An Awkward Azul Ashengrotto trying to comfort you

You're upset.

He's not really sure why. For the first time in a while, Azul doesn't know what to do.

A couple of minutes ago, he came up to you wearing a big grin, hoping to sell you some new product he had. "Oh prefect", he called out, in his regular overly-sweet tone. But then you lifted your head, and he saw your face. He didn't know how to describe it, but something about you felt wrong. Like you weren't your normal self. Like something hurt you. For the first time in a long time, Azul didn't know what to say.

Azul prides himself for having a large vocabulary, often saying complicated words rapid enough that the little fish would have no time to react (and get swept up in the sweet words that they sign an un-benificial contract).

For the first time in a while, Mr. Thesaurus "I-know-too-many-complicated-words" Ashengrotto was speechless. Azul felt something tugging his heart, telling him not to leave you alone. He didn't understand why he felt that way, even more so that he actually followed that advice. Azul didn't understand anything. But he sat beside you in silence.

Azul didn't like the silence. It made him feel antsy. He wanted to say something, anything, so the atmosphere would go back to normal and everything would be alright and you wouldn't feel that way anymore. So Azul spoke. He cleared his throat and said, "Are you alright?"

Are you alright? What was he thinking!? That was the dumbest thing he could've ever said. Of course you're not alright!! And not only that, his voice cracked while asking you that. Azul mentally groaned. This was so embarrassing, he wanted to hide in an octopot.

But somehow, that made you laugh? Was it because his voice cracked? Azul got really mad at the notion, but then he saw your face. Smiling. Laughing. Azul pouted, and faced away from you. Secretly, he was just glad that you were back to normal. Not that he'd ever admit it.

You reached out to him, apologizing for laughing at his (admittedly very funny) mistake. Azul smiled at you, a beautiful smile, a real smile. And then, that smile slowly changed into a grin, one that usually meant he was up to no good. He went back to trying to sell you that thing, which you aren't sure if it's perfume or some sort of table salt. You doubled down laughing, seeing how quickly Azul can go back to salesman mode. You see Azul's face turn beet red, almost the same shade as Riddle's hair, and you can even imagine puffs of smoke coming out of his ears. He demanded to know what you thought was so funny, but you merely smiled. Azul's pouting face right now is so very cute.

He'd also befriend them, and let them have some of his food, and you'll definitely see him surrounded by cute little birds on a daily. OMG I had a dream of this movie I made called Lupita, and this is something by definitely only I cab write because… It’s heavy in psychological stuff…

It pretty much follows this girl named Lupita who couldn’t really feel many emotions. She was treated fine by her parents, but she still sought adrenaline by doing crazy stuff around her neighborhood with her best friend Azzy. Long story short, she finds a bunch of money after using a bunch of her parents to buy designer, and she starts filling the holes in her heart with that money she found. It’s how money can influence those who arent in the right mind, and how it can destroy a person who thinks it’s helping them.

Desert Theater Analysis

DISCLAIMER: I do NOT take credit for the song. That credit goes to Kikou and Hanatan. However, this analysis is originally mine.

Warnings: Toxic Relationships, Unalived people, Emotional Instability, Heavy Attachment Issues, Delusion, this is NOT A HAPPY SONG. It is very depressing and if you are not in the right mental space right now, It’s okay. Read this later. You have time, just please prioritize yourself and your mental health.

here's my take of the song upon listening to the other songs in the album (particularly "Climb! Advance! To the High Tower" and this will make sense if you decide to read this (I HIGHLY RECOMMEND LISTENING TO THIS SONG SO DESERT THEATER MAKES SENSE)). Both links are above.

Fore Note: I made the assumption that the 'crumbling earth' we see in the song is her 'decaying mind'.

***ALSO, I left a comment under the name cool guy with this entire thing on the actual video, so if you see this analysis on there too, then yk its me cuz of the name.

It’s time for the curtain call! Ladies and gents, enjoy.

Spoiler Alert: I think this song is about a girl relying on her s/o to be her emotional 'safety.' And what I mean by that is, the girl relies on her s/o to provide her emotional stability through loving her, cherishing her, and *living for her*.

To start off, the first verse (if it's even called a verse (I am not up to date with basic musical terminology, forgive me)). It clearly describes how, in her dream (the singer) visualized "a looming tower rising from the crumbling earth" she proceeds to describe how, in that dream, she "became drenched in [s/o's] rain." As seen in "Climb! Advance! To the High Tower", the entire song is was entirely surrounded by a concept of a tower built by people in search of happiness that came in the form of rain. This tower inevitably crumbled, and killed a bunch of people, but despite that happening, they continued to build the tower- except this time with the dead bodies! How fun. The reason I mention this, if it isn't clear already, is because these people sought happiness from that tower (or more so the rain from it). Since this song is from the same album (if I'm not mistaken), we can assume that that same notion applies to this 'looming tower' in her dream. When she got drenched by her s/o's rain in her dream, using a bit of substitution and deductive reasoning, it's safe to say that her s/o shown her love and affection that overwhelmed her with happiness, despite it not being real.

The chorus right after, "Please do not leave this theater" the theater represents their relationship, and more specifically, how she yearns for her s/o to show her that same love and affection she experience from her dream- *even if it's fake*. So when she says, "weep for me, embrace me, all for my sake", she is referring to how she wishes for her s/o to live for her, to devote themselves to her, even if it's just acting because she needs to feel that happiness. Happiness that is like a drug, she'd grown greedy (the theme of the aforementioned song) for the rain. "collect the decaying bodies / so that they may be reborn in the depth of the night" This line, I am pretty confident is a direct allusion to the other song, it's presence further solidifying her greed for her s/o's rain, or happiness. "Sinking into the depths of the stars" might refer to her becoming more enveloped in this dream of hers, becoming more delusional and desperate (as you will see) as time goes on.

This part is, by far, the most ambiguous part. Maybe it references another song in the album I haven't heard yet, I am not sure. If it is, please inform me. But without further ado, "Riding on a chain-shackled ark / I sail off toward the cliffs / As I was struck by the waves / I awaited your blood" may be reinstating, at least to support this interpretation of the song, her utter dependence on her s/o for happiness and stability. Here, it's probably illustrating how turbulent her mind is without s/o's rain, as being 'struck by the waves' generally causes a ship to rock violently back and forth, the ship is likely another metaphor for her mind, but rather her minds stability this time. She's chained to her ship, showing the toxic connection she has with her mind. Awaiting her s/o's blood might be how she's yearning for s/o's 'rain' however, since it's all an act, it's blood instead. I'd like to assume that the blood also, in turn, shows how the s/o's health is being negatively affected by her toxic attachment and demands, and through this, instead providing rain, they is providing his own blood (because they themselves aren't happy).

Halfway through the song, yippee...! Anyways, "Help me realize that this is a dream," pretty self-explanatory given the context, relying on her s/o to shed light that his devotion is an act, and to pull her out of her own greed-induced delusion. "Inside of my decaying mind, you've always been the only one that I sought" Again, her dependence on her s/o for stability is further supported by these lines. "Forever here, at the bottom of the stars" she has finally given up, she gave in to her own mind and her delusions (now Hanatan's desperation comes into play!) "Please don't leave this theatre / live, die, only for my sake" It's likely that at this point, she is begging for the s/o not to leave this relationship, not to stop the act. To continue their devotion towards her, even if it's injurious to himself. Her desperation, her dependence, the agony of despair is perfectly captured by our QUEEN Hanatan's performance. "Putting together my decaying heart / I will continue to wait for you in the depths of the night", these lines refer to how her heart is absolutely shattered after s/o stops the act, she is waiting for the old s/o, that one that gave her the rain, the happiness, for them to return again. "Moistening my red mouth / Right here is... / THE END!" Moistening ones mouth is often an action performed by those who are about to yell (thanks, me from 10 months ago.) This is the end for her, if she can't have that happiness, then she is over.
