Anyway, prompts for TreebarkWeek2025 are here! Because a lot has happened since last event, hasn't it? Don't worry, we freaked out too, and that's an understatement.

As always, this event is dedicated to creating content for the Treebark ship and sharing it with others who like it too. Based on the poll we ran earlier this year, we've decided the event will take place from June 30th to July 6th, with our usual dual prompts!

This time we bring you a gimmick called Mash! Basically, if you feel like spicing up the event week by picking two prompts for the same piece, why not mix and mash prompts from different days? Go wild! It certainly has been some wild times since we last ran this event, hasn't it? You can follow the prompts or make your own, and create whatever you'd like—canon, canon-divergent, AUs, anything!

Use the event tags #treebarkweek and #treebarkweek2025 so we can find your post and reblog it for others to see! You can tag us as well to make sure we see your post.

We'll let you all know when the date grows near! Keep an eye out, and until we meet again, Hand—! I mean, Captain. I mean, my Liege— Oh not again—

aka: i said i wasn't going to write martren bodysharing angst but here i am, writing 2k words of martren bodysharing angst

The remains of Martyn’s corporeal form gazed down at them, bloodless and blank-eyed, from the palisade at the edge of their man-made lake. He—it—was already starting to decay. A cluster of pale maggots was eating away at the skin of its cheek, revealing a sliver of bone beneath, and everything about it stank of rot and death. “Martyn,” Ren said uncertainly, knee-deep in cold water.

treebark title swap is (probably) running again!!

after learning the errors of my ways in modding a 70+ person event entirely on my own, I’ve assembled a team and will be running the event again with their assitance this spring!

largely, this event will function the same, with better behind-the-scenes work, and the mod team (since now its a team) will be more on top of things.

additionally, as many treebarkers are likely involved with the inthelittlezine, this event will not be running until AFTER that has finished. We’re looking late April-June here for creating time.

however, word minimums of 300 words and art minimums of a sketch will not be changing. additionally, the shipping/non shipping channels will remain separate to include as many people as possible. The point of this event was to be chill, and share some cool titles, and it’s staying that way.

Treebark Week but I'm late Day Seven

GRAHHH I'VE DONE IT

This one was setting me up for angst HARD but I said nuh uh and turned it into victory instead

That moment when the two of you experience a category five world ending event but you're both alive and covered in blood that (probably) isn't yours and you get to see the sunrise again

This isn't actually a scene in FE (yet) but idk I didn't really have anything already canon to put in here so I just made something up

I wanted to follow the monochrome theme I was going for but I wanted to fully color it at the same time as a treat, so bonus full color under the cut!

This one was actually genuinely hard for me cause most of the freakin' AU takes place in autumn/winter lolll

Was brainstorming with Stone and we were both like "strawberry ice cream" at like the same time, so yeah, best thing I could come up with for this

Also I thought I might mention that FE!Martyn's villain costume is heavily inspired off of New Life Martyn, so there's that

Also Martyn in this AU really likes chocolate while Ren likes vanilla

The ends of Martyn's bandana are tied into the braid cause I think it looks cool 😎

Also Ren's bow is inspired by Cherrifire's Ren!!

Day 7: Tears & Blood

Whoops, I'm a little bit late. Also warning I guess, this one has more blood than my drawings usually.

My first Treebarkweek animatic was of 3rd Life finale and this is also about it but whatever.

I think Martyn was killed by shooting arrows but swords are cooler, so now he is killed using a sword!
