

Taichi: That reminds me, with the Winter Troupe’s debut performance, you’ve played as both an angel and a devil, Tsumugi-san.

Tsumugi: That’s right. Not to mention they were both in act-offs against GOD-za… That kind of feels like fate.

Taichi: We’d gotten involved with GOD-za in all sorts of things even before the Devils performance but…

Taichi: Our relationship got stronger after it.

Tsumugi: We’ve even had the opportunity to put on a collaborative play, and, although this may sound presumptuous, I believe we are a source of inspiration for one another.

Tsumugi: I hope we can keep our friendly rivalry going to liven up Veludo Way and the theater scene.

Taichi: Right! I’ll work my hardest too!

Tsumugi: It seems our time is almost up.

Tsumugi: So, thank you very much for watching the bonus free talk footage for “Stray Devil Blues”.

Sakyo: Oi, Director-san.

Izumi: Oh, Sakyo-san. Is something wrong?

Sakyo: Nah, just don’t go leaving the freezer open for too long. The food’ll go bad.

Izumi: Oh, you’re right. I’m sorry, I got distracted.

Izumi: I was just looking over our frozen food… Yup, they all look okay.

Izumi: Alright. I’ve got something to do, so I’ll be going now.

Sakyo: Sure…
