В далёком уже 2009 году на экраны вышла картина «Тело Дженнифер». Это фильм, который можно определить как феминистский хоррор с элементами комедии. Он был снят женщинами и для женщин. Режиссёркой выступила Карин Кусама, сценарий написала Диабло Коди, получившая до этого премию «Оскар» за фильм «Джуно» (благодаря чему при работе над «Телом Дженнифер» ей единственный раз в карьере дали полную творческую свободу). Главные роли исполнили Меган Фокс и Аманда Сейфрид.
