It's only week 2 of my 3rd year as a Nursing Student and I feel like I've been hit by a ton of bricks. I know it's somewhat normal to feel overwhelmed at times as a nursing student, but that doesn't change the fact that it gets to me sometimes. Everything is moving so quickly in front of me that I'm finding it hard to keep up at times. I know God can get me through everything if I just give him the opportunity to so I need to get myself together. Over the summer I saw an artist on YouTube talk about how drawing what we feel helps release some emotional tension/stress. A sketch I made over a year ago inspired by the film Black Panther. I never completed it because I gave up when it came to transferring it my laptop to color. I wanted to do a little comic on two Wakandan college sweethearts and felt inspired by the film's use of Afro-Futurism inspired designs and textures. In my culture we don't do a lot when it comes to honoring the dead with memorials and grand gestures. We just honor the memories we had with them and do our best to care for the ones they left behind.
