Thinking of this AU that has plagued me all day.

About Kate being some kind of human-succubus hybrid, not a full demon but still subjected to some rules of the kind, like an “allergy” to iron and aversion to salt, and John doesn’t even notice that, he just thinks she’s super hot. Anyways things happen and Adam comes to be. Given that his mother is half, he’s only ¼ demon so it’s unlikely he’ll ever unlock his true potential as one unless something drastic happens.

So Lucifer gets out of the cage and there’s talk of putting him back and Lucifer his highly objective to that, almost hysteric. 

Lucifer: I can’t take it! I can’t go back! You don’t know what I’ve been through, you don’t know what I’ve seen! That half brother of yours! The screaming! (Dean flinches) The whimpering! (Sam sad faces) The moaning!

Both Winchesters pause. “The WHAT?!”

Turns out getting thrown into the cage activated Adam’s demon heritage and, after a lot of convincing and guilt tripping, he’s gotten Michael to bang him as much as he wants. Which is always. Because that’s just what his kind does.

Lucifer is on the ground sobbing, begging to not be thrown back into the sex pit. Sam and Dean are still processing what he just said. Castiel is trying to figure out how Michael even used Adam as a vessel to begin with considering his heritage. Rowena is thinking of a way to make the cage see-through for the free show.

In heaven, Dean Winchester gets his own little bar and his own little cabin, and of course, he gets back the people he love.

At night, he climbs into bed and gets comfortable until a voice distracts him from sleep.

“Sleep is not required in heaven, Dean”

Dean doesn't mind this distraction.

Castiel stood at the side of the bed, with Dean’s back facing him.

“But you still can?” Dean asks without moving.

“I suppose.”

“Then I need my four hours, Cas.”

Cas smiled, still standing at the side of the bed.

“Then I'll watch over you, Dean”

This time, Dean stays quiet. This time, he lets his guard down. This time, he feels as the mattress dips and his angel climbs in behind him. This time, he lets him wrap his arms and wings around him. This time, he felt safe.

Dean Winchester smiled, because he's finally here, at the finish line, with the love of his life, and he couldn't ask for anything more.

also thinking very hard about michael and adam thinking of each other when they’re separated. michael is in the empty wasting away thinking about how adam likes his coffee in the morning (with so much sugar and cream that it can barely be called coffee after he gets through with it) and how the day before the rapture they were laughing about adam’s expression when he bit into something too bitter for him. adam is on earth trying to readjust to life on his own thinking about the stories of the days before the universe was created that michael would quietly tell him whenever adam asked and how michael had stretched his wings out in the face of the sun the moment they’d escaped the cage just to take in some of the warmth that was so absent down there. etc etc

I was thinking about Michael and Adam, I was thinking about how insanely strong their bond is because:

Directly after the two of them were released from the cage, Michael had to know it was a possibility for him to go back to 2009 and commence the fight with Lucifer the right way.

He knows he can beat Lucifer if he just doesn’t let Sam drag himself into the cage. And with the knowledge he has now, if he went back he could easily do it right.

he absolutely, undoubtedly knew that was a possibility.

So Michaels fresh out of the cage, definitely feeling that tiny itch in the back of his mind telling him, “Go back, go make it right. Don’t you want to see your father? Isn’t this what you want? This is your duty. fulfill your purpose.”

But upon becoming free and landing back on earth, Michael sees Adam’s blissful face, feels Adam’s relief and joy at being home, on earth, again. He observes Adams happiness and his features, everything he loves about Adam influences his mind. He feels guilty that the thought even crossed his mind.

Michael knew he couldn’t take that away from Adam. Michael also knew at this point in his life he never wanted to be without Adam ever again.

Michael chose to ignore the thoughts of winning, to push them out of his mind. And instead of doing everything he’s meant to do, everything he was made to do, he takes Adam to a diner to eat.

Instead of it all, he nags his beloved about the health of the food they’re consuming, knowing full well it doesn’t matter in the slightest with him being inside of Adam. He enjoys his time with Adam, talks to him, smiles with him.

He could go back, he could set it all right, do it all again, but he chose, he chose, to stay with Adam, to let it go and be with the one he loves.

Michael, prince of heaven, heavens viceroy, and Gods most loyal son, threw it all away for the vessel he has been possessing for the last thousand years, for Adam Milligan.

Midam is and always will be the strongest ship in Supernatural for that reason alone.
