Friendly reminder that
Australian KOSA passed.
Australians will have to enter government ID to access “social media” including YouTube as of 2026.
All under 16s are banned from “social media” no exceptions
Edited to add: while social media sites can’t force you to enter your gov ID they can request it and make it harder for you at access certain things in the meantime. Instagram already requests either a face scan or drivers license to change your age.
The most likely solution is a biometric face scan, which isn’t brilliant. But not as bad as it could be.
Privacy will always be an issue online, and without a doubt social media companies know far more than they should and do track your activities online.
According to albo (our prime minister) social media already knows if your under 16 as it already tracks you. It should be easy for them to “get rid” of these accounts. He is right in this to a point.
But linking all your social media to you is an issue for not only general but due to doxxing, blackmail, and outing of anyone who has to link their social media to their real identity.
I’m not against limiting social media for underage persons. But the age limit of 16, and the way they are doing it with no research, and no education in online safety before they turn 16, is a recipe for disaster

You all realize Feminists have been critiquing "women only spaces" for decades right?
I think often about Audre Lorde's critique of a women only event that welcomed her wife and daughter, but not her son. Because she questioned it - the function and purpose of barring even the sons of Feminist women from Feminist events. Especially the barring of her young Black son, who would otherwise be left alone in the city where he would be more prone to the very violence those same Feminist women claimed to want to change.
Because what functional, forward thinking Feminist purpose does it actually serve to do that? What message does that send to women with sons, husbands, brothers, lovers, friends, who want to involve the men and boys in their lives in their activism? Who want to build a functionally better world for us all outside of the oppressive grasp of Patriarchy? Especially for the marginalized men who often sit at their own intersection violent Patriarchal oppression, that still happens to be Patriarchal oppression despite it not being distinctly misogyny?
What purpose does it truly serve to sequester yourself away into a pocket of the world, detached from those you share it with? What bright and shining future does that really promise you?

Dysphoria (2025)
This is a repaint of an illustration I first posted right here on this account over a decade ago when I first transitioned. I did this for TDOV this year as a sort of 'then vs now' for myself more than anything. A lot has changed in a decade. I've changed.
A decade ago visibility felt like liberation, but today it feels like a target. A decade ago politicians made a lot of promises to us, and today they can't run away from us fast enough. A decade ago I was crashing out in a dysphoria spiral. Today, in spite of everything, I'm at peace with myself.
It's Pride Month in the States and the Trans community is going through it. Between the Skrmetti decision and the threat of HR1 stripping care from Trans people of ALL ages on Medicaid and ACA plans, Trans people need support more than ever.
So I'm making this illustration available as a print in my shop and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Point of Pride, an organization dedicated to providing financial aid for transition care. I'll post receipts of funds donated at the end of the month.
I'm aiming to raise at least $2000, as that's the amount needed to cover 12 months of telehealth services, prescription medications, lab work, and more for at least one trans person in need of HRT.
Transition care really IS life saving, it saved MY life. I wouldn't have lived to make any of the art that people have told me they love so much. My whole portfolio, all my work over the years, none of it would exist. If my art has ever meant anything to you, please, help.

I think modern Fallout games failed to capture the horror of botched nuclear prepping. In the late 1950s Americans were buying prefab fallout shelters and burying them in their back yards. In the Fallout universe these would have been wholly inadequate to survive the bombs dropping. These things would have become delayed-action tombs.
Could you imagine waking up in a vault under a grocery store or strip mall surrounded by 20 miles of "little boxes" suburbia in all directions? Hiking though a seemingly infinite expanse of house ruins, with no human remains inside of them? Every human skeleton is inside these rusty, water-intruded, underground dugouts in the backyards. Or right near them as they died of radiation exposure when their food ran out after Month 6. Sometimes there are ghouls or giant spiders inside. At what point does a player stop graverobbing, because it just isn't worth it? There's no food, no weapons, nothing but bones, toxic water, and the occasional hostile.
Make it about the insanity of atomizing society. Make it about the unsustainable nature of the suburbs. Make it about how consumerism can't save you, or any of us. Make it about how national war trauma leads to systemic self-isolation, paranoia, and ultimately more war, over and over again, until the inevitable conclusion.

happy pride month!
I've always had some insecurities regarding my sexuality before realizing that I don't care about labeling myself with anything, and that makes me feel at peace!
so take this as a reminder to feel at peace and happy with yourself!

Iranian photographer Hossein Fatemi, offers a glimpse of an entirely different side to Iran than the image usually broadcasted by domestic and foreign media. In his photo series An Iranian Journey, many of the photographs reveal an Iran that most people never see, presenting an eye-opening look at the amazing diversity and contrasts that exist in the country.
