headcanons are all well and good, and are a great way for fandom to interact with a piece of media, but the minute you start praising or lauding something for representation that is purely fanon you have sincerely lost the plot

Last but not least, the chorus. These people provided voices for minor characters, making the soundscape of Haven that much richer. Big thanks to Alex, @wastedarkcell, @dead-west-podcast, Jack, Loggerhead, Katrina, Ashlee, @starplanes, J.E. and @superhumanfoods for lending their voices to this project.

Sometimes you're gonna feel like you're drowning, and that's okay.
Sometimes holding onto hope that things will get better is all you can do, which is also okay.
Just hold onto that hope and don't let go. There are people that believe in what you're striving for. I promise.

i remember when i was a child internet safety was like "if you even hint at the country you live in, you're gonna get kidnapped and murdered", and nowadays it is encouraged or even necessary to give corporations every single personal detail if you want to use anything because if they can't sell your information they cry so hard they throw up

We're looking to work with people we've never worked with in this jam! If you're interested, just look for Lemon in the book club discord 😺 HYPED FOR THIS.
2025 Podcast Jam
The Podcast Jam is BACK for 2025! If you're unfamiliar, the PodJam is an event running from February to May in which teams of editors, writors, and actors collaborate to create the pilot episode of a new audio drama.
A handful of things have been updated following last year's jam, particularly with the timeframe: the creation period has been extended to a "Jam Month", so teams will now spend roughly a week in each phase of production - writing, voice acting, & editing. Here's the schedule:
Sign-ups: January 31st - March 23rd
Team Submission Form Deadline: March 30th
Team Announcements: April 5th
Final Project Withdraw Date: April 20th
Jam Month: April 7th - May 4th
Episode Submission: May 5th
Public Episode Release: May 24th
Jam Closing Ceremony: May 31st
SIGN UP HERE
SUBMIT A TEAM HERE
We're really excited to bring this event back, it was incredibly fun last year & we can't wait to check out the shows y'all create for the jam ✨. Further event details and guidelines are available in the Discord and on the website. To access the Jam category in the server, please open a Jam Support ticket or ping a moderator to be given the participant role after signing up for the event.

2025 Audio Fiction Convention
AuFiCon is almost upon us! For those that don't know, AuFiCon is a virtual community event hosted by the Podcast Book Club. Panels will be run over Twitch, with our Discord server hosting most everything else. The con is scheduled on a 24-hour basis to accommodate as many timezones as possible (with the schedule above listed in GMT), and events will be recorded for those that can't catch the live panels.
If you'd like to pick up a free ticket, you can do so on our EventBookings page, with the option to upgrade to a donation ticket if you'd like.
Additionally, we'd like to announce that we will be hosting an equipment giveaway during the convention! We here at the PBC are deeply appreciative of the opportunities we've been given through starting this community, and wish to give back to members who otherwise may not have access to podcasting equipment. One winner will receive a RODE NT-USB+ microphone and PSA 1+ studio boom arm. To enter:
Reblog this announcement post here on Tumblr
Complete the giveaway form here.
Finally, we are organizing a trailer event to showcase new, upcoming, and well-loved audio dramas during the convention. If you are involved in the creation of a podcast and would like your show's trailer to be played on the Podcast Trailer Event Twitch stream on the 1st of February at 4:00 PM GMT, please submit the trailer form here. (Submissions will be accepted until 26 January, 2025 at 11:59 PM EST.)
