Getting Over Girl Hate - Sidewalks
Today, I want to talk about something that has been heavily on my mind and has repeatedly come up in my journal writing: Girl Hate.
It all started when I first watched Cinderella as a little girl.
In the movie, all the women are made to compete for the same prince, who can only pick ONE lucky girl. This leads to jealousy and resentment toward Cinderella by her “evil” stepsisters and stepmother. continue reading...

Getting Over Romeo - Sidewalks
I have always been a die-hard romantic. Growing up, I devoured romantic movies like candy. I remember crying ugly, messy tears while watching A Walk to Remember and The Notebook. Those passionate confessions of love under pouring rain were everything to me. And Romeo and Juliet? Their love story was the epitome of romance for my teenage self.
As I started having crushes, I craved that all-consuming, fairytale love I saw in movies. But as I grew older and experienced my first heartbreak, the fantasy shattered.read more..

How to Become a Morning Person — Sidewalks
Some people aren’t just naturally morning people (myself included).
Being a night owl has been my natural rhythm for as long as I can remember. My most productive hours are late at night when everything is calm and quiet.
I’ve realized that, as much as I enjoy being a night owl, I equally hate the feeling of wasting my day away. There have been many days where I woke up at noon, and it always left me feeling a bit down because I felt like I was missing out on my mornings.
I used to have a messed-up sleep schedule from all my travelling, but now that I have finally settled down, I’m savouring a consistent routine.
Waking up at 7:30 a.m. and prioritizing eight hours of beauty sleep has become my new goal. If you want to become an early bird like me, it’s all about practice and a positive mindset.

Topics To Avoid On A First Date - Sidewalks
Let’s talk first dates!
They can be pretty awkward. You’re going out with someone you’ve only met for 5 or 10 minutes, or maybe not at all. It’s always a challenge to break the ice with someone you barely know. Personally, I don’t believe in keeping any topic limits because I value respectful, honest, and upfront communication.
When I want to discuss a potentially sensitive subject, I usually break the ice by asking, “Are we even allowed to talk about X on the first date?” It’s funny to see how people react, and it often leads to some really interesting conversations. continue reading…

Our Beachy Escape to El Nido-Sidewalks
Picture this: we arrived at Puerto Princessa in the early morning, just in time to catch the sunrise. We booked a van from the airport to El Nido, which meant a four-hour drive ahead of us. We were hyped up, but also felt like we could sleep for a week. I mean, who wouldn’t be excited about the adventure that was about to start? The drive was both exhilarating and exhausting, and the views were stunning. We were basically half asleep for most of the journey, but the excitement kept us going.read more...

How to Not Commit Murder During PMS
The other day was really tough for me. I was hit with some intense PMS and ended up breaking down in tears for no reason, which was frustrating. On top of that, during this time, I feel so blah and less than confident about myself, and when I look in the mirror, I feel like I look like Shrek!
Can you relate?
And don’t even get me started on the intense anger and irritability that I felt. It was too much to handle. I was picking up fights with my boyfriend for things that happened six months I ago. It was intense, to say the least. read more...
