[There is a pause. Teresa’s eyes slide over to a bag of raw sugar.]

[Jump cut to Teresa pouring the entire bag of sugar into her mouth. Remy and Zora are sharing a lollipop. Mestek is crunching on a bag of Barbecue Chips. Meanwhile, somewhere else, Alpha is enjoying a fine meal of steak and chocolate cake.]

MESTEK: -^v- Short answer: Yes, we can! We suspect that being dead means we have no need for normal bodily functions, meaning we don’t ever get hungry. But we can eat and taste stuff, it just doesn’t have an effect on their ghostly bodies.

REMY: I’m… not really sure how long it has been since… I don’t keep track of time. Sometimes, it feels like everything is so long ago, a distant memory. Other times… It feels like a fresh wound, burning every nerve of my existence. Zora… She… She makes things easier.

MESTEK: -^v- Bold of you to assume I know that. I’m a technical genius, not a chronal genius.

ZORA:  … I honestly don’t know. I stopped caring a long time ago.

REMY: Living on after death… Well, it feels like what you imagine purgatory would be like. Ghosts with unfinished business, but not quite sure how to “finish” that business. Or maybe that’s just me waxing poetic.

MESTEK: -^v- I’m fine, personally! (Aside from, ya know, everything involving my relationships.)

MESTEK: -^v- My first thought on things to do would be repairing the rifts between my quadrantmates, but uh… I’m losing hope on that. So I may just start exploring the bubbles.

[Mestek seems sad.]

ZORA:  Remy is still trying to recover from the damage he did alongside the torture of Lena. He spends most of his time around me, and tries to avoid Mes since he still sort of sets off his PTSD.

[She doesn’t want to talk about herself.]

CASS: Ah… not much, to be honest. I hang around with Gal and Aejaks still, but that’s about the extent of it. I still talk to the others, but… not as much, y'know?

[Cass seems alright.]

[Zora is looking down, a scowl on her face, Remy holding her. Mestek steps forward, looking a little worried, before sighing.]

TA: -^v- Rune is still alive. When we heard the news of the Scratch, Teresa killed Hope and then herself. Tarbhi was lost to the void… 

[He looks contemplative and sad.]

TA: -^v- The rest of us got hit by the scratchy wave, and then… well, we woke up dead. If anyone else died in a different way, I sure don’t know. 

[A shrug.] 

TA: -^v- I wasn’t exactly the most sociable, outside of my own little group.
