Invincible AU / Gravity Falls crossover that has no bearing on the plot, but I find it absolutely hilarious.
Immortal was not, in fact, the 16th president of the United States. No, he was, in fact, the 8th and a half president of the United States, Quentin Trembley the Third. His presidency followed a similar, if more silly path, to his monarchy many years later, and he was ousted from office and investigated by the U.S. Government due to suspicious paperwork. He fled to Organ and founded Gravity Falls, but when the Government caught up to him, he encased himself in peanut brittle to avoid detection, believing it would be easy to escape afterward. Sadly, for him, the investigation took longer than he had ever imagined it would, and he fell into a deep Coma, during which the government erased all record of his existence. Many years in the future, he was awoken by Two Young Adventurers.
The peanut brittle that had once been his prison became his fuel, and he carried on his rain of silliness until the sugar high wore off, and he realised the error of his ways. He vowed to do good in the world and set out as a hero. When he built up enough notoriety, he was asked to join the Gardiens of the Globe. He was embarrassed by his bout of unreasonable-ness and vowed to never let anyone know of it, but let the fact that he was elected president slip to some of the other members. In an effort to keep Quentin Trembley's secret contained, Cecil agreed to let him claim that he was Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln's real body is removed from his grave, and every effort was made to ensure the secret is never revealed, but whenever those two adventurers watch the news, they smile to themselves, knowing that they are two of the few people who know the truth.

Parallel between the coven and Mormonism
It's unclear if everyone who joins the coven young or is born into the coven ascends at eight or if that is just when the girls did, but I still find the choice of age very interesting. In the Mormon church, eight is the age at which children become accountable for their sins and become baptized, making them official members of the church.
I'm not saying Mormonism and the coven are the same (Obviously not Mormonism is super homophobic, racist, and sexist, and the coven is led by a black lesbian), but I think it is still interesting how both religions chose that age to be such an important milestone.
Mother Aniseya repeatedly tells Osha that she's too young to know that she wants to leave the coven but continually pushes her to go through with the ascension. Mormonism similarly touts eight years old as the age of accountability where children become responsible for their sins and 'make the decision' to join the church. When you're eight and have been raised only to believe one thing your entire life, of course, you're going to want to take the next step.
The fact that Osha realized something strange was going on and decided to leave is super admirable. It took me until 16 to really decide to leave Mormonism, and that's pretty young, all things considered, and I had the help of outside resources.

I love the headcanon that the Jedi are absolute shit with money. Because Osha was older when she was taken to the temple she had a pretty good grasp on it, but she still had some stuff to learn when she left the order.
Sol and Yord both have some experience because they have been on missions and stuff, but Jecki has absolutely zero clue other than the fact someone told her not to waste it once, and she is sticking to that.
Osha: Hey Jecki. can you run into the refuel station and find something to break this 20 for me real quick? Hands Jecki a 20-credit piece. Jecki: It might take a while it's made of metal. Osha: What does that have Osha: ... Osha: No, I need a ten-credit piece, but I only have a twenty, so go buy something cheap. Jecki: What does that have to do with breaking it? Osha: Like breaking it into smaller increments. Jecki: OK... so buy something under nine credits? Osha: Ya, go get yourself a bag of chips or something. Jecki: But I don't need a bag of chips. That would be wasting money. Osha: But we need the ten-credit piece. Jecki: It would still be wasting money. Osha: Just go do it. Jecki: Does it have to be a bag of chips? Osha: NO. For force sake, just go!
