Is it safe to say this is the week 9-1-1/ABC definitively crossed the line into queerbaiting?

A lot of people will have very well thought out and expressed breakdowns of all the ways this episode and season was a letdown, so I’m just going to nitpick at one: I’m incredibly disappointed that after all that Eddie didn’t make his own choice to stay in LA. Not for himself, not for Buck, not even really for the 118. What a sad ending to a season-long arc.

9-1-1's hottest press tour is buddie. we've got everything. rpf. baiting. friendzoning. insane sexual chemistry. doom-worthy "brothers" interviews. interviews calling a canonically bisexual character homosexual. reminders that eddie is a straight character, followed by "as we've seen thus far, at the very least, has been a straight character." oliver admitting their infamous kitchen scene was "super gay." oliver also admitting he doesn't know if the finale has moments "the buddie fans will rejoice over or not." ryan wanting to keep buddie friends, but then saying his next relationship should be "life-changing" and "throw him for a loop." ryliver getting drunk and spurring rpf rumors. ryliver doing joint interviews and spurring rpf rumors. oliver following and unfollowing a thirsty eddie stan account, while ryan's ex-wife makes cryptic comments about using "babe" platonically and "bro" romantically. oliver not wanting buddie to happen "just" for fanservice, but being down for it if that's where the story goes. confirmation that bobby's death "derailed" personal storylines, implying the buddie plot thread has been dropped—maybe until next season, maybe in general. borderline if not definitive queerbaiting. stills dropping that reignite copium. buzzfeed cyberbullying the fandom with their impending thirst tweets. a preview calling ryan's waist slutty and ryan crying. oliver mentioning choking fans with his thighs not once but twice. and this is all in the span of like two days
