Amatonormativity is really frustrating, and I am not just saying this because I am aromantic. I have had at least three separate instances where people saw me and my sister, and assumed we were dating. And my sister told me that when she and our dad were at the grocery store once, someone thought she was his wife. If you are so conditioned to see romance in every man/woman interaction that you keep mistaking relatives for romantic partners, you need help.

Explaing the Weird Quirks of Weapons in the Cybertron Games
In Transformers: War for Cybertron and Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, the character’s arms transform into weapons, but they can switch which arm the weapon is coming out of, and it’s still treated like the same weapon, it doesn’t even reload the weapon during the switch, and you can’t have both arms as weapons at the same time. My hypothesis as to why they are the same gun is that the components of the weapon actually travel through the body from one arm to another. I put together a sketch to explain how it works
Tumblr media
As for why the characters can’t transform one arm into the primary weapon, and one into the heavy weapon, or do two primary weapons, or two heavy weapons. The energon drain would be too much, simple as that.
Some of the weapons like the Thermo Rocket Cannon are way bigger than the untransformed arm so how is that possible. Cybertronians in a lot of Transformers universes including the Alligned Continuity which the games are a part of have mass-shifting technology that allows something or someone to massively shrink or grow when they transform. I think thats what’s going on with these massive weapons, they are shrunk when not in use, but grow to their normal size when they are in use.
I know that this is all probably for gameplay reasons, but I like coming up with in universe explanations for this stuff.
