getting back to it.
this time last year was around the time that i started my wholeĀ āfitness journey.ā itās been one year and i donāt feel like iāve seen quite the kick ass amount of progress that i hoped i would see. seeing a personal trainer over the summer, i made so much progress in 6 weeks. i stuck to my diet 100%.Ā breakfast: eggs. 2 turkey bacon. toast. snack: 1 protein shake. 1 apple. lunch: chicken. sweet potato. broccoli. dinner: chicken. brown rice. asparagus. snack 3: turkey burger and broccoli. i feel like iām forgetting something up there. i felt amazing, i was starting to lose fat % amazingly. and then it seems i gained it all right back. i still feel like i look more defined than last year. i see quads a little bit, my biceps have muscle on them. but iām just not quite where i thought i would be a year ago. i ate half a bag of spicy cheetos tonight, finished with a bowl of cereal. like that freaking sucks. itās finals week. i have had to slow down my efforts in the gym because of a shoulder injury. iām just bummed. what do i do yaāll? just keep swimming?

2 weeks meat free!
Tomorrow marks two weeks of going on a meat-free diet! I had a little turkey bacon over the weekend because I thought I was going to give up, but after some encouraging words from my boyfriend I remembered why I wanted to do this. The number one thing I have noticed this far is i have had NO HEARTBURN! I was struggling with heartburn multiple times a day when I was eating meat! I'm so happy!

When seeing a successful person, I always check their age, if they are older than me I get relieved because I tell myself that I still have time to be just as good if not better

Oats with Walden farms strawberry syrup and a little cinnamon. I'm happy to have hit my macros (but left a little carbs for a party tonight). Usually over the weekend I just forget all about tracking and kind of do what I want. But I have been on point today. Yay! šŖš¼šš¼š #khfitfam #khfitgirls #khfallchallenge16 #fitfam #iifym #vegetarian

Actual photo of how I feel every time I am devouring my 7 oz. of chicken every day. It makes me feel gross. Most of all, IT DOESNāT EVEN TASTE GOOD OKAY? Ā I literally gag on my dry ass chicken every day just to get my protein in.Ā Since I was in the 6th grade (when I first found all the PETA videos bouncing around the internet) I have wanted to try going vegetarian! I have tried it on and off but have failed. I think I can be successful at becoming vegetarian after almost a year of counting my macros and understanding how to get my proteins, carbs and fats. Best part is, I usually go over on my protein anyway so I really donāt think it will be hard for me to continue to get protein whatsoever. Last year my goal was to become more fit, lift, and I have been successful.Ā Iām hoping that i can make this successful and begin to cut out meat from my diet!Ā Any tips from any other macro counters would be amazing.Ā :)
