@ my last reblog: I miss the old internet and I really, really want it back, but what I miss especially is the phenomenon of making fansites and fanforums. Sure, you can have a dedicated fanpage nowadays too, even if it's limited to like 4 websites unless you're into wordpress format, but nothing is quite like building a whole ass website (even if it's hosted and mostly pre built, idc, it still counts) for something, figuring out basic webpage coding, filling it with magazine scans and article links, painstakingly downloading ads and interviews from yt and rehosting them not unlike planting greenery in your own yard etcetc just out of sheer love. We used to collect materials like you would collect precious gems or cool rocks. Where'd it all go. How'd we lose that.

It's so crazy how "Don't feed the trolls" was like the Motto of the internet & in forum culture of the 00s and early 10s and now you log onto a certain website and it's just an endless sea of people pouring gruel into the troll trough day in day out and no one seems to realize or care that their internet experience being a constant deluge of misery and bad faith discussion might in fact be their own fault

"why did you stop writing your story!!! never stop writing!!!!!!!!!!!" well you see the character had to drive one mile to a new location and the sentence "she got into the car" was quite simply my undoing
