Hi, I’m pretty sure you’ve answered this already, but I was going back through some saved websites and blogs and I couldn’t find your secondary blog where you put some of your old Star Wars art. I remember a post leading to it, but I also can’t find that??? Maybe I’m misremembering, or maybe you don’t want it to be found, either way, I really really like your art, and would love to see it again, thank you :)
Hi :)
I deleted my secondary Star Wars blog because I no longer wish to be immediately associated with Star Wars. There are a few bits and bobs for SW floating around on my main blog, but I have removed most of it.
I'm sure some of the KTAU is posted on sites like Pinterest, and if you google Autumnchild22 online, I found out most of it pops up in images (which I wish it didn't, but hey. Post something to the internet and it's there forever).

Hey! I was obsessed with Kingdom of Heaven for a time - and Baldwin was definitely the focus of the obsession. And for good reason, masked enigmatic figures are great. The Leper from Darkest Dungeon is a great riff on the character if you want more of the same vibes. I've done a bit of research on the Zengid Dynasty, and would love to know more about your OCs place in their somewhat messy family dynamics
Hey! 😁 That’s a fun question!
I’ll admit, I’m no expert in the Zengid/Ayyubid dynasties and their messy family dynamics, but I definitely had to do some reading at Atefeh’s inception to figure out how and where she would fit in Saladin’s family. I've opted for some serious creative licensing and alternate history, but I’ve set my mad ideas out in dot points:
She's the eldest child of Saladin. His only daughter, with seventeen boys to follow her. (I know Saladin had only one recorded daughter and that she married her cousin. But I'm scrapping that and sticking to Atte being Saladin's one and only daughter).
Atefeh is the daughter of Saladin and his cousin-wife (a political marriage), who died in childbirth.
Atefeh is sent to Jerusalem as a political hostage at the age of six (6). Hence, she doesn't know her half-brothers (who were all born after this event).
She is not part of her brothers' early lives, so they don't trust her. The world says Atefeh of Jerusalem is a Christian sympathiser:
At the age of thirteen, she stood up in front of the Latin court of Jerusalem, forsook her father, and proclaimed her support for King Baldwin IV, newly crowned (the alternative was that the Crusaders took her head off for her father's war-mongering. But over the years, whispers flood the Levant and Outremer: Saladin's seed rules Jerusalem in all but name—the Uncrowned Queen of Jerusalem.)
Despite these events, her father asks her younger brothers to trust her (everyone thinks Saladin mad to still trust the daughter he gave away to Christendom. Though his trust pays off in the end).
Her first interaction with her half-brothers is with Al-Afdal (Saladin's oldest son). She's not impressed (he's two sips shy of a drunken lecher). There's nothing of their father in him except the ghost of his handsome face.
She meets the second son, Uthman, at a later date and believes he is a far better candidate to succeed Saladin. He studies the histories and philosophies (a favoured student of Imad's) but is far too hot-headed and impulsive. The third son, Az-Zahir, is every inch their father, though. Out of all her brothers, Az-Zahir is best suited to succeed their father, but the line of succession must be observed.
Eventually, family dynamics get really messy when Baldwin and Saladin manage to broker something more permanent between their two worlds. Then, the line of succession changes completely—Saladin wants Baldwin's daughter to marry one of Al-Afdal's sons. But Sybilla's son (little Baldwin) has something to say about that once he reaches his majority.
It's some COMPLICATED FAMILY DYNAMICS giving the Targaryens a run for their money.
However, with all this said in fun and games, I wish to make it clear that I fully respect the seriousness and am horrified by what is happening in these lands today.
“I warn you against shedding blood, indulging in it and making a habit of it, for blood never sleeps.” — Saladin.

"They say she threw herself from the highest tower of Driftmark. They say she did it to chase her father into the Seven Hells. Rumour thought it an act driven by the guilt of having maimed her youngest uncle.
Gossip even stretched to blatant falsehoods: as reparation for his blinding, Laenys Velaryon had been betrothed to him—why wouldn't she want to escape such a fate?
It goes without saying that if that'd been true, he would have done everything in his power to keep her safe. The loss of his eye was inconsequential next to the loss of her."

"In Another Life" — The Drowned Dragon
In another life, 'The Dance of Dragons' is merely a volume containing all the ancient dances of Old Valyria (that all noble children fear when maesters pull it down from dusty shelves), and 'The Drowned Dragon' is simply some curious lament floating about the docks of Westeros and Essos.
In this life, Laenys tells few what had befallen them in a forgotten timeline, and how every thread came undone for her to step back into the past and stop the dance.
Here's an art dump for my fav dysfunctional family, the Targaryen-Hightower-Velaryon-Strong brood, with the sneaky addition of an oc, Laeni V (Rhaenyra and Laenor's kid).

Heya! Just seen you ask about where your SW art went, and surprised by the answer. I certainly support you as you should do whatever you want with your blogs and I've certainly soured on SW myself... But I wanted to ask what was the reason you moved on so wholly? If there is one.
Ooh, I’d say it was probably a mix of things. I feel I’ve outgrown Star Wars, and as an artist, I was starting to hit my head against a wall with burnout over Star Wars-related art. My main blog was always meant to be just a place where I dumped art, but it kind of got hijacked by SW when I started posting SW-related content.
I could also go on to say I’m not a big fan of the direction Disney is taking SW. The quality of the writing has plummeted dramatically in recent projects (except Andor? I haven't seen it, but the reviews have been positive I hear). Whilst I support the actors and the crew, I’m just not vibing with the content, ya know?
I’m also trying to branch out with more original content, but I think I’ve still got to take that leap with my main blog—fandom-related content always performs better than the original stuff.
Anyway! Sorry for blotting out the sun with this post. Hope this sheds some light on what to expect from this blog 😊😁

Hi! I feel like I might be making something up, but did there used to be more posts in your Kenobi-Tano AU? Specifically about Cody and Ahsoka's relationship? I thought there a post about what happened during O66 and art about Cody's helmet? I could have sworn there were many more posts about your excellent Kenobi-Tano AU but now I feel like I'm imagining things
Hi!
No, you’re not imagining things. I revamped my blog a while back, removing many of the KTAU and Star Wars stuff. As an explanation, I felt that it was no longer a representation of what my blog is about (i.e., no longer a star wars blog). I’ve left some of my favourite SW art on my blog.
I won’t be posting any future SW-related things to this blog I’ve kinda made my peace and moved on from SW.

"'I'll tell Laenys!' had been a customary threat when he'd been a boy. She could always be relied upon to stomp out bullies and bring the others to heel.
He can fight his own battles now, but it is always a pleasure to watch her do battle with whoever happens to tread on her toes."
