I don’t care for using some old sentences in this book (Honor is dead). There were too many of those, including some modern phrases.

Adolin is probably my favorite character. With Sahallan. So ending there was not what I wanted/needed. Hopefully Brandon fixes that in next Arc.

I am thinking the same thing. Renarin is given backstory with autistic traits pretty clear, but with Sezth-son-son-Valano you have to deduce from his childhood chapters.

Reading Szeth's backstory is great because it puts so much of his current actions into perspective. Oh, this bitch is autistic

Book 1, Kaladin: Everything is death and horrors and I can't do anything about it because everyone here is already dead. When I try to help things just get worse.

Book 5, Shallan: So many horrible things are happening around me and I can't fix any of it because everyone is long dead. Horrible things will happen to the world if these people get their way, and they are only as close as they are because of me. What if all of this is my fault?

Book 5, Kaladin: wow! These plants are so brave! They don't even flinch when I poke them! Syl!!! Look at these plants! Natural History is so cool!

Why do I read these Robin Hobb’s books? I am very anxious these days about Wintrow, Althea, Keffira. Paragon and precious Amber. Not so much about Malta now. Even I wonder will Kennit’s leg heal. Kyle can drop dead all I care.
