ok if I have already posted this on tumblr I cant Find it, and I'm not gonna turn it into an actual scene, so here is a copy+paste from a word doc about aerith mulling things over re the first shad v magik's nami scene which happens AT HER DINNER TABLE and how this knowledge she has learned from this scene affects how she feels about PART 2 START CHAPTER 106 WHEN SHAD STARTS BEING MEAN TO RIKU..... and everything re Riku tbh.

but not NEARLY as fun as Aerith reminiscing on 1) she told Riku if he had a feeling he should listen to it, and urged him to go ahead and leave (ch67ish)

2) she's not dumb enough to miss the fact that hey, he probably felt he should leave to miss this nonsense

3) if she is being optimistic that was to avoid him and Shad meeting, but Aerith knows that honestly that was probably to avoid Namine

4) hey how does she even cope with the fact that, like, she knew Namine was a replica but she hadn't entirely parsed the "built from Riku's memories" thing until about now, and, and now she can see how the Namine she knows is this Namine filtered through the Riku she knows, and also

5) she rewrote his memories and then was forced to shatter those memories????? no blame because Aerith at least can see a no-good-options situation fine but, like, that's kind of a lot,

6) is riku like, okay???? is he?????????? (no, he's not, and you'll know that in more detail later, Aerith,)

The! But also 106 shad taunting riku, "you care about her, but she never, and she shattered you," and Aerith and leon just having to sit there like. is that right? did she never care? She seemed happy he was happy, she seemed happy he was alive, But do we tell him? Can we tell him? Should he hear it from her? / now’s not the time anyway because we should let him calm down and maybe try and tell him when he has a clear head [AND THEN HE GETS STABBED AT NEARLY DIES] [AND LIKE ALSO THE HEARTLESS HAPPEN WITHIN TEN MINUTES OF THE. THE…..]

God the fucking comedy of Aerith (Leon? Tifa????) thinking I dunno, he probably needs to hear it from her and then. She’s like 50 feet away tussling with shad. Lol.

(by which I mean the placement/timing of the shad v m!nami 2 scene is VERY funny)

Betwixt and Between update!

I am just... not sending out three chapters for AtPverse Daily.

Chapters 40-42 were all this "mysterious magical meeting" that I had in there, with all the magicians/sorcerers/etc from the land came and talked about the "darkness problem" left behind in the wake of Xehanort's death.

Sounds really cool, honestly. I wrote it while I worked at Disney World. Lots of fun easter eggs.

But that's all it is. Easter eggs. Nothing for the plot, and honestly *I* find it uninteresting reading it again.

When rar and I first talked about sending this stuff out and we were considering what might not get sent out (mostly superfluous stuff from Can't Escape or stuff that didn't Age Well) I remember thinking that those chapters were probably getting axed because they do nothing for the plot.

Well, I axed them. They're still on AO3 (and obviously ffnet) for posterity. If and when I do more major edits on the series, I will try to do them better justice. (And if I can't better incorporate them into the plot, they're just gonna stay axed I suppose??)

If I *do* major edits, it's probably getting reposted on AO3 entirely, and the original will remain up.

Okay, enough rambling for now.

So I'm going through and making little updates to AO3. Most of it is stuff that got tweaked for the emails (spelling, formatting, grammar, etc.) As well as taking out the little lines that just... did not age well over the decade.

Stuff that I didn't think about fresh out of high school but look at now and go either A) [character] would not say that; or B) how about we don't joke casually about things like mental health, apparent intelligence, and suicide, yeah??

I'll be doing it a little bit at a time. Considering I also have original fiction that I like to devote my time to.

However, this is a fun project to come back to and make edits on and I am enjoying AtPverse Daily shenanigans.

Who knows, I may end up making larger edits with things like

A) Leaning into the neurodivergence

B) Maybe making it a bit more gay

But that's a future thing.

[Repliku]'s mind reeled. Vexen Replicas. There were other Replicas? He couldn't remember any Replicas besides himself in the other universe. Maybe there'd been one more? He thought he remembered there being one more, but the memories of them—whoever they were—were fuzzier and vaguer than the rest of his memories.
