Because they [Aziraphale and Crowley] are kind of two halves of the same character, ultimately. That’s interesting that when Neil Gaiman first wrote this as a short story, there was only one character. And then when Terry Pratchett came along he suggested splitting them into two making them an angel and a demon. (x)

All I'm saying is we've seen Crowley nearly cry over Aziraphale at least three times, on camera. And that's just in a 4 year span of time.
