Backstory: Ancestor to Blanka. Not much is known about them other than that they had traveled often and had a habit of collecting information on various people they had met. Because of rumors that were beginning to spread about them, the Eminence feared they could be a threat in leaking private information and ordered her Enforcers after them, but was rescued by the Guardian. While unknown where they traveled after that, some of their documents left behind were eventually found by an Information Broker by Blanka’s time.

Backstory: Ancestor to Blanka. Inspired by the Champion, she tried to become a hero just like her. Being a lowblood, she was often bullied or underestimated, but she trained hard to show them wrong and to become a symbol for lowbloods that it wasn’t impossible for them to achieve higher dreams. She created a mask to hide her identity from the Eminence’s Enforcers as she fought crime, and earned the title of Guardian at the colony she defended. Redacted is one of the few who learned of her true identity, but stayed loyal in keeping it a secret.

Personality: Energetic, picks sides with what benefits her life most, likes parties and fighting, and acts like a daredevil. Can get carried away and will often exact revenge with intent to kill on the first try for small grudges.

Strengths:

- Skilled at various ways of assassination.

- Can extend her own life for each life taken.

Negative Traits:

- Her overconfidence in her own abilities makes her careless and unafraid of taking injuries. Dealing more damage than what she can absorb is key.

Backstory: Ancestor to Zhihao. In her youth, she was a big fan of the Champion and trained hard in the art of combat with hopes of enrolling as one of her soldiers. The sudden passing of the Champion disheartened Birute, and she speculated with the rise of power of the Eminence, that something shady was going on. She doubt that such a Warrior Queen as the Champion would have been defeated so easily, and infiltrated the Eminence’s guard to investigate. During this time, she ran into Kalman who was being hunted by the Eminence’s Enforcers for interfering with crimescenes. Originally, Birute planned to win his trust to use his strength to distract the guards to allow her quicker access to the Eminence with the weakened security, but she eventually started to develop feelings for the clumsy brute. To hide from the Eminence’s forces until a new plan fell into motion, she faked Kalman’s death and hasn’t been heard from since.

Personality:Determined to be seen as a hero. Dislikes being destructive, but is provoked into accidentally breaking things when insulted after doing a helpful deed. Does not believe in fate at first, but eventually starts to ponder if there is some sort of destiny planned for him after meeting Birute.

Backstory: Ancestor to Zhihao. Being an Indigo blood, he was offered luxury and positions of power, but instead developed a reputation seen as odd among the other Highbloods, donating his wealth to those lower in the hemospectrum. He was also often seen as an annoyance with how he would attempt to be heroic and come to the defense of injured lowbloods during investigations held by the Eminence’s Enforcers,  which eventually gave him the opposite of what he wanted, building a wanted reputation as a villain rather than the hero he wanted to be seen as. In his frustration, he pondered embracing the role of villain if that was all he would be treated as by the Eminence’s society, but changed his mind when he met Birute. The two tried to hide away together, but it wasn’t long before the Eminence’s Enforcers found them. Not much is known of their fate after that, but the Enforcers that did return to the Eminence reported that they witnessed Birute stab Kalman, and that it was as if time stood still at the conclusion of the fight.

Darina has become a notable figure in the Blackmarket, auctioning off relics and lusii to both the Empire and the rebels, and also has some connections with an information broker. She had a brief relationship with Dervis before he stole something from her inventory and ran off.

Backstory: Ancestor to Shimon. Since a young age, she had a constant interest in flight and wanted to build her very own ship and explore around the galaxy. However, during the rise of the Eminence, space travel was only authorized for officers of her regime, and Apomix had no interest in training under her rulership. Rumors say she managed to craft her own spacecraft, but her overall fate was left unknown. The remnants of one of her journals found by Shimon is what sparked his interest in learning engineering and navigating.

To please his new Queen, he even went as far as sacrificing a group of traitors planning to rebel against her, a few even being long time friends of his. It was during this event that he got scarred. Under orders of the Keynoter, he is in charge of both gathering local information and spreading propaganda against enemies of the empire.

Backstory: Captain of an execution force of the Enforcement. Not frequently called upon except for severe crimes. He has the freedom to execute swift justice without need of a judge or jury, and will never give up his chase when called upon.

Personality: Treasures material items more than people. Enjoys gambling. Has a creative mind and aspires to be a Hero, but his inability to discern fantasy and reality limits him and puts more lives at risk instead.

- Is able to create his own luck, taking advantage of situations that benefit him the most.

Negative Traits:

- When he loses, he loses big.

- Not all information he knows is accurate.

Backstory: Ancestor to Roxana. In his youth, he turned to a life as a con-artist so that he could afford his hobby of reading. With his lack of friends however, he was never told about the difference between historical texts and fantasy novels, leading to him having unrealistic dreams and ideals. Eventually, he decided to make his own adventure like one of the heros in his texts, and stowed away in an Imperial vessel. When he arrived on a different and unfamiliar planet, he noticed a Troll colony having some difficulties with the ecosystem of the area and tried helping them out. With the recent death of their advisor/mayor, Phobos took the opportunity to fill their shoes and manage the small colony. Whenever questioned by the Eminence’s drones, he uses the identity of the former mayor to avoid suspicion, and managed to work his way onto the Council.

Personality: Businessman. Puts intelligence over brawn. Refuses to be manipulated into aggression, yet has lackeys or drones handle fights for him. Has a strong desire to mark his brand on everything in his possession.

- Is intelligent and skilled in robotics.

Negative Traits:

- Lacks sympathy, and as such can not be reasoned with.

Backstory: Ancestor to Dougal. Gregor is a successful entrepreneur, and during the rule of the Eminence, set up a business of robotics that continues to grow in power. At one point, he was very passionate about his work and even developed a flushed relationship with a rust blood he rescued from the streets. One day after meeting with the Eminence’s council however, he started to change, becoming more invested in his work than enjoy a social life. His mate became furious at his sudden change of behavior, setting fire to one of his labs before leaving him. When he learned the identity of his descendant, he was disappointed that he took the blood color of the rust blood, but sent out drones to search for Dougal so that he could brand him as owned by his organization regardless.

- If achieved Godtier, would create a field of good or bad luck to all beside her.

- Can use psychic ability to make items combust.

- Robotic legs extends her stamina by a small amount.

Negative Traits:

- Because her robotic legs were manufactured by Gregor, they can be remotely shut down if she gets in range of one of his trigger devices.

Backstory: Ancestor to Dougal. She was poor in her childhood and often ended up in a lot of fights with the Highbloods. One of these fights even cost her her legs just for stealing a scrap of food from a Purpleblood. To her surprise, Gregor, a Cerulean highblood, shared some generosity and healed her with some prosthetic legs. Although she still had some doubt about Highbloods, she started to develop a flushed relationship with Gregor from the feelings she felt from him being helpful to her. As time went by however, she began to notice changes to his behavior, him becoming more isolated and controlling. After a while, she began to ponder if he was just using her and set fire to one of his work stations out of anger before fleeing, regaining her distrust of Highbloods. After the culling, she ensured her offspring stayed hidden from Gregor, but disappeared one day in a burst of fire protecting her wriggler from a drone.

Backstory: Ancestor to Azazel. During the rule of the Champion, she was a renowned prophet, visited by many to ask for miracles. When the Eminence came into rule, she saw potential in her abilities, and offered to unlock her true potential. At that moment, she saw a terrible vision related to the Eminence, as well as the outcome of her own fate, making her hesitant to take up on the Eminence’s offer. Suspecting what she just saw, the Eminence forcibly captured her and brainwashed her into her service.

Backstory: The public voice for the Eminence. She shares her will to the council, and use the fruits of their conversations to do what she can in maintaining morals of the colonists and swaying them to put their trust and belief in the Eminence’s rule. In worse-case scenarios, she can use her psychic abilities to trap someone in an illusion until they break and incapable of rebelling.

Negative Traits:

Backstory: Ancestor to Lorlei. At one point, Sunita used to be very cheerful and expressive with her emotions and would openly express herself in her performances. However, her personality changed during the rise of the Eminence. She was one of the few to witness her rise to power, and when ‘gifted’ some of her knowledge, Sunita’s demeanor became more serious. She behaves as a speaker for the Eminence for the council. In addition, when enemies of the Eminence do not survive interrogation, she is able to call forth their souls and attempt to persuade the information wanted from them.

Backstory: Ancestor to Oberon. He was a witness to the rise of the Eminence. Unlike others in the council, Belial had a negative reaction to receiving the Eminence’s ‘Gift of knowledge’, and instead was driven insane. He was locked away in a tower, where he tries to deceive others into freeing him by sending false information through messages pretending to be a guide.

Backstory: Ancestor to Korina. Amparo works for the Eminence as a head of law enforcement, using her exceptional abilities to collect information from arrested criminals and determine their innocence and guilt. She gave reference to assist Korina getting into the Enforcement program, but was disappointed when she got caught up in Gundis’ plot. Although she cares for Korina and wants an explanation for getting involved with a bundle of rebels, she is devoted to her job and will carry her objectives through in interrogating them once they get their hands on the rebels.

Specifically organized and requested her genes be mixed with Amparo’s, coming to the conclusion that their mixed genetics would make an exceptional and intelligent offspring for a law enforcement career. Through her research, she has a belief that there’s a certain way that fate should play out, and will do anything to keep things as they should be, even if it costs lives.

Backstory: The ancestor to Baldur. He is a member of the Council with a vision of rebuilding colonies into larger, artistic cities. Although he stands for the abolishment of the caste system, he dares not defy the Eminence as she had taught him his knowledge, and knows fully well that she has the ability to take it away if he shows doubt in her ideals.

Backstory: Ancestor to Gundis. She was a former ruler of the colonies prior to the rise of the Eminence and the Council. Her bravery in directly defending the colonies heralded her as a hero, but her determination of defending the innocent eventually became her downfall. A robotic foe restrained her as her comrades were slain one-by-one beside her, and her grief led to her death in battle, though not before slaying the robotic creature. When the Eminence came into power, memorials were erected of her to maintain morale in the colonists.

- Was caught trespassing in a Highblood colony and sold into service under Abioye.

Strengths:

- Is committed to his rank and will not give up if ordered by the Eminence.

- Robotic lower half enhances his speed, kick strength, and allows controlled movement in zero gravity.

- At full power, can atomize the targets of his frustration should he acquire Godtier.

Negative Traits:

- Has a one-track mind, being persistent to chase down his enemies. Beuwuf was assigned to him to keep an eye on this weakness and offer alternate and less reckless solutions.

- His strict and commanding personality causes dislike to many people who are uncomfortable with him obsessively expressing his rank and getting ordered around.

Backstory: A servant to the Eminence and an Admiral to his own squad of Enforcers in charge of arresting threats. He also has an additional power of capturing planets for the Eminence. In a few cases, Abioye has also eradicated any groups who resisted being under their rule when certain no witnesses were around to spread rumors of his murders. He lost his lower half in a duel with a convict who used his vanity against him and cut him in half when he let down his guard. The Eminence saw potential in extending his life, healing him with robotic lower limbs, but the knowledge that there was a survivor with information that’d threaten his goals was out there somewhere put him on a higher edge, being more swifter on execution rather than imprisonment.

Personality: Overconfident and enjoys teasing those on the losing end of a battle. Has a natural affinity to sense when someone feels cornered, or how a situation might play out.

- Uses “Goes with the flow” tactics, making her strongest at improvisation.

- Overconfident in herself.

Backstory: Ancestor to Lenore Tsisia. Through much trial and error, Beuwulf became an experienced and strategic veteran in combat and earned herself a position serving the Eminence. Her special position allowed her to raise her own child, but her duties to the Eminence prioritized most of her time. Because of her calculating skill and adaptive instincts, she was made second in command of a squad of Enforcers to arrest any threats to the Eminence’s rule. To Beuwulf’s surprise, Lenore got herself on the Eminence’s Wanted list. making her more determined to capture Gundis’ space vessel.
