Miracle is doing so, so much better this week. It was touch and go for a bit but she responded well to treatment and is now showing her true colors!

She seems to get along very well with canine Pokémon, and has made a very close friend with our senior resident herdier!

Miracle will be available for adoption starting next week. It is important that she is adopted out to someone who has other Pokémon she can play with as we do not believe she would thrive in a single-Pokémon home.

turned 37 today 👍 i was going to take some pictures outside to celebrate it but i literally haven't seen a single wild pokémon like all of today. even in the wild grass. is there like a meeting they scheduled that i don't know about

I'm going to open submissions next week with a template for people to fill out their information if they really want to adopt any of our residents here!

They'll be treated as actual art adopts with information on the Pokemon and their care/preferences. A small donation of $15 will be standard, but if people think the art/pokemon is worth more then you are more than welcome to donate more! All donations go towards upkeep and maintenance of our facilities, as well as medical expenses for our residents.

every once in a while I have to explain to a customer that, no, the “special connection” that you swear the rental team you did one battle with has with you does not mean you can take the rental team for free especially since 9 times out of 10 the rental pokemon are not up for possible adoption

i do not know how to explain this to you but that rental mudbray does not have a “special connection” with you, it has an innate desire to beat up the opposing growlithe and needs you to start giving commands so it can do that

Our resident Noodle is always, ALWAYS looking for a snack, and sometimes he gets a little overzealous around feeding time. He was brought to us completely covered in stuck shed from improper husbandry and severely underweight, but look at how beautifully he shines now!

Noodle will be listed as “available for adoption” starting early next week. I can’t wait to find this goofy little guy the right home.

Hi Tropius!! Something I've come to admire about my fellow humans is the different displays of human passion and compassion. In this line of work, it gets really hard to remember that humans can be good, but volunteers and researchers who put everything into understanding and loving pokemon helps me through the tougher days.

Huge PSA!!

Electric types are unfortunately turned in to us all the time because owners don’t know what they’re getting into. Please please PLEASE make sure you understand the needs of your Pokémon before buying from a breeder or adopting!

Friendly reminder to make sure your electric-types aren't overcharged! Overcharging can be seriously dangerous to them if untreated, but it's easily prevented and/or remedied simply by having them discharge electricity.

Common symptoms include pain and lethargy, as well as fever and noticeable, unintentional electrical sparks. Sometimes, electric Pokémon spark as a means of communication or internal regulation, but it's happening without the Pokémon trying, it might be cause for concern. In severe cases, a Pokémon may even become aggressive from the pain overcharging causes. And sometimes, if severe cases are left untreated, a Pokémon could straight-up die.

Like I said, earlier, though, it's easily remedied by just having the Pokémon discharge the excess electricity. It's prevented in the same way! Pokémon who battle using electric attacks, a lot, tend to be at a lower risk for this sort of thing, since they're naturally discharging a lot of electricity, but it's still worth paying attention to. If the Pokémon doesn't battle a lot, it's worth finding what you can to be a target, whether that be a local lightning rod, a ground-type Pokémon (because immunities), some berries (electrically-roasted berries can be a very tasty treat for both you and your Pokémon! :3) or whatever else. Just make sure you're helping your Pokémon discharge its electricity safely!

Also! Do keep in mind that just because your Pokémon overcharges, it doesn't mean you're a neglectful, or otherwise bad Trainer. It's something that happens, sometimes, even with the best Trainers. Help your Pokémon through it, and they'll be just fine.

And also! If you're an electric-type hybrid or an eeby, or just generally a sapient Pokémon, full or not, do remember to apply this to yourself, as well! Discharge your electricity on the regular, and don't overlook potential signs of overcharge!
