I know I haven't posted in a while. I'll explain this week. But tonight I need to reach out to my readers. I don't care at this point who you voted for. I don't. All I care about are the mass amount of people posting they are afraid online. No matter who received your vote, FOCUS HEAVILY ON THE PEOPLE WHO ARE HURTING TONIGHT. Tonight I've seen my female, Muslim, LGBTQ+, minority, mental warrior, low income, immigrant, and human friends cry. I've seen them express fear. I've seen them post from the heart. They're afraid of becoming second class citizens again, or even more. They're afraid of being hurt. They're afraid of having their rights revoked. So no matter if you swing left or right, LOVE YOUR PEOPLE TONIGHT, AMERICA. Don't gloat, don't shove facts down each others throats. Love those who need it the most. The past few weeks have been rather difficult for me, and a big thing I've been turning to for comfort is my religion; which is something I normally keep private, mostly out of fear of judgement of others. But you know, that's not how I wish to live my life. I'm a very religious person, and it's not fair to me to suppress myself out of fear of other people. My faith inspires me, comforts me, and brings me love; so why would I hide that? So I'm coming out of my religious closet to admit that yes, I practice Wicca...and I have been for about 6 years. No, I don't worship the devil (I don't even believe in Satan, that's a Christian belief), no I don't curse people. I worship nature, and practice love. Wicca has given me comfort like no other. I have found myself through this practice. I have been at peace. And I intend on (with this coming out of sorts) exploring more and becoming more involved with the Pagan/Wicca community. This all being said, as a child who was raised in the Catholic church, I still love my roots, and it's from learning of Gods love that I seemed for further truth or knowledge. But this is what's a comfort to me. This is what makes sense. And as always, I'll never judge others for following a different faith than me. Faith and religion brings a lot of us answers, happiness, and peace. And that's all I'm doing. Sending love to all my friends; Christian, Catholic, Muslim, Protestant, Pagans, Agnostic, Atheist, and everything in between. And thanks for reading; I'm looking forward to feeling more freedom to be myself.
