Nico in a modern world setting would be a streamer called 'Ghost King'.

Specifically, a horror game streamer. That would be like his main thing. He's that streamer who plays horror games but rarely gets jumpscared. He's the type to make sarcastic comments and critic on game design while being chased down by a ghost.

He rarely plays multiplayer games, but when he does, his streams are so fun and chaotic because he would lose his cool while playing with his friends who, especially in a game setting, he consider as idiots.

Imagine him playing Phasmophobia, Forewarned or Demonologist and just getting invested with trying to figure out the type of ghost/spirit/evil while the other three players are running around, unintentionally provoking the ghost/spirit/evil as they scream into the background. They'll be wondering why Nico isn't responding to them and jump into his stream, only to find out that Nico have them on mute.

Imagine him playing Among Us. He would be a ruthless killer.

Will Solace being a blonde little shit is my favorite headcanon. Forget the "sunshine golden retreiver" energy: he laughed when Meg kicked someone in the balls. Will Solace lived with chaos his entire life and now it's everyone's problem. He 100% endorses violence he doesn't have to clean up after.

Nico fell for a sarcastic asshole who makes up thousands of names for him *just because he can*. The scariest boy at Camp can't do anything about nicknames because Will thinks it's funny to make Nico annoyed. The boy has no fear.

Sure, everyone THINKS Will's a perfect child. When authority's around, he plays the worried older camper with a heart of gold. Chiron adores him. "Oh, Will Solace hurt your feelings?? The blonde with a charming smile who'd never hurt a fly???? Find someone else to complain to, son of Ares." Will can get away with anything short of murder and be fine.

Potentially unpopular opinion: I think personal loyalty is more Nico's fatal flaw than Percy's. I mean, Percy is loyal to the people he considers friends, but he's consistently able to put the fate of the world first (despite that being the thing that Athena was so worried about him not being able to do). It's really only his little field trip to Tartarus with Annabeth that's caused by his personal loyalty. Which is bad, don't get me wrong, but I don't think one event really qualifies for a fatal flaw.

Nico, though? Nico gets screwed over by his fierce loyalty and devotion to people he cares about basically every book. He gives his loyalty too fast, he doesn't revoke that unfaltering devotion even when the person he's given it to really doesn't deserve it (usually not because they're a bad person, but Nico usually gives a lot more than he gets without much by way of even appreciation or gratitude—much less reciprocation—in return), and he consistently accepts the consequences on himself; sometimes he manages to avoid said consequences (for example Hades isn't quite able to bring himself to blast his own son to bits for trying to push him, Persephone and Demeter to join the war against Kronos, so Nico manages to avoid getting hurt over that little request from Percy), but more often he... does not. His little trip to Tartarus is a notable example: he made that choice, because it was what the gods and the camps needed, and it very nearly destroyed him. And in TSatS he intends to put himself through what is basically the closest thing in the setting to actual hell for a second time because someone he's loyal to needs him.

And Nico is an incredibly loyal person! The only time his loyalties come into question is when he's put in a situation where he has to choose between two people who both command his loyalty; the incident in Last Olympian is the perfect example, where he's forced to choose between loyalty to his father and loyalty to Percy. But his loyalties are questioned regularly, because of... well, mostly just because of the incident in Last Olympian, which seems a little unfair given he ultimately put his loyalty to Percy first and it was apparently Percy telling the Seven about that time Nico "betrayed" him, but whatever. And just in general because he knew about both camps and said nothing, which is unfair when you consider the gods, Chiron and Lupa at least all knew and kept their mouths shut and their loyalties are never questioned, but again: whatever. Nico is perfectly, unflinchingly, unfalteringly loyal to the gods (and specifically his father), the camps, and Percy in particular, frequently to the point of doing serious damage to himself, and he basically never gets anything in return! Hell, he willingly chooses Tartarus and when he somehow manages to survive and come back he gets... the Seven (minus Hazel) all thinking about how creepy he is and how weird it is that this kid who had to survive Tartarus alone and then spent a week in a jar slowly suffocating to death isn't super friendly and cheerful. Nico's loyalty constantly screws him over and never gets him anything! I don't know, that feels more like a fatal flaw than "Uh... grudges" when he never actually keeps grudges.

writing warm-ups

do you wake up and immediately go to work? no! you have coffee and breakfast first, you wash your face, you get dressed. similarly, you have to warm yourself up before facing a writing challenge. warm-ups are also a great way to fight writers' block. here are some ways to do this:

-keysmash poem; mash that keyboard until you get 6-12 random letters. these are the first letters of each line of a poem you will write. oh, you say you're not a poet? i didn't ask! just mash that keyboard and cough a poem up and never read it again. -letter to the editor; pick a topic that pisses you off. the smaller and more arbitrary, the better. write a paragraph detailing the issue to a neutral third party with as much passive aggression as you can muster. -rewrite; grab a random page of some old project of yours and rewrite it. really think about what you like and dislike about that page, look at it from a new perspective, twist it around until it's different-- doesn't matter if the rewrite is better or worse, because you aren't editing here. you're just getting your gears spinning. -fictionalize it; think of something that happened to you, like a brief interaction with a stranger or a funny mix up at work. turn it into a one-page scene. -dream journal; record an interesting dream. list out details you can remember, or write it like a journal entry, or wax poetic about what it all means. -shitty fanfiction; self explanatory. the more self-indulgent, the better. set a timer for ten minutes, blast off, and then pretend it never happened. -deleted scenes; think about the in between moments of your project. write an email from one of your main characters, or a scene from their childhood, or a text conversation log, really anything that you wouldn't put in your main work. -confessional; pick a fictional character, yours or one from a piece of media you love. write their ten confessions in as much detail as you want.

Last year was the peak of my interest in the Dream SMP. As school started it got to be hard to keep up with my irl and online life. But now I’m more mature and can do what I love :) running this blog has always been my passion and I’m glad to be back at it.

My bed is messy with hobbies. My teeth are yellow. My nightstand is covered in trash. My hands are cold from the snow outside. My hair is greasy.

I haven’t posted on my accounts in months. I’m shadow banned on a few of them. My phone is always on do not disturb, so I only talk to who I want to when I want to. My blankets are suffocating. My skateboards are begging me to go for a cruise.

My fingers know where every letter on my phone’s keyboard are, I even typed this whole sentence with my eyes closed. It’s 3:00 am. I’ve been scrolling forever. This post is too long. All my posts are to long.

But that’s how I like it, and this is how it’ll stay.

People wonder why people like George so much because he’s just ‘some average guy’ and that’s the thing: he’s so ‘average’ and he’s so authentic about it, it’s great to watch someone be such a nice and fun person and not change anything about themselves.

He’s a very good looking man but he’s never played on it, he’s perfectly capable of doing so and there’s nothing wrong with doing so, he knows if he dresses a certain way and presents himself a certain way he could 100% play on it all but he doesn’t: he wears the same jumper and sweats because he’s not trying to play on anything

He’s funny but not once has he tried to label himself as a comedy YouTuber and he’s never played into that either

He’s smart; he’s a genius when it comes to maths, science and technology but he doesn’t make that his thing. He can code anything he wants but he doesn’t use that either

He can play drums and bits of other instruments but he’s never shown us apart from him playing recorder because although that’s a thing that could get him more views, it’s not what he primarily enjoys doing so he doesn’t do it

He’s amazing at minecraft and has been told if he applied himself more he could be even better and get on Dream and Sapnap’s levels: but he’s never tried to.

My point is he doesn’t care about being known for anything. He’s fine that in all of these departments he’s average. He’s not the model youtuber or the comedy one or the nerdy one or the musical one or the gamer sweat, he’s just him, and people have said that like it’s a bad thing but he’s perfectly content with it

To top it off, most importantly he’s just nice. He’s a nice person. He would never try to upset a fan and is nice (maybe a bit of a pushover) to everyone in his chat. When fans came and interrupted him and Wilbur mid-stream multiple times he never once showed any sign of getting annoyed and made conversation with all of them despite being awkward. He once streamed when he absolutely didn’t want to because he accidentally left his online chat open and didn’t wanna bait his fans. Ponk has said George is one of the nicest people he’s ever met and even bought him the iconic supreme mask that Ponk wears on his minecraft skin. Fundy has also said George was one of the nicest people he ever met and was really excited to be having his first sleepover at his flat with Fundy. Whenever he’s in a group of new people, like in among us or MCC, then he warms up to them so quickly and instantly speaks to them as if he’s known them forever. Whenever someone is leaving a very busy group call and everyone is too busy talking to say goodbye to them, George will always stop what he’s doing to make sure he says goodbye.

When Wilbur spoke about George fans picking George to be their favourite, he said ‘you picked a good one’ and I agree <3
