BG3 characters as D&D players

Shadowheart - player who wants to roleplay an edgy character but is too nice to actually do evil things in the campaign

Lae'zel - player who makes a character fully intent on murderhobo-ing and intimidating her way through the campaign, gets derailed by the power of friendship

Wyll - forever DM who is just happy to finally be a player; knows all the Forgotten Realms lore and has read all the DM's notes and has made a character that perfectly integrates into their story

Karlach - never played D&D but is a fan of a lot of D&D-related media; they were invited by Wyll's player to join, so he helped introduce her character

Gale - player who makes a 6,000-word document detailing their character's backstory and many achievements, inevitably making a character that is too OP for a level 1 adventuring party; DM has to nerf him by giving him a magic-eating MacGuffin

Astarion - player who makes a joke character whose primary goal is to quip through the campaign; commits to the bit too much to the point that it becomes real and he's actually crying
