I was inspired by the Teen Creeps podcast, went looking for my old teen thriller novels, and decided I just HAD to make my very own snarky recaps of these terrible old books I loved when I was 12.

Very similar to what happened to my mom. She's been sick for over 30 years now, for years doctors were just like "lol idk gtfo". Finally she was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome, then had to deal with a lot of, "oh, you're just tired all the time? Doesn't sound so bad" and doctors STILL not taking her seriously. Then, FINALLY, she got a doctor who knew what he was doing and finally got the correct diagnosis of lupus. (And still has to put up with people not knowing wtf that is and treating her like she's not really sick.) Anyway, invisible illnesses are a bitch and ignorant people suck.

I work at Australias version of tot hopic and the amount of middle aged people who come and buy our stuff specifically aimed at pre/teens and young adults for themselves is super weird and a little creepy. No one wants to see a middle aged woman (40-55) is skinny jeans and a crop top with Harley Quinn on it. Sure you want to 'feel young again' but this is not how you should do it. It's weird

My hair is super oily so I have to wash it every day or else wear a hat because it's visibly greasy if I don't shampoo every day. But my sister's hair is super dry so she only shampoos maybe once or twice a week? Different people's hair requires different hair care routines, it's not lazy, Jesus Christ lol

I'm always shocked when people want to know where the fuck you can live for $600 a month, because to me that sounds like a lot to pay for rent. Then I have to remind myself that Wichita is one of the (supposedly) most affordable cities in the US, because $600 here will actually rent you a pretty decent house. So anyway, obviously food is supposed to come out of the 800 "spending money", and I guess fuck us if we need to pay for water or trash. And heating? Pfffft, you're working 80 hours a week, just buy some damn blankets or something, right? Hell, if you're working 16 hours a day, you probably don't even NEED a house cuz you'll never be home anyway! Live in your car! Shower at the gym! Save ALL the money! Just, like, have you tried NOT being poor?!

So according to McDonald’s and Visa we supposed to work two minimum wage jobs to live. The funny thing is many of us work two or more jobs and still can’t make ends meet.

This is budget is just not realistic.

I have no savings. My rent is $968 a month. My car payment is $355 a month. My car insurance is $180 a month. My gas is $25 a month. My phone is $80 a month. My electric is $50-$100 a month. My internet is $70 a month. Plus I have debt, emergencies, and I also like to eat sometimes because I’m a human being but McDonald’s and Visa didn’t think of that!

It’s actually really classist and sick that people look away while poor and low income people suffer. I’m not ashamed to be poor. It’s not my fault, it’s the fault of a system meant to oppress and keep people down. It says something about you as a person if you ignore a poor person’s cry for help.

This is why there are so many homeless people in America. And these billion dollar corporate companies are trying to justify them not wanting to pay people what they deserve to be safe and happy. Bullshit. Minimum wage should be $20 an hour all across America!

He is disgusting overall, absolutely. But I thought it was clear when he said every time he's heard a married woman say "he wasn't really what I was looking for, but . . ." , he meant the woman was referring to her husband. Like, look at these women happy in relationships with men they initially didn't want to give a shot, you should totally give me a chance (settle for me even if im not what you want!) and we could be that couple! Which is still annoying, just not in an adulterous way.

You have to be pretty bored to find this entertaining.
